I was a slave and Leo freed me. I almost cried at the end of this episode. I cannot put into words how much Leo has changed my life and even after 4 years of following him and doing contemplation, self-inquiry, falling off track 100 times. Just looking at my level, 99.99% of people have lower consciousness than me and I still have thousands of miles to improve. Holy shit, I don't wanna worship Leo but this makes me depressed knowing if I didn't find him, I would be a fucking robot, pursuing low consciouness unfulfilling stuff. So again, all my appreciation goes to you Leo, you made me like this, you made me god again. You are me afterall but somehow I still wanted to express my feelings eventhough nothing fucking matters

What Leo is describing is exactly what you begin to realize when you're about to lose your ego... Full dissolving into the isness of everything, all that is illusion or imagination melts away. You will question your memories, your relationships, your self identity.. panic insues as you can no longer hold on to these concepts, Reality itself comes on stronger and stronger until it's so intense it washes you away completely. You are now enlightened

Since I started Consciousness work these are the actual benefits I got: 1) I am more open and I have more faith in life. The mind lost a lot of power in trying to control life and I am able to let go much more. I trust my real nature, not mind. 2) My desire and almost obsessive search for the Truth fade down. I was watching hundreds of videos, reading tens of books. My ego needed it to understand what enlightenment was about. Now it got quieter. I still enjoy reading books and watching videos but I do in a totally different attitude and state of mind. 3) I was engaging in many many activities to keep myself busy, not to have the feeling of losing my time and not doing something meaningful in this life. Once I discovered and investigate deeper my true nature I am more focus, I know better my direction of what I truly wanna do as a human manifestation and with who I wanna spend time with. 4) Once I discovered that ultimately I am not even a human being, that people do not really exist as separate entities I let myself go with other. I stopped worrying about the potential consequences in saying something, I am less afraid of arguing with others, to exchange my poin t of view. Anyway ultimately it is all relative. 5) I suffered of OCD and I cured it asking myself who I was constantly. After having an insight, from one day to another I was not engaging anymore in all these repetitive and exhausting activities that the mind obliged me to do. 6) My desire to feel fulfilled by buying stuffs and accumulating material objects went down to the basic. 7) My dependency to others and the feeling to be accepted by society disappeared. As a consequence I have less friends but I truly enjoy spending time with this small circle of people. 8) I was someone following others, never had a lot of confidence in myself. Now I now so much more about reality, God, existence, life, the mind that I feel more confident in discriminating what other people says and I mostly do what resonate to me. This deeper connection with the Truth will guide me through life much better than any other human being. 9) A have a PhD in biology and the reason I probably moved to science was because I had a terrible experience with religion, they make me hate God, be afraid of Him. So science wss for me the place to get some answers about reality. Consciousness work made me understand that God is something else that what I have been taught and that science itself is deluding itself. I am now doing something completely different, more close to what resonate with me. 10)The materialistic and mechanisistic model I was believing removed the joy of life. Now I feel so lucky to be here to experience all this in proprably the highest manifestation, human being. I am now fascinating by life and how it works so well.

But will this benefit your path or just leave you dissatisfied with your sober hand and searching for another experience in the future with a substance? I think sneaky addictions to future satisfaction and 'enlightenment' through drugs can quite easily be formed here, let me know what you think.
@cicciogrecia
@cicciogrecia 6 жыл бұрын
When you say to someone "do this exercise for 1,000 (or 10,000) hours and you will experience something amazing" how many people will take the quest? It doesn't sound so appealing. When you get a glimpse through psychedelics, your slow-pace path to higher consciousness will have a specific goal and it's more probable to take the path. In other words, one does not have to rely on faith. As for the addiction, as Alan Watts said, when you get the message, hang up the phone. What is your experience on psychedelics?
@129hazza
@129hazza 6 жыл бұрын
I do agree that psychedelic experiences can help 'quick start' some people's spiritual paths, as it did mine. However, in my experience, it has made me want to seek more experiences with psychedelics which I think may hinder my path, I have a feeling that I might be seeking for fulfillment in a future experience, a typical trait of the mind. I currently believe that the quickest way to becoming totally fulfilled with the 'Now' (enlightenment) is by being in the now, not in a potential future enlightenment experience, however I am open to discussion as it is quite a confusing idea, as 'short-cut' enlightenment experiences sound very appealing. I agree with the Alan Watts statement a lot more these days than I used to, but when do you know that you've got the message? I think that's a hard concept for some people's minds to decide.

For those people who try hard to be happy. Try this: Go take a really cold shower and try to accept the present moment from the very first drop that touches your skin. The distinction between Actuality and imagination is more Imagination.
@fineasfrog
@fineasfrog 3 жыл бұрын
True enough but is it the whole truth? Good question. It is easy to over look the small letter 'i' used to spell the first use of the word imagination and the use of the capital letter "I" in the second use of the word Imagination. Can we experience the difference between the two? Yes to some extent, but when we start to put 'it' (the apparent comparison of experience/s) into words that will be based on memory and this cuts us off from the direct experience to some extent (maybe there are four levels of this) until we "become one with everything" that is referred to in Zen and other ways of realization of oneness. On the other hand: "Knowledge is evidently some kind of link or bridge between sameness and difference. In a perfectly homogeneous (sameness with no difference whatsoever) situation there would be nothing to know; while confronted by complete heterogeneity (difference with no sameness whatsoever), knowledge would be impossible. Nevertheless, the mediating role of knowledge cannot readily be expressed in a formula (of words or symbols or numbers)......Nearly all our conversation is about knowledge - about what we know or suppose we know. One of our handicaps is that we tend not to notice that which we do not already know, and hence our knowledge lacks the means for recognizing and correcting its own defects." (Systemic error or systemic defects) John G Bennett Leo is helping to point us to the source of all we think we know. And he is giving us a way to practice it.....a way of working/playing with it. The old joke is: "What's the difference between theory and practice? In theory there is no difference."

Hey Leo, Back in 2015 I remember vividly sitting in class when I felt a weird, and very distinguishable pressure in my head. I didn't think much of it, but as the months, and years progressed the so thought "pressure" I thought turned out to be a 3cm Cavernoma (larger presently). Keep in mind this Cavernoma is in the right hippocampus (Yes I was the guy who made that comment under one of your vids reggarding my Cav). Long story short is well it gave me first hand experience into non-duality, and enlightenment like experiences. I do not attest to being enlightened or partially enlightened. All Im saying is that your videos were lining up so perfectly to what I was experiencing at the time (and presently) when I didn't know what the fuck was going on with me so I just wanted to thank you because no one else will get me. I wanted to give you my perspective on how I came into non-duality. When I do drugs or alcohol, these "enlightnment" experiences would be insentified, but hurts my Cavernoma so I refrain from substance use. One more note is that I have always been a more right brained, intuitive person my whole life till the Cavernoma. I feel like I'm much more left brained analytical when it comes to my behavior, and how I present myself (obviously). Like you said- there are multiple ways into non-duality so I knew I wasn't flat out crazy. haha. Thank you Joe

To be able to unconditionally love is to be able to have/live different experiences and accept them for what they are. This gives us a broader perspective and wisdom without the limitations of only experiencing and accepting what we chose to love, which can be very limiting. Love is an experience and to be able to accept who you are in the present moment, in actuality, is living this experience of love that brings happiness and well-being to oneself and to others.

Leo, I think you will find this quite amazing. I am a professional artist, its how I make my living. I invented this experiment that I do with average non artist people to show them how much they are stuck in lala conceptual land. First I get them a piece of paper and a pencil, then I stand about 10ft from them with my arm extended straight out pointing towards their face with my hand open. I make sure my hand is level with my face, but just to the side of it so they can still see my face. (I don't tell them the idea or purpose of the experiment until their drawing is finished) Then I ask them to draw me, and what they draw is quite revealing. In actuality my hand is larger than my face due to perspective, but they will always draw my hand smaller than my face, because they believe a hand is smaller than a face. They draw it as if the hand was next to my face on the same perspective, because the subconscious mind draws what it thinks is there and not what is actually there. What is actually there is a hand thats larger than a face. Their feelings, beliefs and ideas of the size of their hand relative to their face subconsciously override actuality. In their minds they know that a hand is smaller than a face and so that is what they draw rather than just being conscious of what is in fact right in front of them. Furthermore, whats even weirder is they draw the hand much lower than level with my face, almost by my side where they think and believe a hand is suppose to go. This might be a good enlightenment or consciousness test to see if someone is really conscious or enlightened, or to what degree. I noticed that the more unconscious and stuck in conceptual land a person is, the more they fail this test. The test works best if they haven't had any art or drawing classes. Because when they go to art class, they are taught the concept of perspective and relationships and so this conceptual belief overrides the more natural ones.

For years I've been saying there is a big difference to me between knowing and understanding, then I always said that when people critized something about me like "correcting people all the time wont do you any good"" "drinking like that is really bad for you, if you dont stop it is going to kill you"; "being so lazy/ procastinating like that wont get you any where in life". - "I know, I really know, I just dont understand to the point that I can stop doing it". Now for what I learn here that is as true as it ever was. I have a feeling for it, for a very intense Ego death experience brought me very near to it for a few weeks before it faded, but not without straining my sanity to a needlepoint of breaking (but it was just beautiful, everything just worked out perfectly fine, because everything felt so as everything is just right everywhere and always. It felt like I found my path anf every decision I make and everything I do is just perfect by default, as it couldnt be an different and I still KNOW that but I dont UNDERSTAND it anymore like that. But I am determined to put in the work to go there without using the shortcut from then for the whole way.

In my spiritual, philosophic and metaphisical path, I realized and feel inside a couple of years ago, that what society and culture call reality, is in fact an illusion, just a screen in my mind projecting sounds, images, memories, concepts, symbols, et cetera. Thats why meditation is good for seeing colective illusion.

I want to point out one little trap that I got through myself. This video itself is a concept!! I watched my hand very thoroughly for enough time, but it was filled with bunch of concepts and ideas that "this should be actuality". Yet it isn't in as much as you think. This work goes way way trickier than you might think really. But this vid is still nice to make distinction between concept and direct experience. Don't take Leo's ideas word for word, it's not about the hand that much, but rather go and try to investigate what is direct experience and what is a concept for yourself equipped with some of knowledge that Leo already gave to you. P.S. I am not fluent in English, so I write messy sometimes

Question is, if I’m watching this video doesn’t that mean I’m watching myself? If so why would I be so bent on figuring out the truth that I imagine a way to do so? I feel something isn’t right but I just don’t know what it is. Even with that said, why would truth still feel it’s way through the layers of lies if I am everything, and all powerful enough to hide it?

This is what I have been thinking for a long time, it hit me when you said the tought of us being born is a concept, of course that means we actually exist without need to justify our existence, It is mind blown but we actually exist and yet we are here trying to be somebody.

Love it. Lately I've been digging into the concepts that revolve around numinous experience as opposed to a thing-in-itself. Crazy how much reality begins to break down when examined finely enough and with sufficient patience.

i just finished the rought to write a trip report on mushrooms, which already had a lot of abstraction. It took almost an hour just to do this sort of recalling and brainstorming and man, to even think doing an hour long video about this topics, damn puts you into perspective of how much work and labor this man has done, maybe thats why he encourages so much in doing the work. Doing the work is really life saving.

Finally got around to listening to the entire video. Nice creative way to describe reality Leo, enjoyed it. Glad you’re liking your meditation technique. Hey guys, to anyone who is just starting out with personal development, Leo’s videos recently are really advanced. If I could go back and coach myself I would say to start at square one. Check out Leo’s oldest content, get your psychology in check. Definitely BUY his life purpose course, at the very least it will be a deep self exploration for you, the course will help you ardress the areas of your life that are holding you back.

Wow Big L. Just realized how I am the rock which I struggled with as I thought of that as not alive so how can I be a rock. Anything I visualize as separate from me is me. I am projecting the difference therefore what I am projecting is me - or as I like to refer to as SELF. I only see the difference because Ego creates the difference. Without Ego there is no difference. Difference works because of the creation of Ego. How amazing-

Hey Leo hope you can help. But holy shit! When I looked at my hand with a lot of alertness and awareness it looked super alien to me! Like "wtf is this?! It's so strange looking!!" And when you said that my mind uses fear to swade me from truth and what's actual or whatever, I suddenly saw through all the mind's tricks as a big sham. Then real actual fear hit me, and it was shocking because everything I thought I knew was collapsing. So I questioned this fear, "why are you afraid?" "Because I feel like I'm dying!!" With seriousness, no joke that's what it felt like. I've meditated for 1000's of hours so far in my life but that was all done up till now within a CONTEXT of me being a person, living in a country, who's meditating etc. This video de-contextualised all that for me very suddenly. So what does this all mean? How can I handle fears of ego death or existential fears? Thank you!

Had too pause at 50:19 ... too answer this. I used too class my self as an over over think. Thoughts and concepts and ideas racing around and tangling up together like spaghetti... i feel more serene and calm in the present tense. So even though ive learned alot of "concepts" this is my most tangible and actual result. Namaste

I'll finish this video when I have time... But, I have to say that I really appreciate it, mainly because you're giving a clear function and purpose to meditation. Clarity of context. Love it. It gives me more initiative to start a meditation practice now, because you've outlined the true purpose and intention. All of existence "IS" and our imaginations become monsters consuming what is not, and to become in tune with what "IS" is to be alive and real. Daydreaming, conceptualizing, overthinking... These exist in their own space but they aren't reality. The true reality is not found in thoughts. It is found in substance.

The purpose of this is to personally find for yourself how beliefs, concepts and ideas place themselves in the structure of your mind and being aware of that pure sensation as it is, unassumingly, not think about whether they’re true or not, because that’s just another idea. Just become aware of the presence of ideas in the purest way, without any sort of theorizing or interference. If an idea makes you think of more ideas, then be aware of that sensation.

What about the quantum physics concepts you mentioned last time. Such as when looking at someone the person you are looking is you since there’s no subject-object , just the subject. Perception(experience)-ego= being. When looking at someone you are only seeing from your eyes, therefore it may not look what you are actually seeing as per your quantum mechanics videos. Please clarify. Thanks

Leo I have to admit That when I used to see your videos I didn't like it But after doing more research and seeing more videos of your channel I came to a realization that your videos are accurate because I did hardcore self examination Similar like Rene Descartes did And I literally made some discoverys of reality So profound that it change the way I view the world And the crazy thing about it is that it's discoverable it does not required beliefs what so ever It can be proven by self examination and being honest with one's self about it Most people only believe in mind That our senses is all that is But they only believe in it And never examing there own life experience to prove it And I proved it And I also proved exactly what you are explaining in this video That mind and actuality must be separate in order to see actuality Because many times the mind gets in the way to not let us see Things for what they are And it's because most people think that they can mix mind meaning concepts and ideas with actuality And they can not be mix together Another cool thing that I have discovered by first hand experience is that we in actuality do not live in a third dimension It's a illusion of human dishonesty It only appears that way because the illusion is so strong that most people can't see that it's a illusion If you remove the veil of mind then you start seeing actual reality for what it IS Your a genius brother thank you 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
