Believe it or not, sometimes I believe God has a valid reason to give us certain features to make us look proportionate. I LOVE two things in this video - 1. He didn’t hop on the bash Kylie/overreactiom bandwagon and called it out. 2. He guards against chasing perfection. That means a lot coming from a world-reknowned plastic surgeon. I was/am guilty of chasing perfection and I did this especially with under eye filler. Wanting it refilled at least 2 times a year - eventually my cheeks/eyes did not look like me anymore. Had it all dissolved and had Dr Karam do a fat transfer (I’m 46 - started getting fillers at 38). That’s the way to go in my opinion! Or listen to him and do the bare minimum. 😊 but chasing perfection is easy to do when we see all these perfect-looking models and celebrities. Don’t do it!! It’s a rabbit hole that will eventually swallow you!

A plastic surgeon put too much filler under my eyes when i wanted it more on the side/upper cheek area for volume loss. Idk why he put it there and honestly, he botched my botox, too, (hello joker!) so i stopped going to him. (I went to his clinic for facials, etc because my good friend worked for him, so i trusted him) Whenever i had something too salty or was emotional the night before, i would get swollen in that area. Looked like i got beat up. It's hydrophillic! So i would wear my glasses until it went away and just said i had cried a lot lately, hence the swelling. I wont get filler int hat area anymore and havent had fillers for many years because i dont want to look overdone. I think now I'll save up for a facelift if i need it down the road

The lighting was terrible on that red carpet. Having said that we don’t know for certain if the swelling is due to filler. Now, people sometimes intend to use the fact she looks a bit mature as an insult. Like Oh she looks in her 40’s or such. Why being 40 or older become such a tragedy? I just feel for her… a lot. Because, I’ve never had fillers in my life, but I’ve had this same problem. Back in time, I had thrombosis in my head, and I had to face a treatment that made my face swallow, brought me hair loss and fat gain. And to make things even more difficult, I had to face the death of my beloved father. My face was a mess… Im getting to recover a little of my youth that has gone, by using Tretinoin, making face yoga and massages. I've been through similar (life, loss) over the past 3 years. I've always looked younger than I was, never had fillers. But I became convinced that life took a toll recently. I've also been doing daily face yoga and massage, drink lots of water, use hyaluronic and collagen serums and loads of moisturizers. I think it's helping!

Good question. My doctor didn’t even let me get some lip filler after I told her I was just in a bad break up. She didn’t want me doing something I’d regret because I was in a bad mental state at the moment. She told me to come back in a couple of months after emotionally healing a bit more if I still wanted to get the injections. I always respected her greatly for that.

Yep. I had under eye filler one time and was so glad after it wore away 18 months later. It was so puffy in the mornings or during allergy season. It only looked good at certain times. Never again. Natural is best.

yes, a good (+ ethical) injector will ask if you have any or are prone to sinus/allergy issues and if you are and or do, they will tell you you're not a candidate and will not fill. Most don't even ask and will literally inject anyone. It's all about that 💲💲

@@louisah6020 to be fair, he did say that he did not like to do it because of many reasons like the skin being so thin and the risk of it looking lumpy, or the swelling of it from water retention, but I told him I did not care. Lol. Yep, I was one of those people who thought they knew better than the doctor. It looked awesome right after he did it. But after a few sleep cycles, it did exactly what he and Dr. Karim said it would. 😂

A study was released about the fact that fillers can in fact cause cancer. They create blockages in the lymphatic system which prevents the body from freeing itself of cancer cells which grow in our bodies all the time; however most of the time our bodies easily remove these ‘foreign’ issues. Also even fillers that dissolve stay in our system for tens of years…

This is NOT a fact yet. Please don't scare people and spread misinformation. They still have to do extensive studies to determine whether there is a direct link to fillers and cancer. All they know so far is that fillers can cause some lymphatic drainage blockage particularly in places such as the cheeks and under eyes. But there is no data that has found a direct link between filler and cancer.

I have always hated overhead direct lighting especially in restaurants. Indirect is more flattering and forgiving for everyone. Direct lighting creates shadows and shapes that are not there…I.e., flashlight under the face…direct lighting can also cause or exacerbate migraines. Yes it is because of that too, before i had filler years ago. I lost a ton of weight due a apendicitis surgery, in a little shorter time i looked extremely older and tired, then the face backs again (even maintaining the weight), i have fillers nowadays, and lost weight in a short time again (now healthy, with a strict diet) i look super super tired, filler have nothing to do with it, i did once with restylane, like, i will wait years to do again.

The other problem for Kylie is how her mom bought her a full face transplant as a minor and now she has to try to maintain that. Not only will she always feel insecure about having had such extensive surgery to look the way she does (aka like kim), she will always have to worry about maintaining that face, and the more work is done at younger ages, the more unpredictable the results become over the long term.
