nice explanation. I was wondering why it makes a sound although its just the same as combusting. Turns out its the collision of both combustion points that creates the sound.

Early combustion is called "pinging" it makes a slightly more metallic, or more high pitched sound, it can be solved if its not really severe by using high octane fuel (this is what its for, not performance) knocking is caused by worn bearings, like the drive shaft bearing becoming oval shaped and so the drive shaft hits either side of that slight oval shape worn into the bearing, creating a knocking sound, ot pretty much means the engine needs to be rebuilt. Knocking sound can also be caused by stuff to do with the rocker arms, if the engine has those anymore

This is plain wrong. What you described is NOT knock, but pre ignition. Knock happens when parts of the air fuel mixture ignite due to the pressure increase outside of the flamefront of the spark, resulting not only in uneven burn, but in a (supersonic) detonation instead of the (subsonic) deflagration the engine was designed for. Pre ignition is ignition (of a deflagration) before the spark plug fires, so there is no supersonic pressure wave.

What is described here is pre-ignition. Hot spots in the combustion chamber light off the charge before the plug fires; the plug fires and the flame fronts collide. An area that is glowing hot is required, such as a carbon deposit, ot a sharp edge in the head casting. This is called pre-ignition and id usually inaudible. Look for the center of the piston to be melted or blown out and it normally affects one cylinder. Detonaton is literally an explosion inside the chamber. The fuel charge is ignited by the spark and the flame front progresses across the chamber. Part of the charge in the far reach of the chamber reaches it's auto-ignition temp and literally detonates instead of jurning smoothly and is very audible. Damage is seen as the edge of the piston melted and destroyed down the side into the ring lands, which are destroyed too. If detonation occurs in one cylinder, look for a lean mixture to that one cylinder. If detonation occurs in multiple cylinders or in all cylinders, look for excessive ignition timing, low-octane fuel, or a lean mixture across all cylinders.
