@flayre on insta Well it's complicated, but I think for the most part i know what I am atm. It's one of those things where the thoughts of it will keep coming back and confusing you more, but even then you're not obligated to label yourself at all. For now I'm pretty chill where I'm at. What about you? Would love to hear what you have to say. Though don't feel pressured to reply, I got a bit curious that's it, hope you have a nice day (◍•ᴗ•◍) .

So for a long time, once I found the ace spectrum I thought I fell somewhat between grey and demi, but recently I found out there's way more than just the ones I listed (before you made this video). That ended up confusing me more and again went on a tangent what I am anymore. For me personally, who grew up exposed to the sexual media while still young (my curiosity got the better of me), I still feel like I fall somewhere in the middle (even after quite exposure to said material). I wouldn't say i dispise the idea of more adult oriented media, but I also don't feel like interacting with said thing or experience frequently, y'know? I know I'm still young to think of such things but hey we're still human one way or another, right? There's plenty of time to figure it out, and even when we don't have the right answer, it's alright! Also, all the flags are so pretty I can't 🥺🥺 !!!

Acespike... Definitely new to me, but really interesting! Now that I'm quite sure to be in the asexual spectrum, I think I'll continue to question my sexuality to understand it even better :) Your videos are really helpful and made me even more proud to see myself in this spectrum! :) 💖

That was thorough and concise, I think your video makes this topic infinitely more accessible to people who may not fully understand it, I hope it helps a lot of people who are still questioning.

Thank you so much for this video, it's really nice to see more awareness for the spectrum as a whole! I think a topic that might work well for a video is sexual arousal vs sexual attraction since that can be a bit confusing to navigate for asexuals (myself included). I can't wait to see what videos you make in the future!

I learned something new about myself. I've only experienced actual sexual attraction to one person, though I did crush on a couple of others without a physical component and the actual sexual attraction came only after a deep emotional bond. I think I must be demi because when those floodgates opened it was like literally nothing I'd ever felt before. I was literally dating her for two weeks before I realized we were dating and full physical attraction wasn't for a couple of weeks after that. We're married now and have been nearly 30 years by the way.

Trying to figure out where I'm at right now. Roughly a year ago I experienced sexual attraction for a person, and that attraction had lasted a few years. Add on that was the first time I had ever felt that way and I'm turning 30 this year. I'm pretty lost, but the attraction only was for this one person, so maybe demi?

I don't know how to ask this question but: What about "imaginery people"? Can you be attracted to someone you completely make up? Because I feel a deep revulsion against being with someone I'm not in a relationship with. A deep relationship. But I can get off of my own imagination (I'm into kink but have nevef found a partner so my imagination is all I've got). Obviously that person is part of my imagination so I "know them" intimately... I'm really confused. Your description of demisexuality really speaks to me but I don't know if it completely fits. But... just the thought of a "one night stand" really weirds me out. Like "ugh no!" territory. At the same time I've been in love and felt attraction but never really without there being feelings on my part involved. I never thought about this before. Can you just be somewhere in between and have tendencies towards something? I don't know... I'm confused and don't want to offend anybody with my questions.
@elizabethallen71933 жыл бұрын
I don't think you're offending anybody by asking questions. While I'm not an expert on asexuality, I can try to offer what I think. The thing you said about being able to get off by an imagined person makes me remember the terms "aegosexual", which was previously known as "autochorissexual". People who identify as thus can get off to imagined scenarios. There's a lot more options under why you might identify as aegosexual, so I definitely recommend checking out the LGBTA Wiki's article on aegosexuals, and also the article on Asexuals Wikia for autochorissexual. I've been trying to figure out if there is a more definitive way to define my own asexuality, and I've been considering this term personally. Obviously this term may not define you, but I hope this helped. ^-^ Good luck on your own journey in identifying who you are! Articles mentioned: lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Aegosexual asexuals.fandom.com/wiki/Autochorissexual

well... I've been watching this sort of videos lately and I'm sure now that I'm in this spectrum - I really thought that I had some psychological problem just because I'm a hugger but I don't like touching, I can feel some heterosexual attraction but I feel like a no-no about having sex and yet I can think about having a romantic relationship just to not be alone in the future, but still I'm perfectly okay being all by myself and my friends (even though I once thought it was a little selfish ya know...not having kids and so on)... I guess I'll keep on living now...

I'm an omniromantic asexual and I'm confused on the flag for it, there's so many varients of these flags I don't know what to use. I'm also confused on the label, can I just be labeled as "Omniromantic" or is that different than "Omniromantic Asexual"?
@raleo74662 жыл бұрын
Okay lithosexuality may explain my situation tbh. I do feel horniness but in a hypothetical setting, when it's time to do the deed my body feels forced. I also have truly felt in love once and with a very close friend but with my trust issues I don't know if it's because of psychologic trauma or demihomorromanticism

Would it be considered on the Asexual spectrum if you have had only hetrosexual relationships previously, but then realised you do not enjoy the sexual part, but love the romantic parts, cuddling etc.. and the companionship? (Basically, a Hetrosexual with no libido)
