I know a lot of people want yanderes for some reason but allow me to explain what would happen. They would kill anyone you get too close to they will kidnap you and torture you and maybe sexually assault you. If you find that "attractive", "Cute" or romantic, Then I feel you should see a therapist

There is a difference between fantasy and reality. Most people don't actually want a yandere; they just want to fantasize about something exciting. It's no different than someone watching Breaking Bad who doesn't actually want to become a drug dealer. And not all yanderes would kidnap, torture and commit SA. Some are just controlling/manipulative. Which is still super unhealthy in real life, but again, in fantasy it's just something people think about for excitement.

Can Yanderes not stalk/not murder/not be violent? I saw somewhere that a definition of Yandere is just someone who obsesses over their crush- in the video it's also acknowledged that the one thing all Yanderes have in common is obsession (ie, they may not engage in any dangerous/destructive behaviours)...so which is it?

It is possible for them not to murder or be violent, but if they are a yandere, I find it unlikely they wouldn't stalk the object of their infatuation. Dictionary.com says a yandere "...is often sweet, caring, and innocent before switching into someone who displays an extreme, often violent or psychotic, level of devotion to a love interest." "Often violent" implies the possibility for a non-violent yandere, but I imagine they would still display very toxic behavior. As for someone who just obsesses over their crush harmlessly, there are much better words for that behavior, including the one I mentioned in the video "deredere" which means lovestruck. Once you add "yanderu", the other part of "yandere", which means "to be sick" that's when you start getting into the implication that the person is displaying harmful traits due to their obsession. I hope that clarifies things!

Thought you might like this (two entries) for a read. I got tons of ideas though whatever... The weather...not apologizing for it...I'm Old Testament Demiurge apparently. Anyways just wanted to share this for old time's sake. === Pre-Vatican Gnosis and Modern Gnosis (Thelema, Luciferianism, Satanism, New Age, and other hogwash) have many things in common. I watched part of a video where some IMBECILE by the name of Eric B. was sporting the same regurgitated ropes of sand that the smart alecs of yesteryear claimed concerning the God of the Old Testament and some even going so far as to imply that there is no Two-God system (God vs Satan dynamic) and that both may be evil by their childish standards. The video by Eric B. for example; had for the PREMISE that the DEMIURGE (God) created Man yet was unable to give unto him the "breath of life" thus prompting Sophia (the Mother of God) to aid her "ignorant" in his endeavor to animate humanity and other living things. However, Sophia had a TRUMP-TARD CARD up her sleeve and made humanity much more powerful than the Demiurge and the Archons (Archangels) and the Demiurge was angry "ARGH!!!" ever since. I find Eric B's take quite hilarious when it seems that he has forgotten that one of the common core beliefs is that the Demiurge has entrapped the Spirit/Souls of Humanity which originate in the "Pleroma" (their version of Heaven) and that the Evil God desires to entrap them in the Realms and Planet that are tied to them. The reason I find his take comical is that it seems that Gnostics and Agnostics tend to find workarounds to potential problems outside the bounds of common consensus should the Ropes of Sand fall through their hands and fingers when they try to pick them up for a demonstration outside of a few asinine diagrams they usually concoct. In other words, it is not the Demiurge that is at fault and instead, it is the Sophia figure (who is purportedly the daughter of a Divine Male figure that apparently has the same name...Sophia in Justin Martyr and Iraneus' AGAINST HERESIES.) Thus it is not the Demiurge who is at fault and instead, it is Sophia's fault for the sad and disgusting human souls/spirits stuck in the Demiurge's prison planet and realms. As Yeshua would say; "A kingdom divided..." As I would say; "A sleeping village..." The internet and Social Media are proliferating with many New Age Religion smart alecs who have their own spin on the Gnostic jive as it seems they enjoy finding ways to outdo each other in their endeavor to create concise formulae that would keep the naive at bay from trying to pick up the Ropes of Sand they've constructed. The Eric B fella also seems to be charged with a deep hatred towards God Almighty, or as he sees it, the Demiurge. With good enough discernment the intent can easily be picked up by the fool's narrative delivery that he must convince himself that his "beliefs" are true by repeating them to himself and others over and over again in the same fashion that he accuses the Demiurge and other types of religious worship of being of like manner to his accusation and interpretation. I've already written about how the Doctors of the Church, at the end of the Apostolic Generations caved into the demands of the Gnostic Christians and the Idolatrous Pagan Romans to form a Christian Mystery Religion...the Orthodoxy and Catholicism. What is the Mystery? Christendom is replete with Gnostic and Extra-Judean Elements (from other religions both active and extant including Hinduism) and there is no more glaring offender to this truth than in the book of Apocalyptic Revelations. It does not end there as there is enough intangible and tangible evidence that the Old Testament's Abrahamism is comprised of many Extra-Hebreic traditions of the Mesopotamian and Caanan regions (Egypt Religion included.) Much has already been "discovered" by many of the copious amounts of eager beaver Iconoclasts on the internet (and before them so many academic scholars of a religious archaeological tilt.) Though many are missing the keystones to the Mystery and its origin whilst every lemming rushes headlong to the edge of the Abyss of Hallucinations (the abyss term being coined by the vile Aleister Crowley) to be the first Eureka moron that will outdo the work of Joseph Campbell's "Monomyth." While they have their own reinforcing arguments, they tend to focus merely on the most widely accepted names like Elohim or Yhwh and call it a day with "Storm God Syndrome." I'll conclude this with three keystones: 1. The Order of Melchizedek. 2. How it relates to Zoroastrianism. 3. How Prince Jove became Prophet Abram with his wife Prophetess Sarah and what prompted them to leave (purportedly the voice of God.) 4. Finally the possible proof of Proto-Gnosis may be indicated in the following Exile Bible Verse from the Book of Daniel: The Book of Daniel 8:9 "And out of one of them came forth a "little horn", which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land." The broken tusk of Ganeshanuman and given the Legends of why Ganesh broke one of his Tusks to write the Mahabharata there is enough to support or make it arguable that it is the voice of Ganesh that prompted Jove (Job) to leave the Order of Melchizedek to migrate westward and thus adopting the name Abram followed by the addendum of letters to Abraham to what can be anagrammatized in current language to A! Shiva shows up early from one of his trips to speak with the Void Spirits and finds some kid he's never seen guarding the entrance. Parvati rushes out to see what has happened and.......EGADS!!!! It is resolved later and Shiva realizes his mistake. His son Ganesh is practically beyond repair and will most likely die as a God-Child in his WOUNDED HEADED STATE (Apocalyptic Revelations about the wounding of a figure that recovers and the people marvel) and thus Shiva seeks out the help of the Void Morphic Spirits...however, they only manage to make things worse as the child is exploding in raw power and causing cosmic monstrous noises with his screams as he becomes conscious for the first time since he'd been hurt by Shiva. The Almighty (Brahma) is stirred by the commotion in the Realms within the Cosmos and quickly gauges the events that led up to the Mourning of the Archons across all their Ruling Houses in the 7 Heavens. Brahma quickly takes up Ganesh so that he may help him as best he can (Enoch being taken up to where even Archons have not been invited) and is later returned. He is not yet completely healed as Brahma explains to Shiva and Parvati that it will take time for him to heal appropriately. In the interim, Shiva gifts Ganesh a mask of his favorite animal to hide the damage from the other Gods and Goddesses, and that of a Monkey. Even after he recovered, Ganeshanuman rarely removed his masks. He retired his Elephant Mask before heading out to the Ruling House of the Dragon and was given the name of the stranger Sun Wukong due to his tempestuous nature and the inability of the Jade Emperor and the Yellow Emperor (The Dragon King) they eventually found Sun Wukong too impossible to control yet they gave him honors before he returned to Shiva and Parvati where he expressed his desire to wander Westward. It's possible! I don't know know if he loves or even obsesses about eleven enough to qualify as a yandere though, since he pretty much tries to kill her as soon as she says she won't join him. I think if he was really a yandere he wouldn't have given up so easily and I think he would have tried to get her to join him again so he could groom her to be his partner. I don't think he was obsessing about Eleven as much as he was wanting a pet or a pupil. But maybe he could be a yandere for someone else?

I made a ":)" in my hand with scissors until it bleeded bc we had a fight. And im not depressed or have mental illness and i havent done this ever before. I was really proud after doing this and very happy but my bestfriend wasn't at all. I wanted her to be proud of me. I did this last monday, its still on my hand and my friend said im ill. I've heard of platonic yanderes where you love someone but not in a romantic way and still have the same tendencies. I don't know if that's a normal human feeling but it doesn't sound like a healthy one, and I hope you talk to a therapist about your feeling. Although it's nice to have a friendship you care about so much, it's important to not rely on one person for all of your happiness. That's a lot of pressure to put on someone, and it can be harmful to both you and the relationship. I know it seems counterintuitive but maybe the best thing for your friendship is if you make another close friend so you don't spend all of your time with one person and put pressure on them to fulfill all of your social needs. I would recommend you talk to a psychiatrist or at least a school counselor because even if you are not sad, it seems your friend was bothered by what you did and you should talk to someone about your feelings and your friend's feelings about what happened.
