I have two atomic watches, but realize such accuracy is never needed for 99 percent of us. I still favor my hand wound mechanical watch even though it’s off a few seconds per day. Something very cool about tiny gears and springs working in unison.

It‘s not only the accuracy. You never have to set time or date ever. It‘s simple an other class of watch compared to mechanical.

That is incorrect in regards to the signal, when you press the button to “check signal” it shows you if it was updated the previous night, it is not a signal check!

Can you disable the automatic signal updates and just set/use it like a normal watch?

Yes. You can also send out a timing signal from an app on your phone to set the watch to the accuracy of your phone's network time, which will be within a second of the atomic time. Therefore, still near atomically accurate and RX functional anywhere your phone can get a signal.

What if we use the watch in the places that totally no radio signal? Is the watch still function?

The watch will work normally, it just won't correct the time automatically so if your watch is off by a few seconds, minutes or whatever you'll have to manually adjust it.

Def will work. There are also apps you can use which will broadcast the radio. This watch is also good for 1-3 sec/day variance so it is very accurate.

Good watch ... TBH I like the fact that my watches are NOT 100% correct... This means they are flawed like humans. I have a VAST collection of watches and they all lose/gain a small amount of time... But the amount they lose or gain is so insignificant it is hardly worth worrying about. For example my Casio G-Shock DW5600BB with the 3229 module losses around 1 Second per Week. So every month It will lose 4 Seconds. It is so easy to put correct However, my least accurate watch is my Seiko SNK809-K2 ..It is a 21 Jewel automatic mechanical watch and gains 10 Seconds a day... I must admit this is VERY poor. It looks pretty but the accuracy of this watch is shocking. Thank you for this video.

I have a Casio in Gainesville and it works just fine. You should have no problem.

Lol you don't know what you're talking about. It can't check if there's a signal that fast. All it does when you press that is tell you if it succeeded or failed the last time it tried, like to tell if it's currently synced or not.
