This is good video. I have counted on the right thing happening all of my life (I'm 37 now and still know that I will): meet the love of my life, be married, have and raise children, build a legacy. However, the narrative amongst most men is: hurt or be hurt, kill or be killed, cheat just in case she's cheating.

When I have to hear cousins and friends basically talk crazy sometimes (i.e. fighting the deity of Christianity because of racial wrongs they've suffered, hurting their parents feelings by laughing and scorning at the thought of getting married and making them grandparents, seeing all women as out to drain you and move on, thinking that women are DTF and don't want a relationship, etc.).

Yes! Told me he loves me but would never marry me. Told me I shouldn’t have gotten attached and that he’s sleeping with someone else we both know. Also told me I should find another man who wants what I want…I began to move on with dignity…no contact and I start talking to someone else. He finds out and now I’m a lyin b who probably was cheating the whole time, I’m a betrayer and hurt him. He was in a rage to the point I was in fear he would pop up and do harm to me. I’m not sure what he expected after telling me everything that clearly stated he didn’t want me! These men need heavy prayer and aggressive mental health treatment 💯

@@MercLife100they are sick in the head…my ex put me in a dangerous situation but before that he had a live in girlfriend then broke up with her to be with me all the while he was lying to me to make it look like she was crazy about him. I assumed he caught a battery charge for hitting her and asked to stay with me until his court date. One day I was rear ended in my car and it was a young BW. He was in the passenger seat and he jumped out and started screaming at her calling her a fat Blk ho fat this and that. I asked him to stop but he kept yelling and cursing at her like he was a mad man. As they both were screaming in each other’s face she looked at me and asked my why was I sleeping with a man like him and I didn’t say a word because she was right. I was afraid she was going to get a gun and shoot us both because you should never approach someone in hostility during an accident. My ex was so crazy that he continued screaming at her while standing in front of her car that she drove her car into him and knocked him on the hood of her car and sped off

Bottom line is that this break down between us is a threat to us as people; if we can't break this chain of mistrust and disdain for each other, black male and black female, our culture as we know it will become extinct. We have to be come truthful with ourselves and think about how our individual actions affect us as a whole, especially our children. We have to do better as individuals.

Agreed! I think one other reason men tend to be let's preparer for pain is because women do not give men the hard time that men give women. Men simply have not had to do with the pain of Injustice has the way women have weather social injustice or unjustice is impersonal relationships. They don't even have a lot of practice with having to deal with that stuff. In addition the male gender is not oppressed and demonized the same as females, so they are spoiled on that also. I know women give birth and have monthly cycles but I think that's more of a physical tolerance for discomfort. I think that men and women are actually created with different frailties and I believe that a man's heart is more fragile than a woman's.

Pendant is very nice! I was thinking the other day about my own relationship and wondering if relationships are generally really this hard. Like what’s the statistic? Are most people going through it? It almost seems like two people speaking a different language. A woman expresses her perspective and when he responds it’s like he heard something different. Reminds me of the phone game where you pass along the sentence and see if the person at the end gets it right. I get told that’s just how you feel it’s not reality. If we are both seeing reality differently then how can we come to an understanding?

It can go both ways, my husband hurt me and I left him, but my son’s wife just left for another man, having my son feel that she needed two men, all the while leaving a now 14 year old son who was 11 at the time. So sad, it takes time for both sexes to heal. It’s a ‘mourning process’ if you want, and everyone heals from loss and pain differently. They are. That's why they do what they do. Say what they say. It's driven by emotions. If you weren't emotional, you wouldn't talk about it in "anger". People always react to people based upon what they think and do to people. Example...If you gossip a lot, you don't share much about yourself to others out of fear of being talked about. The main one gossiping all the time. So, if you cheat, lie, manipulate, etc, you assume the other will do the same one day. Or, the person that's nice and given... treats people like they want to be treated. But, learn that you have to have wisdom with showing your kindness. Everyone is not like you. You don't devalue your good attributes for people. Just be wise how you deal with them.
