Summary for the stream as I can put it Trust game : basically ur in a social activity where u choose the decision which only considers u , that is u do not trust the other person and play into ur own gains Risk assessment changes as u grow , the equation is same for ur brain but the threshold changes eg driving Zero sum game : there's one winner one loser at the end Positive sum game : everyone benifits Chess is zero sum but u can say career in chess is positive sum game Game theory is about decision making in social situation i.e ur gain depends on what the other person does Humans inherently trust coz theyre emotional n cooperation takes place Prisoners dilemma: u try to search for the best outcome by considering the others options Short term benefits : make short term goals more cooperative Future material gains Multiple dates lead to assymetrical returns Best moment : game theory in among us 😂 To put it more further I think humans also trust and co-operate between each other due to human constructs like religion n clans I read this in Sapiens where he talks about these human constructs which enabled humans to rule and out manovure other species , humans created the construct of language n countries which helps them to co-operate better n trust

About the crowded place trust thing...Mumbai and Kolkata have considerably high trustworthy people as per experiments done in cities around the world... They dropped 12 wallets with money worth $50 in each one, a family photo and address, phone number details in different locations of Mumbai. 9 out of 12 wallets were returned. Only Helsinki where 11 wallets were returned was ahead of Mumbai. In Kolkata experiment they experimented about kindness for a stranger, where they drop a pen, have a blind person waiting to cross the street and a person who suddenly falls on the floor on a busy street. Kolkata help was pretty high in later 2 cases. It was ahead of UK n US cities. (Source - The little book of Lykk by Mike Viking)

1:13:00 Totally loved it when he compared infinite sum with heaven and hell concepts... I think if we try to understand more in such terms we will be able to cooperate with other times... rather than preserving our identity to fight for our side.. somehow I became more non judgmental after watching you guys and other streams ... Abhitabh Sharma ya but in that it talks about the mathematical aspect of it, right?
@abhitabhsharma914 жыл бұрын
Mathematics is not an aspect.. its a tool to calculate possible outcome from every quantifiable relation between the selected aspects. You just need to put a value on every aspect in your life and then you can use game theory to find out best and worst outcome. You just need to know about yourself what values most for you and what doesn't. That shouldn't be taught. It goes against free will of humans. One should be free to choose what values most for them.

Smiling and calling person by names works great fro building trust. While asking for a favour, saying 'Rajubhai itna kaam kardo' works wa better than just saying 'bhaiya itoa kaam kardo'. Same works while bargaining while shopping.

@@viditchess see, the concept of game theory; mathematically is pretty advanced. We didn't study it at the undergraduate level. The books that we saw on game theory; had topics such as abstract algebra, heavy usage of undergrad analysis and it was difficult for us to understand it properly, and tbh we didn't also.

@@viditchess bhai the way chess computers work is with the help of game theory. Minimax algorithm is a very important aspect in game theory that is used to solve games from tic tac toe to chess. Ek baar dekh lena aap.

Nice layman intro to GT! I work in academia on the theory which finally helps develop algorithms like AlphaZero. Actually there is a nash equilibrium involved in collaborations also which you were confused about at 47:00. You said that there is no worst thing that can happen is just because of the fact that you know who you are going to collaborate. What if someone comes on your stream and abuses your viewers. It would have a terrible risk. Just because of the trust you collaborate👍😀
