I heard Matt on another podcast you did a while ago and was very intrigued by the wisdom about healing that I heard, and this is so incredible to hear more. He is speaking my language but in a deeper way about healing trauma. Thanks so much for this course. I definitely want to hear more. And I thank God for the work He has done in and through you guys.

What if you’re of the belief that god doesn’t exist? Or at least it doesn’t really care about us and never has

@@HusbandMaterial there isn’t much to tell. Raised Christian. At 9, I asked my pastor in front of the church if god was like Santa clause for adults, it was an honest question from a confused 9 year old and I got beaten pretty good for that 2 weeks later by the pastor. He got me another 3 times over the next 2 years. He used to say “do you believe yet” While he beat me everywhere, but my face. At 19, after not seeing that pathetic man for 6 years, I saw red and hit him so hard he was out cold for 3 minutes. I got arrested for striking an adult as an adult 1 time. I did 6 months for it. He got nothing for doing what he did to a child. That sort of started my path to knowing religion, or at least Christianity, was nonsense. I was born with a skeptical brain and my pastor triggered an interest to look critically at religion. So when church causes the trauma… is god to blame for not protecting innocent children. Mine was only physical abuse too.. I was lucky to get a pussy rather than a pedo I suppose.
