What I like about digital logic is the fact that you can just imagine of anything you want to implement, and then you can have it down to a circuit. In hardware industry, your circuit may be a part of an IC which includes other circuits

It's VLSI very large system integration and HDL hardware descriptive language as opposed to programming languages HDLs such as verilog describe circuits at different abstraction levels. This code is synthesized into transistor blocks that make up ICs by implementation engineers and it all has to be verified by verification engineers
