They have not met in person, but if a lord destroys your family and rampages your homeland, and is utterly destroying your life, you will know their banner, colors, and probably will not say "Who are you? and Oh I've heard of you". The situations are often too extreme. Anyhow, just adding a bit of variation or just starting off with "I know your banner and I have heard of you".

Next thing you need to do is marry in the most powerful empire and go at war against the Northern empire as they are the most weakest and near you territory. Also execute Ratagost and Olek, only recruit Siga as she has fought alot of battles against you and still managed to escape/live.

If you can offer a barter, it will be accepted. This is especially useful to know when recruiting nobles to join your faction - if you press the auto-offer thing it will offer them *loads* of gold, though usually you can get away with offering 30-200 k. There are some tier-5 clans that can be tricky to get though, I didn't afford the Khuzait tier 5 clan, he wanted more than 250 k...

4:07 It happens to me too, when Sturgeon nearly wipes out, then after that the Northern Empire going to declare war. I also execute Galden from Sturgia, and he still appears in the map. Even the encyclopedia shows his death, also in his photo when doing barter with him. So I stop playing, and need to start over.

I would have tried to get those last sturgian nobles as vassals in your kingdom mate, the other kingdoms will be able to make armies of over 1k easily and the only way you can match it is with more allied parties.

Screw these NPC's. I tried to play nice, I tried to be a dependable vassal. I gave all my fiefs back when I left to form my own kingdom. I worked on relations to make sure there were no hard feelings. Even married the Empress' daughter. Yet like clockwork, every kingdom began declaring war on me one after the other, after the other. Assaulting me with armies in the thousands. Screw them all. I honestly don't know what the deal is. Is the game supposed to auto-declare war on you with every faction like this? I was actually looking forward to being able to run my own kingdom at my own pace. settle in and not have to worry about some ruler declaring war on a faction while I'm sitting in their back yard with my pants down. Then Bang SoAndSo has declared war on you. ... what? I don't even? Dude you don't even have any land. Your just a broke clan running around with no holdings and no armies wtf are you declaring war on me for? ... WhatsHisName has declared war on you. ... Huh? I'm no where near you what the ... JimBoBob has declared war on you. .. Why!?!?! WTF? On it goes as every faction declares war after a short period of time I don't get it. So yeah ... I don't mind if a few heads roll any more, screw them all.

If you have the ability to, considering tyals lack of food, why don't you just keep sieging till you destroy the enemy siege weapons? Then just pop up ballistae really fast before they can rebuild any onager. I understand influence can be a factor sometimes, but I don't think that's the case here. Was sieging different back then? I only started in late December so I am a noob in a reality. No one bothered to mention the console release happened lol...

Since you've let Siga live so many times, marry her or recruit her. If she denies, wipe sturgia completely off the map by killing her, olek and ratagost. Also if Siga agrees, recruit both olek and ratagost to your Army. Let Ratagost own a castle and give a castle to some if your followers. Agna bloody deserves that much

Legend has it that Ratagost escape and became one of the descendants of the Nord empire. EDIT: Change my mind. Could be Danny finish him off and become descendants of the Nord since they came from Sturgian and Nords always attack everyone in Warband :P

Siege tactics : I feel like a battering ram is useless and not tactical. Once you are over the walls, let the stupid enemy have units stand idle behind the gate. Have you own troops remain at range once over the walls or fight enemy in the staircases. - Untested. I only played M&D:Warband.

If you have time built the siege engines catapults, scorpions and trebuchet. They will destroy the defenders Siege Engines while you are on the campaign map and then you may have a chance to breach the wall before the start of the battle with enough time. If not, you will always be behind the defenders built up as you lose time establishing the siege camp. Also if you want your a.i to behave without getting stuck again you should press f6 and command the sergeant A.I to take over again. So take control put them where you want them to be and then back to sergeant.

My vote : the left-over 3 Sturgians have no faction now, so if they join you, cool: you do need to build your kingdom as another faction will certainly attack you soon. If they refuse, they make a suicidal decision. I would let them decide.

live and let die - make peace with them and let 'em go. if they're not up for peace, let 'em die. get a Battanian wife to secure your southern border and then take on Vlandia if possible, controling the north-west will give you a strong strategic position.

Ive destroyed the Battanians and all Empire factions in my save so far haha. Me and the Khuzaits are at war with Vlandia and we have about half the map each.
