Thank you for covering a topic most professionals and people find taboo. As someone who suffers from BPD, we often get shoved to the side because we're "treatment resistant." In reality, we need someone to be by us and walk alongside us through life's up and downs. Thank you for bringing awareness to this!

I was diagnosed with CPTSD and BPD in my forties. The best therapy for me has been moving to the country, no neighbors, just my husband and our dogs, growing a garden and painting. I just lost a relationship to this disorder. I feel so bad for her. She can be such a beautiful person, but when borderlines have an "episode" and get into that black and white thinking, all hell breaks lose. I was viewed as bad, and treated accordingly. I admit I made mistakes. I didn't know alot about this disorder and I fed into it. I have regrets, and a whole lot of coulda, woulda, shouldas. I pray one day our paths cross again. I really hope she gets the help she needs.

At least you briefly thought about addressing your own unprocessed trauma and accountability. It's interesting that on an energetic level it's not possible to hookup with someone who isn't vibrating on the same frequency as you. You fit together like puzzle pieces cuz you share the frequency, otherwise you would repel like polarized magnets. So when you talk about your ex just remember that you had to be in the same energetic frequency, the same emotional and mental space, to be together in the first place. Just saying.

I was introduced to a short story that explained that situation pretty well. You're walking across a footbridge, and someone coming the other way hands you a rope, then jumps off. If you let go, they'll die. If you don't, you'll go with them eventually. Remember that you didn't ask for that responsibility. It was thrust on you. They made that decision their self, and that's not your problem. You can let go. You don't have to let them blame you. You can't be responsible for everyone else.

Recently found out my ex boyfriend had this too, he hasn’t been diagnosed to my knowledge but I found out through just doing mental health research (I do it as a hobby) that he most likely 100% had BPD and it made me reevaluate our relationship problems It’s almost been 8 months now I think since we talked, cuz he completely cut me off, but I really hope he gets help though, despite what he did because he was a great person to be around, funny and kind, even though I was heavily antagonized by him in the year we were together, he still sort of was amazing to be around when not like that

He is so compassionate and knowledgeable. This was very nice to watch. He mentioned the example about reasons someone would blow up & making the chains..& coming to the conclusion of them not being a horrible person… If it’s a personality issue, how would someone differentiate between the disorder and your actual true personality? Some symptoms with bpd are irritable/aggression.. how can you know of a person is just plain mean or if it’s the disorder? Either way, thank you for the information 🙏

Just started the video. Hoping you guys aren't as biased as doctors, over the clients gender. Being male with BPD gets me very odd looks when I say it as my disorder. And my personal "favorite", "don't only girls/women get BPD?" No, very clearly men get it as well (points at self) Anyone suffering with BPD, just remember. You can manage this! It's a nightmare learning to do it, I am still trying my best to learn how to cope. Looking back on how far I've come in the last 5 years, all the things I didn't think i would survive, I have because of my CBT skills and the DBT I have learnt. What I'm getting at is you are not alone/crazy/overly emotional or any other negative self perception! You can manage this illness and you can be the best version of you regardless of how awful the moment feels!! ❤️

Thanks for spotlighting this topic! As someone with BPD, unpacking the stigma behind my illness is so much help among the community and within ourselves to feel supported, seen, and heard. We are still people. We may have difficulties in emotional regulation, but conversations ease the situation for everyone involved. For others with BPD, please hang in there and find mental health professionals and a support system passionate and committed to your care because we will survive and can get through this. Thanks so much for telling me more things I did not understand about my anger and how BPD is affecting me because i really couldn't find anyone to help me. I have all of these things with my life and I have a loving husband but, he doesn't understand. My parents were never abusive though the forced me to go to church 3 times a week. But, I do not consider that abuse they were and are still good parents. I lost my 2 sons though one at 19 and one at 22 and it ripped me apart. I have been sexually abused and almost raped a few times in my child hood I think I blocked out alot due to the sheer fear I don't know. But if my parents are good parents then why am I this way?? Is it all the abuse and rape that happened to me in my early 20's ?Also was a drug addict addicted to meth for 9 years and now 6 clean. I am 30 now .

The treatment for B.P.D. sounds allot like what we INFJs naturally doing our daily lives. We naturally love to self reflect, but we also do this to see many different outcomes of the future, as many perspectives and possibilities as we can think up. But, it does help if we maybe do something we aren't proud of as well so we avoid the same outcome from happening ever again. I think someone took that right out of the INFJ handbook, haha. Anyway, as long as it works, then I am glad for it.

Because I am 14 and as alot of people say its normal to have some of the traits of BPD as a teenager, but all of the symtoms especially of quiet BPD I relate to on a deeper level. I dont have bipolar disorder but sometimes I have times where I can go into a "episode" as people have been calling it lol but its not the same as what a normal rebelious teenager would do. I'm diagnosed with depression and anxiety but thats all ive been tested for. Im not self diagnosing in any way. But I truly feel like i have this. And this is coming from me who usually underestimates\under values my emotions and things like that.. *Today's message is about a song by Alan Jackson titled - Angels and Alcohol.* Funny title, right.* Personally, I think Alan must have been high on whiskey when he wrote that song. Lmao. So the first verse of the song goes like this... "You can't mix angels and alcohol I don't think God meant for them to get along When it takes control, you can't love no one at all You can't mix angels and alcohol" Each time I hear that song, I just keep thinking about the line: *"I don't think God meant for them to get along"* Just like Angels and Alcohol (according to Alan)...there are things that just won't go along in this life no matter what. An example that comes to mind is "making money" and "making excuses" I always say you can't make money and make excuses. You have to pick one and be okay with it. So, which one are you choosing today? Angels or Alcohol? Making money or making excuses? Just one. And be okay with whatever comes out of that choice. *Have a great day!* ❤️

I wish you luck my friend! Having a diagnosis sounds scary, and it is, but it gives you something to "fight" and treat. Diagnosis is the first step towards relief. Try to keep a positive attitude, and you will succeed!

Strange things, these are. I served for 15 years, being dumped like trash after I got injured (and several PTSDs) with no compensation or any reward. It's terrible to thing that the only real and independent decision I made in my life, to serve, was the one I ruined my life with. I've never been diagnosed with anything, nobody ever gave shit - well including me, I just blamed myself to be an idiot... After all I wonder which 3 or 4 letter mark matches me and my misery

Sorry, the vocal fry plus the uplift at the end of each sentence making everything into a question made this impossible for me to finish 😢

I stumbled upon this awesome website while I was browsing through the Google search results. It's got all the modules for free, which is so cool! I've already completed a few modules and now I'm itching to dive straight into distress tolerance and chain analysis. I can't thank the psych2go team enough for putting together this incredible segment.

Honestly, I feel more inclined to stay away from you than someone with BPD. What a closeminded personality you are.

With the right environment and support people with BPD can better their symptoms and live a pretty fulfilling life , you don't need to stigmatize and be so negative about it.
