Plo Koon was perhaps the only master on the council that was a pure uncorrupted Jedi. I thought at first that he was Just Another Window Dressing Jedi in the prequels, but he was fleshed out in the Clone Wars to be one of the only Jedi that was truly true to the ideals of what a Jedi should be. Now if I rewatch the prequels, I cry witnessing his death.

I think Palpatine would hire the bounty hunter Bane to break Dooku out since he hired Bane throughout the clone wars and had a lot of success with him. There was even an episode where Bane stole a holocron from the Jedi temple.
