​@@tristanc2271The best version of this I've seen (mysteries through fights) are Jojo's Bizarre Adventure parts 4-8 (starts of around part 3, but the formula is perfected around the end of part 3, making parts 4 and onwards great at this from start to finish). The fights in Jojo are rarely just a straightforward brawl and usually include a lot of figuring out of who is attacking you as well as what their ability is, where they are attacking you from, what their objective is etc. If you like that, I'd recommend it to you.

When you look at it down to it's core, they are more or less the same. Both make use of prep time to devastating, had family die (more than once), have an enemy that knows their identity/their every weakness. Has an enemy they get along with as often as fight against. Both are constantly holding back. The main difference between the two of them is their powers, and the fact Spidey actually THRIVES in chaos and Batman loses effectiveness in chaos he didn't plan. Look at every time Batman loses. It is always when someone throws him off his game and makes things stop going along with his plans.

Hugo Strange says in Arkham City that Batman is as much part of the problem as every other villain he refuses to kill. In fact it might actually be much worse, because the villains enter in contact with him and re-emerge with a new purpose, usually vengeful, endangering ever more people now, so Batman is basically acting as a mutagen, and all because he refuses to take out the trash. Batman imo is far from a hero. He's rather a self obsessed and self righteous brat who was born into unimagiable wealth and copes with his trauma by letting the only one who kinda entertains him in a fucked up way live. Everyone besides Joker is boring and plain. Even the other villains. He's anything but a good person. He beats up Jaywalkers and low tier crimimals and puts them behind bars. How does he expect these "criminals" to return to normal life, when he again puts them into medical debt etc.?
