Hello from Brazil. Your video is amazing. I'm so happy!! You wrote the "word" mee-mee-mee. It sounds like a slang that we used a lot here: mimimi When we say that someone is "making mimimi" we want to express that this person (who is complaining about something) is whining or exaggerating and should not be so sensitive or so touchy. That's so used in Brazil.. LOL We usually say "stop the mimimi" Your class is amazing! Keep up the good work.

Concerning syllable stress, it would be easier if, like in Spanish, you indicate the word stress with an accent graphic over the word They call it 'tilde' or graphic accent. In this way, you are 100% sure where to stress the word (For example, the word Canción). Yo see the symbol over the letter O, it means the stress is in the second syllable.)

Hi Scientific Accent. I alway confuse when i gotta read a new word(2,3 or more syllables)which i have not ever met. I knew long sound(open syllable), short sound(close syllable). *I know some rules divide word into syllable,but somtimes i make it wrong. I dont know i gotta try to divide syllable first or read it first.(example : RESIDENT Res-i-dent / Re-si-dent *schwa sound. When can i use schwa sound. How can i know and use it in the words. Can you explain and give me more information about sound, spelling word...because i need to sound out well, and understand what native speaker talk to me Thank for your attention

ازاي بردو احدد الstress يعني الكلمه لما يكون فيها كذا متحرك لو اتكلمنا مثلا عن الاسماء انا عارفه ان الstress بيتحط علي اول مقطع طب اذا كان الكلمه فيها اثنين متحرك والمتحرك الاول كان short vowel هل دا ملهوش علاقه وبردو احط ال stress عليه ..يعني الشده هي اللي بتتحكم فالحرف المتحرك تخليه قصير او طويل ولا العكس؟؟؟؟؟

Hi, I like your video so much and it has cleared all of my concept. But there is a bit confusion The word Unrealistic Un-rea-lis-tic You said that this word has vowel sound in each part so it is a syllable but if there is a word whose any of the part or each part do not have any vowel sound so is it a syllable??? And one another question is that as you said I the video that the definition of syllable is *a unit of sound having one vowel sound is called syllable* So in this sorry, I can’t understand the meaning of *one vowel sound* Like one vowel sound in the whole word or in each separate part For example: one vowel sound in expensive or separately in ex, in pen, and in the sive Kindly try to understand my question and clear this concept as early as possible. Thank you so much for such a great lesson
@Scientificaccent
@Scientificaccent 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Hafsa, thanks for your comment, a syllable means "part of the word having one vowel sound" so one vowel sound in every part, if there is no vowel sound, it can't be a syllable, and pay attention, it should be a vowel sound not a vowel letter, I hope that helped you clear the confusion.
