Your video just gave me an idea for a new type of Pokemon game. It would be an MMOROPG game in 3D, where aside from leveling and expanding your party, you can also do quests for NPC which besides money and items help you level this game's special feature: Alignment. Here you won't leave immediately for route 1, while you can go outside the town to capture/level up Pokemons, you would have to stick around the starting town to do a number of quests/chores/optional actions to earn money (because wild pokemon don't carry money with them and I don't know if the anime ever tackled the question how do a bunch of kids pay for things in the towns without income) thus making it more realistic and while doing said actions/chores/quests you will have options how to handle the task (learning some moves gives further options) like delivering packages to NPC's or saving a Meowth from a tree. Depending on how you handle the tasks (and on your interactions) your alignment level up and shifts. Once you finished some mandatory quests you can move to the next region (route 1 then further) your alignment will further develop from your actions, giving options more in line with your track record until you get a special quest where your character gets to choose their Ending/Route. The main Alignments and the corresponding Routes: Doing Evil acts (being rude/handling problems with force/violence) unlocks the Villain Route where your character decides to be a villain, giving you options like stealing, attacking NPCs, but will be at odds with the police and will need a disguise to get your Pokemons healed/go into markets, also you can't gather badges (but later on can attack Gym Leaders). At the peak of the Villain Route you can either join Team Rocket or make your own/join a rival Organization (Guild) to terrorize the world (you can also go for Lawful Villain where you have still some morals or Chaotic Villain where you are the worst of evils). Doing Good acts (being extra polite/doing all side-quests) unlocks the Heroic Route you can gain reputation, to get things like discount in the Market or special quests (saving people, braving special dungeons and more for special rewards while still can gather Badges) and aims to be a hero. At the peak of the Heroic Route can make/join a Hero Group (Guild again) to fight and defeat the Team Rocket (story mode) and can battle against Villains (Guild battles with special rules/mechanics). As an alternative, if you not go for full Heroic Route (Lawful/Chaotic Hero/Anti-Hero) you can join the Police or become a Vigilante/Lone Hero. Balancing your actions (not stealing, but not building up reputation with the NPCs enough to get a Heroic status and it's privileges) you choose the Neutral Route where you mostly follow the general storyline like in most games (winning Gym Battles and participating in various other competitions) while beating Story Mode, after which you can become a Gym Leader and build your own Gym and team up with other Gym Leaders (Players) to fight evil or a training session (Guild Battles), you can also design your own Badge. Depending on your chosen Route some content in Story Mode will change/not happen leading to different events and options). The other main specialty of this game would be that when you choose a Pokemon (to fight or to help in a situation), instead of the normal Turn Based RPG fight, you get to control your Pokemons movements/actions allowing for a more involved Battle experience or creativity to solve a problem (if you have the Move for it). For example: You choose Bulbasaur, whose four moves you can change anytime (except in Battle), said moves are depicted in icons like in Wow, keyed to buttons for activation. You can also train a Pokemon's moves for alternative usage, for example, Bulbasaur's Vein Whip can be used to Whip the Target or Wrap/Pull -> Swing/Grab -> Slam the Target (or to Tickle the Target). While like in the other games in Battle you can only have a specific number of moves which you can't switch until the end of fight, but you can shift the usage of said move with no problem. Keep in mind that usage of a Move is learned INDIVIDUALLY by EVERY Pokemon in your party. I think this would allow for Players to get creative with the moves making it less of a game of chance, but a game of skill and tactic. Keep in mind if your opponent is a Villain, they may try to attack the Trainer (your Character), on the other hand, if you beat a Villain in a fight (PvP Battle) there will be a short animation with the defeated Villain "Blasting off again" for added effect (you also can give a one liner for extra burn), something that only happens when a Villain Character is defeated (keep in mind that on the other hand the Villain may will rob you if you lose). this waу with a good / evil path is Badshezda well embodied in Fallout. hmm, mmo needs a lot of players to be able to fight in real time... like on cs go servers or - open world - minecraft there, or gta. I think it's easier to make a mod for an existing game than to convince the Pokemon developers to pull off such a "fucking hard" mission, otherwise it will turn out to be the same Pokemon Go, just walk with the buttons and not with your legs. Although they were created by fans of Pokémon R or pokemonwack .. or Pokémon Uranium ... iwouldplay
