I think that Blastoise would rise as a spinner that can better take the boosted Fire and Water attacks over the other spin options. Haze also helps deal with Suicune boosts.

That’s nice but the problem be how dose it threaten them out Vs water/rain what is it gonna do vs other then spin when the main abuses are water - grass/dragon - kingdra ludico And vs sun sure blast have 105 spdef but do you really want him coming in to be hit by a sun boosted fire blast from zard or tres and the following hp grass when your hydro will be weaker plus that gives zard sub set up time Over all I could see tentacrul being better the blast beicase better spdef and other move options sure sluge boom is physical but it gets sd and it’s speed is better at 100 and he also gets haze and gets giga drain so other bulky waters can’t win a 1v1 Tentacrul would be better in that role Like a set could be Surf/slugebomb Rs Haze Then toxic or giga

If the other hidden abilities were in the game, imagine Magic Guard Alakazam, Multiscale Dragonite, Moxie Gyarados, Heracross, and Salamence, Rain Dish Tentacruel, Magic Bounce Espeon (with BP), Sheer Force Nidos and Tauros, Technician Breloom, Speed Boost Sharpedo, Regenerator Slow Twins and Tangela, Unaware Quagsire, Dry Skin Jynx, Harvest Eggy, Scrappy Swellow, Toxic Boost Zangoose, etc.

I think there could be some nice theorymonning in regards to if certain HAs were available in Gens 3 or 4. Unironically I think Damp Swampert could have use cause blocking boom makes you an even better Metagross switch-in. Granted Metagross could start to run HP Grass but still. Bulky boomproof walls are also seemingly rare outside of MAYBE Dusclops but that doesn't get much use from what I've seen.

Toxic boost would be not easy to pull of at all but I can see it working if someone likes to spam Toxic and pays for it. What I think would be really interesting is Blaziken. It would be really powerful since it can invest more into both of its offenses. Other interesting cases would be Sandrush Sandslash and Xatu could potentially be as good as Espeon because of the Spikes and Earthquake immunity. And Moody Glalie would be terrefying as well, oh god

Its important to note that Sand would probably be much worse since Ttar doesnt get SPDef boost from it and it cant come in Politoed or even Ninetales HpGrass so easily and there is no Sand Rush/Sand Force, so Sand only applies chip dmg until it gets replaced. This means that Lax|Bliss|Cune would be better As for other options, i think Poliwrath could be amazing, even on Sun. You can go choice band Water Absorb or mixed lefties to check waters, Blissey, Ttar and Snorlax. Ludicolo can also be great on rain ofc, even with Rain Dish, with sub seed to annoy blissey. Quagsigre might be also pretty strong since it checks all setters (outside of hp grass) and can be pretty annoying with toxic. Pokemon like Gengar and Starmie will lose some of its defensive utility since they get oustpeed more easily, so i suspect that choice banders like Snorlax/Slaking might become decent options, specially without sand so dominant. Gengar can still adapt to a salac set to check some chloropyl users and swift swimmers with thunderbolt, firepunch and hp grass but it depends on speed benchmarks. Another great check for speed users is hp grass Gardevoir.

Hidden abilities in general could be cool, so many mons would become more viable, Static Zapdos, Multiscale Dragonite, Moxie Salamence and Heracross, Sand Rush Sandslash, Magic Guard Alakazam, Sheer Force Nidos and Feraligatr, so many interesting interactions

What if Knock Off and Rapid Spin were compatible on the same set in ADV? Since you mention Knock Off being very useful via Hariyama and Spikes being key in ADV, I'm curious to know if Pokemon like Armaldo would see a much higher usage in ADV, and other Pokemon in the same camp.

I think this would be an interesting idea: What if every hail buff (aurora veil, Slush Rush, etc) was in Gen 4/5? Its kind of a shame that hail only got buffed AFTER the generations where weather mattered the most.

I thought about: What would happen if Garganacl was in gen 3? Not only is it IMMUNE to Toxic, WoW and Sand but Salt Cure forces so many switches. Sleeping non Sleep Talk Suicune, Skarmory, Metagross, Swampert, Jirachi or even stuff that doesnt like getting damaged. Duggy would be an answer but other than that this thing would be really annoying -Recover -Protect -Salt Cure -Toxic/Earthquake/Filler These would be better if you held mini tournaments in your discord server so you get games with these changes and can get more accurate results.

I've had thoughts about Mew in DPP. I know nothing about DPP OU, but I've heard it be compared to BW UU in power level. If Mew is legal in BW UU, why not DPP OU? Please explain for us new players :)

It mostly has to do with speed. 100 speed is just pretty good in bw, but absolutely insane in dpp. Plus with its stats and movepool it would basically be impossible to counter offensively or defensively thanks to dpp not having nearly as much power creep

@@sopsop7722 I'm still not so sure on that one, it's outrun by Latias, Gengar and Starmie, weak to Pursuit and gets worn down by sand and hazards. It also gets outrun by scarfers like Metagross, Ttar and the Rotoms. Plus, Jirachi is in the tier and is arguably more difficult to handle than Mew thanks to sand immunity and no pursuit weakness among other defensive benefits thanks to part steel typing
