One thing to correct! When a spirit is destroyed or when you take damage - the cores go directly back to your reserve instead of the trash!

Hey red, really happy to see you covering battle spirits! You've been the n1 channel I go to whenever i get curious about FaB products (assassin is a sick class btw) I just have a bunch small corrections @10:34 You *do* draw on turn one, the only step that is skipped is the core step and attack step. Also @11:56 The cores from a defeated spirit go to the Reserve! It's very common to get these mixed up so I don't blame you one bit. hope I was helpful!

Battle spirits is such a good game and I cannot wait to see the western release come out. Fun fact, this game was made by Mike Elliott who, if that sounds familiar, was the designer of magic the gathering and 30 of it's sets. Also not sure we'll see it in opening sets though possibly... There are actually 2 more types of card, you could think of them as spirits but you have braves, which can be combined onto spirit cards, and you have ultimates, which are quite good powerhouses but are unable to benefit or suffer from any effects that don't explicitly target the ultimate type and have pre conditions to be able to play them other than just having enough cores.

nice video! tho some things i wanted to clarify: 1. you dont do core step only if you go first, if you go 2nd, you go to the core step 2. when a spirit is destroyed, unless effects specify it, cores go to the reserve, not the trash
@RedZoneRogue2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I mention that you do not get an additional core turn 1 at 10:30 That's good to know about the spirits though! Small misunderstanding learning the rules and actually makes losing spirits slightly better since you can then use those cores for other effects in the same turn! 👍
@akuda2262 жыл бұрын
@@RedZoneRogue i see! the way you worded it (to me at least) is that both players turn 1 you dont get a core, but i think i was just very confused.

You say you can play 1 burst per turn, but how does that work? Can you play 1 per turn and it keeps stacking up, or does it go back to your hand at the end of the turn? Or can you only ever have 1 burst spell on field?

Question: can you only evolve once per turn?

im actually really interested in this! i prefer tcgs where the players resources are actually gameplay mechanics and not deck based (digimon for example) and this seems to scratch that itch...

This may be a weird question, but I cant find an answer in the rules. Are you allowed to put core on a spirit without increasing its level? Like say I have dread knight nemesis summoned at Lv1, next turn can I put one more core on it, so its one short of going to LV2, but would be easier to bump on a future turn

card pool (ofc), mulligan rule and number of cards and copies of a card in a deck, for OG BS its 40+ cards and 3 copies max, while BSS is 50+ cards and 4 copies max

I didn't realize they were tailoring it towards the Western audience. One of the things I've seen western TCG designers do to a fault is create a huge power-creep gap between sets. It's not like Japanese TCG design does not do this, but it's much more subtle with Japanese-designed TCGs, and they usually do a pretty good job of bringing back older cards. The main culprits I have in mind are MTG and DBS, where the game design seem to unabashedly make cards from even two sets earlier nearly all obsolete. TCGs like Cardfight Vanguard and Digimon did make progressively stronger cards, but a lot of times they released later products that supported older cards to make them relevant again. Catering to a western audience does indeed concern me. I have high hopes for this game and am optimistic about its future, but this video has now made me concerned about the longevity of this game.
