As a social science and social psychology researcher with a focus on communication, this is MEGA interesting to me. I LOVE that these conversations are now happening on such a public and pivotal platform. Thank you. I hope you'll bring on more social scientists and cognitive psychology or social psychology folks. This is also a VERY valuable science communication experience for researchers who are not used to communicating their interesting research to a general, non-expert but smart audience.

One funny thing I noticed in this stream...idk if it was only me (Honestly an amazing stream keep up the good work).... was that tanmay Bhai had his own perspective towards intolerance.. which he found really hard to get rid off (discomfort was visible in expression). even tho.. Sid tried his best to bring out the fact the "intolerance is what it is"... Tanmay was like.." no evolution didn't happen"... Sid was finally like ok.. ok.. even tho he was clearly like "maybe u are not completely correct as intolerance may not be baseless"

Anyways complete respect.. I love the content on all channels of his... ❤️🙏🙏

My exact thoughts. He was hell bent on his opinion about not people having enough to identify with and people being 'less evolved' which just reeked of pettiness. I want to like Tanmay but it's so hard to look past the superiority complex that he has. These neuroscience streams seem more about Tanmay seeking validation and confirming his hypotheses/biases from Sid.

what i thoroughly feel is that yes he might have that strong opinion but there must be an experience or an incident that provoked him to have the opinion which he defended well enough

Unless somebody has or makes a perspective like Devansh did in this comment ... everybody would start judging people on there own ( negative or positive )... what i felt was this is what exactly what is the output of this complete episode ... sadly rarely there will be ppl like Devansh who IL appear as a vaccine to help ... Thanks devrath for putting this across or else we would never know there is always another side of coin .. and harsh those were the same thoughts I had too until devansh posted

Great stream - imho the panel was a bit crowded and the experts were being interrupted too often or not able to speak much (Sanat). Perhaps (fewer) people who observe, absorb and contribute in a measured and meaningful manner (eg KV) would be great in such streams.

I have one question please answer if somebody know this. As Dr. Phatak explain that thalamus teach T and B cell that who are foreign invaders to our body in the early stage of life when you're a foetus. Means thalamus teach T and B cells to be tolerant to the other body cells. What if any alien cell enters into the body, at the time when T and B cells become mature enough, which is not detrimental to our system? Would they still kill those cells?
@sanatphatak50904 жыл бұрын
Hi Shubham; you're right in saying that the T and B cells are taught what to 'tolerate' in the developmental stages. If a foreign cell enters after the training is over, even if it is not detrimental (some of these foreign cells might be actually helpful, like in a transplant), it would still be killed. That's mainly why one needs to suppress the immune system after a transplant.
@shubhamrana80184 жыл бұрын
@@sanatphatak5090 Thank you so much sir for the answer. Even though I am not a medical student its just a curiosity. Keep spreading knowledge.♥️

Hey lemme tell u this show was awesome. Now the immune system thing: the immune sytem also counts them as us, ok consider this situation where we take a chronic medicine after a certain time we get adapted to a that medicine, this is basically the body telling "THEY" have now become a part of "US".

If A and B spend a lot of time, and if A's perception changes and becomes like the one B holds, does that mean B's perception becomes like A's? Is there a common ground where both become equal? Also, just as a hypothetical example, assume everyone has an infinite time period on earth, and everyone spends infinite amount of time with all the 7B humans present on the planet (Assuming population remains constant for the given infinite period), what perception would each individual hold?
