Note to Hazie, Marchand doesn't need to sell the slash Domi laid just above his glove. It was a thing of beauty and he should keep doing it, the Michael Telven specialty eventually breaks a bone

Marchand not Matthews was the super star. Matthews only generates between 33% to 50% assists compared to the current top NHL assist leaders. That is a significant weakness of the Leafs first line Centre & it gets exposed in the playoffs.

It is a comical irony that the Leaf fans that love their team so much are also the reason that they lost. If only the fans had been more engaged the team may have produced a better outcome. Big time credit is due to Bruce Bowen for finally stating loudly and clearly what has previously only been whispered - it is the fans that are holding this team back, not the players, not the management team, not ownership, but the fans. The Leafs are not disappointing, the fans are.

Bertuzzi knows the rat game. He felt Marchys stick at his feet and flipped forward, I’ll admit it looked good but it was definitely a dive. And there are legit excuses being made saying Samsonov didn’t make the save bc he was watching Marchand vs Bertuzzi at center ice. First of all, no he wasn’t, and second of all, if you are in an NHL playoff game and playing goalie and you are not paying attention and watching a minor scrum at center ice you’re doing it wrong lol
