Yo apologies if my voice sounds a bit rough in this video. I had some technical issues with the mic I use and it was really painful to deal with. Other than that, I'm glad to finally get this series started! I totally planned to cover everything new in God Complex in a single video but the more I recorded, the more I realized that I'd probably need to make 2-3 videos... Next video will be about monsters, and the following about items and all other random things. I'm working hard to get this done! This'll actually be the first time I really try anything Complex-based, because for once it sounds like it's actually been playtested. I don't think it's just the perception of balance that turns off the wider Doom community, it's that these mods are kind of up their own ass with the amount of *stuff* you're expected to understand at any given moment, always operating on the assumption that you're already familiar with the multiple layers of bullshit that it's built on top of. The new progression system should help a bit, though.

I think that God Complex will change the CF community forever. CF looks outdated compared to God Complex, is likely that people start making addons for God Complex instead of CF. Just imagine custom tiers and other addons for God Complex, would be awesome!

i agree with you in the balancing part, i love playing wads with a ton of monsters, but balance is key, not only weapons but also monsters need balance, sometimes i like to play with the code of monsters from various wads and mashing them together then test them for only personal use i even learned to do some by my own like swarms of super tiny imps, i love to do that because it helps with my stress, and some creations are really insane, what is crazy is that sometimes they are made to fight with the original weapons, some monsters one shoot you with insane speed, have 10000000000 hp and people always need to have in mind, mappers sometimes do very cramped maps, like sometimes in hell revealed, you have to fight masterminds or cybies on very small rooms

Love it. Especially love the invul piercing. Invul is a great idea, as such and adds challenge but it often becomes too much of a nuisance especially with teleporting monsters.

At first glance, this mod looks very passionate, as if there is an overflowing amount of love put into it. There are a lot of fresh new features shown in this video that I did not saw when compared to PB3 and Russian Overkill. Good to see that you started this mod because of correcting the issues of the mod. I have to say that several of my projects started from the bottom because of balance improvisation. At first it was just balance correction, then continue into full front gameplay overhaul. Not the mod mentioned on this youtube channel, but at my moddb. It is good to see that there are people starting projects because of sheer improvisation. But there may be a time when you encounter dead ends or writer's block. That is when you have to put in effort. People can't come up with stuff out of nothing. Cheers m8, looking forward to play this mod.

Love the vid. Still on the hype train for this. Sprites 100/10, sounds 100/10, balance 100/10. But please tell me something. The cerebral bfg upgrade. Does it’s primary fire make the projectile track onto the nearest enemy, or will it just fire in a straight line like the normal devastator. Something that always got on my nerves was that the upgrade (in my opinion) made the weapon worse because of the tracking and it never really working. Looking forward to part 2!

In the following videos, you could explain all the options, what they are for, the correct load order, what all items and powerups are for, when to use them and how to use them. Just check that everything is working and there are no bugs. This is only for Zandronum 3.0 source port as i understand?

The change to leg weapons is so fucking good, just as you said in the video i would be happy when i would get them then never use them again because they werent usefull against powerfull shit, same thing with enraged, i love the phase weapons btw the sprite work and sound design are so fucking good.

I enjoy CF, but after awhile it did started to become stale and many of its flaws were starting to become more and more prominent. What GC has to offer is definitely SOOOO MUCH BETTER and definitely what CF should have been. Like seriously tho just seeing legendary weps can hurt legendary monsters now (as well as those sexy weapon sprites) probably just increased my lifespan.

The clip/mag thing: I don't know if anyone really cares which term you use, mainly because Doom has used the term "clip" to describe what's almost certainly a mag but is also like 16 pixels of definition for nearly 30 years now, but the distinction is that if you're talking about a box with a spring in it that pushes ammo into the chamber, that's a magazine. Clips are more a thing meant to hold ammo together for speedloading into a fixed magazine, like stripper clips or moon clips, though there are designs that'll use a clip "en bloc" like the way an M1 Garand works, where the whole thing goes into the gun and gets ejected when the clip is expended.

I AM one of those of the Boom DSDA Demo guys who left Gzdoom wads out of my life because of all the stated reasons in the intro here... and might I say.. you made a compelling case for a guy like me to reinstall Zandro w/ your God Complex and Try some maps. Is there any maps/ wads/ sets you would say are a must play w/ this set up? I am asking as a out of touch boomer that knows nothing of the types of maps clusterfuck guys enjoy. What makes a good clusterfuck map? I assume people play at lower difficulty to lower the UV Monster count spam to make a mod like this more manageable? I have played 1000000's of hours of battlefield and modern FPS online and feel I can get down w/ the fast paced game-play shown here just sort of want a good 1st night experience. Thanks for any help guys.

Glad its appealing! Honestly Alien Vendetta is one of the best to play with mods like this but its also the MOST played and probably overplayed. My personal suggestion is Bloodstain, although it does have some tough maps with rough starts. Epic 2 is also good. I love a lot of WADs with this mod but for someone's first time playing it I wouldn't suggest a lot of them lol. Maybe try Doom 2 or maps of chaos, or even a short WAD like Hellground.

This is pretty great and I look forward to playing it. I do hope you'll include a feature to selectively turn on/off legendary monsters or enraged monsters etc, but keep all the other monsters. I do like playing LCA over complex but I find that the LEG' monsters are really tough. Yes I know git-gud, but turning the difficulty down is like why bother at this point. I want the difficulty but the LEG' monsters take it over the top. Keep up the great work.

I stumbled across this video by chance and I'm glad I did. I've been done with CF for a while because it's too easy to get one-shot by everything added in the all the various addons. I like a challenge but not banging my head against the wall for an hour+ because of a bad start to a map. I can't wait for God Complex to come out because it's high time someone unfucked Clusterfuck.

The change to leggo weapons makes me want to play this mod again. They were too strong against normal enemies and using them felt like wasting high-value ammo. But then on legendary enemies they would do 0 damage! Like, none at all! I really hated that concept. And I'm not even talking about high-tier enemies such as vexed nemesis bullshit, even a bog-standard legendary imp would not take any damage from this weapon. Very good change indeed.

I like the weapon upgrade system but imo there is no reason why the explosive super shotgun shouldn’t replace the regular explosive shotgun, I mean really?? If anything should be an upgrade it should be that

Regular explosive Shotgun has a faster firerate than explosive SSG, so maybe that's why UV decided to keep it around. Altough i think more weapons should be replaced by others, i mean ovbiously mp40, some of the cannon variants (except ruffian cannon) and others could be replaced/merged in new weapon, as they lose their usefulness when you get better ones

Honestly I just brute forced it. I started by opening some of the CF files in the program called Slade and just looked around. Figured out how to remove a monster from the spawns and then tried copying an attack from one monster and pasting it onto another monster to make it fire different stuff. I ran into LOOOTS of bugs and issues early on but yeah really had to brute force it. I remember some days I was stuck on a single bug for like 8 hours trying to figure out wtf I was doing wrong

This is late but can you make the legendary and enraged ssg’s have better hit registration? Even if it may be more powerful than the explosive ssg. It sounds so weak compared to the explosive ssg. Can you have all of them sound more powerful? Ps. I think the barrel thing is pretty awkward and bad because it can lead to you dying because you pulled your enemies close to you even though you just wanted to do more damage with the alt fire And the nemesis bfg earthquake should have a 30 sec cooldown since it’s free, ammoless damage I wish that you can have a alternate sphere of power that is the tome of power or the tome of power replaces the sphere of power sprite I think the phase ssg should be either a lot tougher and more effective on some enemies because of the ammo consumption rate or it should chew up ammo far less What’s “ads” in this mod? I feel like the sphere of power should only be used in the original version of weapons to make them still have a use, so I think the sphere of power should go into the original railgun not the demon tech rifle Can you make the flame sword animation not so jittery? DONT REPLACE THE EXPLOSIVE MINIGUN, the sprite is really cool… That’s all I have to say about the weapons but good job!

I believe they are weapons from the Nexus part of the mod. It’s a strong nemesis ammo using weapon similar to the unmaker from doom64. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Is this going to work on GZDoom as well? Ever since they released the new GZDoom compatible version of Clusterf*ck I've been loving the ability to use all my fav GZ-only mods with it.
