Riding a Hometown Hero this year. Have a Canada trip planned for next year and couldn’t be more excited.

The Hometown will be the perfect Canada shredstick!

Currently riding the Hometown Hero in Canada. Mixed conditions from back country powder stashed to steep groomers and moguls. Didn’t think I would love a board as much as my Capita Super Nova but this Burton is something else - it’s epic and I’ll be riding it for years to come, hopefully in Japan next year

This was super informative. Thank you! Picked up the Family Tree Show Stopper at the end of last season (March 2022) 148 in length. It has so far been my favorite board and is not being offered this season.

Yeah that was a fun one and it was actually based off the board our shop made with Burton called the Big Gulp

My 159 Big Gulp . Best board ever for my style of riding and my home spot Le Massif de Charlevoix .

Was the Barracuda ever part of the family tree line? I didn't think it was but the channel plugs that my Barracuda came with have the family tree logo in it.
@SearchofSnowboarding Жыл бұрын
I think it may have been. During that era I don't think they put the Family Tree logo on the graphics of all the boards, I could be mistaken though

I just bought the family tree 2020 leader board it's July right now and I'm looking forward to snowfall. I bought two boards this summer. The burton camber custom 2020 and the leader 2020 like I mentioned. It's July 2022 now but I went back a couple years cuz not only was it a good price but I soooo like the graphics better. The 2022 leader graphics r blah and I don't care that much for the boring and odd 2022 custom graphics either. Alot of people seem to like them and that's cool. But I love darker simpler and they seem more esthetically pleasing the 2020s. I'm 43 yrs old and bright neon colors rnt my thing. The older years seem a more mature yeah mature is the exact word to describe the older model graphics. But I'm super nervous and stoked to see how the leader board works. I bought the 166. I love bigger boards or im.just used to them. As an teenager in 91 I had a Sims 161.5. I was 12 and short but the board was on sale and I was from a poor family. So I bought it. And I learned on this huge board. The 90s were crazy years in boarding and I have stories. My first snowboard movie was riders on the storm from 92. It's on KZbin now and a all time classic of snowboarding and music. White zombie before they totally blew up and many other bands. We wore funky clown hats and board slapped skiers if they tried to enter the pipe. It was a huge huge rivalry on both teams. Skiers hated us. So we returned the favor. Thank goodness that's over. I was a terje and palmer fan and Matt goodwill and farmer and seaonne fan among others. I loved Santa Cruz boards and burton air's. There that's a little history that I hope never gets forgotten. The 90s for boarding was something else. I hope this year is great coming up and the leader and custom I got r legendary. Stay well and ride with ferocity but never forget to be kind and be the community that it's meant to be for the young or older. It's what we started.

Love to hear that all! You'll probably love the leader board, it's no joke. It might remind you of a ripper of a board from back in the day. Thanks for sharing the stoke!

Didn't Burton also continue production for the Hometown Hero foreseeable future?
@SearchofSnowboarding Жыл бұрын
Sometimes Family Tree's run longer than a season or two, as the Hometown has. It's such a killer board I could see it moving into the regular production line though

They should replace the flight attendant with the hometown hero in the main line.
@SearchofSnowboarding3 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea, I think a lot of people have started to like the hometown over the flight attendant
