NOTE FROM TED: We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at a TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines. This talk represents the speaker's own personal views and experiences with animal communication which are not supported by legitimate scientific evidence. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t...
We think the coolest way to communicate is via a smartphone, but what if there's a way to communicate that not only requires no batteries, but can cross the species barrier?
Pea Horsley

Pea is the UK's most highly regarded animal communicator. She is an internationally renowned workshop facilitator and the author of Heart to Heart and The Animal Communicator's Guide Through Life, Loss and Love, published in 6 languages. Ted flagged this huh....well I grew up on science and skepticism, served me well for a while, but these days I feel like I’m not going to wait around for them to catch up. It’s so obvious to me this lady and many others do actually talk with animals, duh. And it’s awesome! Let’s put it to good use.

For a long time I thought this could only be possible in my dreams. I'm a very pragmatic person, so I had to try it, to see for myself. What amazed me the most, when I attended one of Peas workshops, was how everyone in the room was able to correctly receive information from the animals we worked with. The way Pea teaches this is great. It is a skill to train and not just a talent for a reduced elite of people. I'm doing my best to practice every day and get better at it.

A short while ago I would have LIKED to have believed this is true, but having read Pea's books and then attending two of her amazing workshops it IS totally possible. Pea has helped me realise that and its so amazing. I have already learnt so much and feel humbled by the fact that they are so forgiving and intelligent. Thank you Pea, very well said, as always. I would never have believed a while back that I would be listening to Pea give this talk, shortly after I had suspended disbelief sufficiently to read both her books in quick succession. Now I'm a convert. Many of us are so closed-minded we actually think we are being clever by not listening to anything outside our rigid frame of reference and belief. Animals are intelligent beings, just as many humans are, and probably many of them "talk" a lot more sense than we often do. I loved your talk Pea, and your books, and can't wait to attend a workshop with you. Yes, Ted is an educational and highly interesting platform, and long may it continue to be the platform for intelligent, evolved ways of thinking. Thank you!

I really want to learn more about this. I've always liked to imagine my cats had little thoughts in their heads, maybe even that they might want to talk to me. I'd rather like to know how to communicate with a particular cat, in the care of my father in law. My boyfriend and I moved out to get an apartment, 60 miles away. I wonder all the time if he holds it against us, because he was so affectionate before we left, and when we came back he lost some of that affection. You've got me very interested in learning more about this.

Very helpful experiment: Close your eyes and picture a golden chain, then picture any pet you know and love and ask them this simple question, “What is your favorite thing to do?” If it doesn’t work the first time just be patient because this actually worked for me even over a large distance.

I thought I was nuts because to a limited degree communication with images has been happening for years with my older cat of 17 years, and occasionally with my younger cat of 6 years. I never heard of this until about a week ago, literally. I just stumbled on a related video about another communicator. I didn't even have a name for what happens between me and my cats. I will get this "image" that isn't really even a picture, it's just like an impression and bang! there we are with them looking straight in my eyes with clarity of comprehension. I seriously thought I was anthromophorsizing or something like that. I can finally gain some understanding of this communication we have now, I guess.

I don't like the Tex X disclaimer, that this is not officially within their guidelines. Screw that, this is as valuable as anything on the Ted talks. They said it 'isn't supported by scientific evidence? Are all the things on Ted talks supported by SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE? I should say not. Many of the talks are from personal experience, nothing else & this type of experience is VALUABLE. Whoever is running Ted just doesn't believe in animal communication it seems.

I believe in AC and have read many books. I am confused, however, how they know, in our language, distances in miles or for that matter our language at all. It doesn't seem to matter what the animal's native language is, they always (in addition to pictures) seem to communicate in the AC's native language as well. How can this be?

So not only animals can communicate on psychic level but they also can measure distance and put it into miles, the measure accepted by the States. I wonder what that dog would say if it were lost in Europe - psychic, I am some 1.60934 meters away from home?
@michael-bell
@michael-bell 8 ай бұрын
Yes, though I do accept the work that's been done on telepathy in scientific circles and the work of Anna Breytenbach, I am deeply skeptical of a claim that an animal would know any type of distance measurement. Considering the fact that the animal was found a mile away, I would not be able to assume that this lady was simply lying about that detail. Instead, I think the only possibility is that the woman misinterpreted the data she received as if the animal itself was telling her that detail. What would have been happening, to my mind, is that she received that information the way remote viewers receive information, but she attributed the detail to the animal

🎭 Pea states that they are a trained actor and it comes across in the way they elate people, and sell a good feeling. 🏭 It's a shame so many people don't see pet animals and the industry behind them as abhorrent. From the separation of an animal to live out it's life alone with humans, that lets be honest, they hate and despise deep down, to the factory farmed animals and their excretions that pets would never eat in the wild (think tiny cat eating cow, or even HUGE tuna, or rabbits with chicken egg in meal ingredients) and are slaughtered for food. 📺 For those questioning telepathy, this is worth investigating as the evidence that it exists across human and non-human animals is compelling.

I enter everything with an open mind. But not only is she vague, but she gives no evidence for what she says she can do, and telepathy is a totally legless concept regardless. I'm sure that she can be a kind and helpful woman; but this clearly isn't true, at least to the extent that she's willing to claim it. I know when my hamster is tired, hungry or about to groom itself, but that is through clear body language. If it escaped and began to roam the house, I would rationally look and listen for it, as it is (as far as contemporary science knows) impossible to "see through its eyes" in my head.

I'm sure we can pick up on our pets basic moods, IE: when it's meal time, when they need to go outside or for a walk etc. But for them 'talking to us in our language' and telling us where they are physically- "Bus Stop!"- "One mile" - describing the interior of her dwelling including hallway configurations and colors? Get a grip folks! If she has been doing this for 10 years, then where is her scientific, experimental proof? All you have is her word that she has accomplished these 'communications' and that is absolutely not good enough! Science has shown animals can communicate, but only in very simple ways, none even remotely approaching her over-the-top claims here!

The most amazing thing about this post is just how many people are supporting this lunacy. This lady was shown a PHOTOGRAPH of a lost dog and from that was able to talk to the dog over a long distance and instructed the dog to bark when hearing its owners voice. People , game of thrones was not real. Basic question; if this was real and her abilities real then why isn't she being paid BILLIONS of Dollars by the US Government. Seriously let's have her have one of her conversations with a dove and tell that dove that it needs to fly to Putins office and land on the window sill and listen to Putins battle strategy. Or she mentioned roaches, ants , birds. . Why even train police dogs just have a bunch of these animal communicators on pay roll and when there's a hostage situation just have this lady tell a bunch of pit bulls to run and grab the bad guys by the throat or have a hostage send a photo of an ant next to her and she can tell the ant to tell her how many weapons the bad guys have. Or Better yet let's start photographing whales and we can give the photos to this lady and she can tell all the whales to stay away from the Japanese whaling ships. Or the best idea so far , since it's such a pressing and hot issue right now, let's have this lady start telling all the coyotes or at least the pack leaders that they are not allowed to eat cats and small dogs anymore, that they need to stick to rabbits and rubbish. This lady's husband will never get away with cheating because I'm sure she instructs a flea to jump onto his jacket when he goes out at night and the flea tells this lady exactly what he's up to. Can't get over that she actually said that she communicated with the lost dog and instructed the dog to bark when it heard its owners voice. The only way that could be done is if she spoke dog or the dog spoke English. I seriously have NEVER left a comment on a KZbin video but I just had to express my opinion on this one. This is as real as people you can hire to speak to your dead relatives, as real as the preacher who taps a person in a wheelschairs head and says " your healed" then they jump up and start walking. I'm happy for this lady because it definitely seems as though she now has her purpose in life and she has become very special in obviously many peoples minds but just like the Flat Earthers, once they stand firm and gain a following there's no turning back. I just pray that this lady is not charging people who are in despair over a lost pet or whatever and giving false hope. Actually , I officially Challenge this lady. I will put up $10,000 of my own money . Yes Ten Thousand Dollars cash if she allows me to hide my Dog wherever I chose to hide him. I will then give her a photo of my Dog and if she can tell me by speaking to my dog through a photo I will happily give her the $10,000 that she can donate to a worthy animal cause or she can keep the $10,000 and spend it on a good psychiatrist. My name is my KZbin channel I can easily be found if she chooses to accept this challenge, which should be easy money for her. She should be able to look at the photo of my dog and the dog can simply tell her " I'm on a dingy, floating 100 yards from the shore across from the statue of liberty. Last thought , why do her abilities work with every animal on Earth except the animal that should be the easiest to have this ability with ? A Human..
