This is true l once live northern part of iloilo the ocean was not good as years before.people are always complaning of their catch BUT the biggest ocean destroyer is illegal fishing we call it ZlPPER/Danish seine not trawling even rock,corals etc. connot stand hard for this kind of fishing.

modern bottom trawls do not harm the habitats of the fish because they do not drag the trawls upon those habitats they drag them next to when the fish are looking for food and the trawls whirl up sediment from the sea bed wich starts the prime production

No. Baby fish can't pass through because the net are already full of fishes and other marine animals. They blocked all the holes. Fishermen can still fish using other safe and effective fishing devices
