So most people want target dummy's for raid bosses in SOD?

You know it's funny. As an aggressively casual guild that doesn't really recruit anyone that prioritizes parsing we never have any pushback when we ask someone to do a boring job. It's very liberating.

The best part about Classic is being able to bend the boss backwards and fuck it in the ass ignoring all the mechanics. Almost every mechanic is either "DPS through it" or "heal through it" and I like it just the way it is.

Real stuff and some good points, I never got a good parse pass Gnomer boss because I was forced to do bombs as a feral every time. So I would always get asked why my last boss parse was bad when joining a pug even though the rest of the bosses were orange. Usually I would not care if the parse meta was such a big thing though :(

Yeah really sucks how people get hosed on stuff like that. Or grubbis off tanks getting 0s lmao

Agreed class mechanics do feel like a rhythm game and they should tailor flights according to it

I totally agree

That is why Molten Core has a special place in my hearth. There are technically mechanics. But you get to pump them numbers and ignore the mechanics if you just drink a fap/gfpp or have tremors down and you get to zug zug all over the damage meter ❤
@MadsThorlundАй бұрын
Exactly this, mentioned it on stream as well.. everyone want to be able to outpump the mechanics, let usssss

I agree. I prefer phase 3 over both the other phases!

I mean, that's pretty much how our group does it, except everyone focuses adds. Our RL calls it "cleaning house". So everyone does chores and everyone gets to play. I didn't know there was a "better" way. 😂

I don’t think it’d be that hard for someone to watch this video and think your point is, “Every fight should be a Patchwerk-esque target dummy.”

I don't think the players dislike challenging encounters, I actually think the bosses/mechanics being "easy" makes the game 10x harder and cumbersome to play, because just killing the boss is not a goal, because it's "easy" so artificial challenges emerge like Parsing & Speedruns which are way more demanding because they demand Perfect performance and Tons of Prep (way more than the raid itself) for no organic rewards, yet it is all the community cares about. Also, optimal "not fun" clear strategies, like the ones you mentioned, are shunned because killing the boss is "easy" and it works against Parsing/Speedrunning. Elden Ring Sold 23 Million+ copies, RPG players have no problem wiping for hours on a demanding encounter, but the proper context, design, immersion, and rewards need to be present, or else you feel a sense of Nihilism as you spend 10+ hours of farm for a 30 min raid to parse, only to not be put in the WF group for Loot that isn't necessary. Could be the limitation of tab targetting combat, who knows.

You just explained why I think raid buffs are bad for raiding. It's a hard mode mechanism that only pays off when a raid is on farm.

Blizzard should disable advanced combat log. How many times did I do mechanics while Chad sits on the boss chasing 99s.
