I have struggled with polyps for 15 years. I'm 57 and had a family member pass away from colon cancer. I have been learning from Dr. Berg's videos and started Keto/IF. Now I know what to eat to prevent those little buggers from returning. Strange thing, you would think the gastro doctor would inform the patient about ones diet for prevention, oh, I forgot they just want more patients to keep returning so than can fill their pockets.

@@Heartandsoilhomestead2 I try to incorporate fermented foods like sauerkraut. I also eat 7-8 cups of green leafy and many other high fiber vegetables. I fast once a week which might be the biggest factor.

I think it goes deeper than that. I think doctors only know what they are taught in med school and because the pharmaceutical companies help run the med schools, they aren't going to learn how to cure health issues with natural medicine such as food and herbs, but rather put a bandaid on the symptom with pharmaceutical drugs because drugs rarely cure the issue and you always have to keep coming back for more drugs.

@@juliachu3775 Fermented foods are raw, uncooked foods. Fermented foods are not pasteurized (heated) because heating kills enzymes. Sometimes people will say pickled. A lot of pickled foods are heat processed for shelf stability. Fermented foods are in the refrigerator section.

I’m from Poland and we eat lots of sauerkraut here especially during the winter season. I’m talking good- home made, raw sauerkraut and also pickles. That being said my mother developed colon cancer and my opinion is that number one factor in these type of disease is stress. Not only we stress too much but we don’t know how to actively destress. It’s very important to practice some sort of relaxation be it meditation or yoga or whatever.

My husband went with your suggestion about eating pickled vegetables weekly. He chose to add sweet and spicy and brand is Dave's pickles. He went yesterday to do a colonoscopy, great news he had one tiny polyp. His Doctor told him to keep doing what he is doing because it's working. My husband usually has 4 to 6 polyps when he goes for his colonoscopy. I want to thank you doctor for all your advice you put on here. My husband got colon cancer once before. But from what they’re saying, they are very prone to turning cancerous. They are also very eager to get me back in there! I am a retired, RN, hospice nurse. I have seen way too much fear, mongering, cut, burn, and poison! So I’m curious as to what your thoughts are on these flat polyps that are, by the way benign! I plan on parasite cleanse for now! The thing to realize is that many things that Americans may see as "pickled vegetables" actually do not have those bacteria. You can pickle with time and leaving your veggies submerged in brine and those bacteria will grow when pickling. But things that are just put in vinegar/spices and then heated up to sterilization to can do not. So a jar of pickles on the pickle aisle or a can of sauerkraut will not work. You need to buy the deli style or fresh version or make yourself.

@@user-ee1sq7ly6y My argument is treating the body is more of an art than a science and while the medics work hand in hand with the nasty greedy pharmaceuticals it’s unlikely medical doctors will change. They also tend to treat the symptoms rather than the cause. The body has its own pharmacy too but, the drug companies don’t want you to know this and want to own the immune system, and if we let them then we will need their drugs to prop us up forever. Therefore, look after the immune system and in general it will look after you. I do take your points though!

I love your videos and I am well aware of what Polyp's are as I had my first one removed on the 15th of Oct. 2021 but that's just the beginning of the story. I apparently was a rare case according to my Doctor because what happened was when he cut out the Polyp he also cut into a blood vein underneath the Polyp but did not realize he had. I need to shorten this story by saying that within 24 hours I was literally bleeding to death internally. I had 12 medical personal in my ICU room force pumping almost 5 units of blood into me. The same Doctor came in and repaired the damage but it was the Nursing staff that kept me alive. I know it was a mistake and we have no plans to sue the Hospital or the Doctor as of now. I can only say that a Colonoscopy is very routine and safe but what happened to me can happen to anyone.

@@mettamorph4523 Are you sure it is due to Sauerkraut. May be you are not susceptible, I mean even without eating sauerkraut you may not have polyps. None of my parents ever had polyps but I had one at 55, unbelievable. I am trying to control it through naturopathic means. Even if you have polyps not necessary you get cancer, but when they become large and bleed, get anemic and bowel movements are irregular leading to constipation and digestion issues. So it is important to fix them early. I heard they are connected to inflammation in digestive tract, that is something very important to address..

This video has a major piece of incorrect information - PICKLED foods do NOT have probiotics in them. Only Fermented foods contain probiotics. Pickling is where the food is put in vinegar for an extended period of time, and this does NOT give it lactobacillus or any other probiotic I find it concerning that people are taking medical advice from someone who got this really important detail wrong.

Being I'm Ukranian sauerkraut has always been a staple in my diet. I literally eat it every other day or as a side dish to whatever meal i'm eating. Usually like to make it with some butter and sauteed onions and cinnamon sugar, not a lot, but just enough to balance with the tartness. Also eating cabbage with a side of mash potatoes alone is a tasty meal. Cabbage is a very versatile thing that can be prepared many ways.

I’m coming from the Mediterranean and I’m glad I grow up with all these food being prepared as standard routine there. My grandfather made the best sauerkraut and vegetables which we call there (turshija). Is easy to make it. You need a Home Depot bucket with a lid, 8-9 small size cabbages, approximately 300g of corse salt, 22 500ml bottles of Poland spring water, and heavy stone to cover everything… maybe I should made a video of this completely natural process of making sauerkraut 😊😊

It took me 6 months to take Dr Berg’s turmeric, vitamin C complex, greens superfood, liver cleanse detox repair support and gallbladder formula. I just had a MRI test done on Apr 29, 2024, the main reason of the test was to monitor 3 cysts on my pancreas, the results came back show that only 1 of the 3 cysts on the imagining taken, 2 gallbladder polyps are gone. I do low carb and 18/6 intermittent fasting, and eat some organic sauerkraut from Costco every day. Hope this helps.

Just found out I've got polyps in my gastrointestinal region - not the colon. There is also some mild gastritis present- so I need to avoid acidic food. What are my options? Sort the gastritis first? Anyway, I've been fasting 19:5 every day for two years and it's helping immensely. I say starve the little blighters, with intermittent fasting.

Under a doctor's care, my mother got rid of her cancerous polyps surgically and then went on a strict, no fat diet for several months. She was prescribed essential fatty oils to be eaten with meals and applied by dropper. She lost a pile of weight, began an exercise program and watches her fat ratios and intake. She eats only complex carbs. Her colon has been polyp free for years now. And she has always made or purchased raw sauerkraut. However, I remember most of it being canned by her, as a child.

I was a victim of overdose of antibiotics which resulted in intestinal inflammation and leaks. and now I recovering by drinking milk kefir and eating fermented foods.

By pickled I think the Doctor means lacto-fermented pickled and not vinegar based high temp pickling. Unless you’re doing your own fermenting (like I started to do as a hobby), any of these things like Kraut, dill pickles, and Kimchi that are in the store fridge case and which only list salt and no vinegar are likely fermented and have lacto bacillus.

I don't believe eating pickled vegetables or sauerkraut would do anyone any good unless they are raw, and I do think Dr Berg should explain how this would work if they have been cooked and sitting on a shelf for months, as most of them have, and then brought home and cooked some more. More clarity is what we really need when discussing such important matters. Fortunately I am able to buy raw, organic, gluten free, still fermenting sauerkraut under refrigeration from an HEB supermarket. All the sauerkraut that I could find on Amazon was pasteurized; Many brands, including Germany's most popular were all cooked. Someone needs to point out that there is a major difference between fermented and still fermenting, and I believe I've done that here.
