thats still not all of spains former colonies, portuguese brazil was never that large, 30% of it belonged to the spanish, the entire carribean mainland islands, entire of lousiania and central north america, a few cities in eastern north america, california, texas, southern provinces of alaska. And also idk if you could consider these colonies, but im gonna say it anyways, youre forgetting half of italy (literally draw a line in the centre of italy and anything south of it belonged to spain), sardinia, milan, the low countries, france-comte (eastern province of france,) and it also held a union under portugal under felipe II was the only last heir to the portuguese throne, so yeah, portugal and its empire belonged to spain, that includes its port cities all over africa, and india and arabia and persia, and also majority of ceylon. more port cities in asia and papua new guinea and indonesia. Acre was a part of Bolivia, so, technically it did belonged to Spain during Colonial times. Before the independence of the South America Spain. Brazil bought Acre off from Bolivia (not from Spain), after thousands of brazilians' workers went living there at the behalf of Bolivia, but than the Bolivian goverment started to opress them and treat those brazilians as slaves, so they revolted and drove the bolivian forces out. So, in order to keep peace, Brazil paid for that state to the bolivians, and paid a lot more than it was worthed. On the other hand thou, pretty much 75% of all the lands of what is Brazil today belonged to Spain, as per the Tordesilhas agreement. It's simply that our portuguese ancestors and than later on, our brazilians ancestors, took all that land from Spain. And we took all that without wars, it simply were nobody lands that the spaniards werent occupying, mostly because they were overestended in the globe already. Only in a few times we fought with Argentina, Uruguay, we fought once with Paraguay, but that was pretty much it. Even in the acquisition of Acre, it wasnt the brazilian state fighting Bolivia, but rather brazilian citizens living there that took that by their own without involvement from Brazil.
