At the age of 63 my skin looks better now than it did at 50. My skin is so luminous that I wear Matt foundations most of the time no one believes I am 63. Everything you said is so Important. I liked the products enough to purchase Trifecta again in April. The website did not offer DHL delivery any longer. Fedex was the only option. I placed an order for $693.00 which never arrived. The tracking Fedex facility says it is returning the shipment to the sender. Karam MD has gone completely silent. I will not hesitate to sue. My 11 muscles began to atrophy after five years of regular botox. They gradually became weaker and weaker over the years. I began with injections every three months, then every 6 months, and now once a year. It's like the muscles "forget" to start moving again.
@bethanywurzburg91816 ай бұрын
Hope this isn't a dumb question, but is this good or bad? Are you saying you have less wrinkles or that the wrinkles are more prominent because of the muscle atrophy?
@lynndupree12056 ай бұрын
@bethanywurzburg9181 I'm saying that the muscles in my forehead stopped being overactive, due to eventual atrophy, which caused the skin to stop wrinkling. Think of it this way: if you ball up a piece of paper and then unfold it, it will have wrinkles. And the more you repeat that, the worse the wrinkles will be. Atrophy of the muscles means you will need fewer botox appointments. The muscles didn't atrophy to the point of leaving my skin stretched out. Facial muscles are small. 😘

It was a very worrisome cascade of events after the appointment. To start- during the appointment the nurse mentioned I was bleeding a lot. She then said I had developed a hematoma. She, without warning, took her thumb and pushed it against my forehead popping the hematoma. That was surprising and painful. She told me I would likely bruise and to ice the area. I wasn’t worried leaving the appointment because she told me it would heal. The next two weeks the vein in my forehead turned dark blue. It extended from my nose all the way up to my hair line and branched off mid way into another section. It was very blue and bulging. Make up would not cover the discoloration and it was noticeable from a distance so I was not only self conscious but worried about blood supply to my face. It would throb when I touched it. I called the office two weeks later because the botox hadn’t taken effect on half my face and I wanted her to see what happened to the vein. She told me to wait another two weeks. After that time the vein color started to fade- but now, instead of it bulging, it completely collapsed. I could see an indentation across my face the whole track of the vein. It was finally time for me to go to my next appointment and the nurse who did my injection was not there. I saw another nurse. They looked and felt around the vein and said she thought it was ok. Fast forward it has been about 5 months and I can no longer visually see any changes to my vein. My forehead looks like it did before the whole event. The only lasting impact is when my husband puts his forehead against mine, I can feel the vein throbbing and feel building pressure and it’s uncomfortable/ slightly painful. I don’t know what to do as anytime I tried to explain what happened the other nurses would cut me off in defense of the injector saying it could happen to any injector. I never blamed her- I was honestly to nice about this whole situation and have been very patient waiting all these months for it to heal, only calling the office twice during this time. I only wanted to be heard because I feel like something bad happened. The office never once called me after the initial event to check on me and I have I feeling it’s not even on my file that it happened. I truly loved how botox made my face look so much more youthful and rested but now I’m scared to go back and disappointed in the lack of concern from the medical staff. Seems they only care about getting people in to make a profit.

Dr Karam, I had a plastic surgeon once give me Botox - he froze my face, and when I came back 5 months later to try again, he said that he had to inject that much because if you didn’t inject enough to “freeze” the muscles, Botox wouldn’t work - he said you can’t soften wrinkles with smaller doses. It’s only one or the other. This confused me as I had had it done before (I’d lived in another state) and had never been frozen like that. I am curious your thoughts on this. This surgeon is known in the state I live in now for botox but my experience was he used too much.

Hi Doctor. I have been going to the same office for a long time, but there are continually new injectors. The last time that I went, my right upper eye lid began to lay on the lower eyelid. it has been the most uncomfortable feeling. I am an aesthetician and have been since 2003. I take extremely good care of my skin. I stay out of the sun and have good genetics with an Italian olive complexion. I’ve been getting Botox since I was 45 and absolutely loved the results and lift it gave to my eyes. I don’t understand what this injector did that caused that to happen. It has now been six months and I’m still getting strange feelings in my right eye where at times it will feel somewhat normal and then the upper lid will drop and touch the lower lid. Is possible that a nerve was damaged during the injection? Also, is injecting into the eyebrow a “no zone“? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. What I’m looking for is my eyes to be lifted a reduction in my crows feet as well as a softening of the lines in my forehead. I have also had filler in my cheeks, nasal labial fold, as well as a little bit of lip injection to reduce lines in the lips. My goal is to look natural and enhance my features without somebody looking at me and knowing I’ve had work done. Thank you so much. I enjoy your educational videos tremendously.

Blisters on the forehead after Botox procedure. Is this normal? Because I had it done by two doctors and with the first doctor I didn’t have any blisters.

Great video. Do you have concerns if someone doesn't overdo it with dosing and only gets it done every 4 months, but has it done for many years? Wondering if there are concerns using botox in same area for extended period of time.
@dramirkaram6 ай бұрын
Using Botox every 4 months over many years, as long as it's not overdone, is generally considered safe. However, prolonged and frequent use in the same area may lead to tolerance buildup or muscle atrophy, potentially affecting long-term effectiveness and muscle function. It depends on your tolerance, how your body metabolizes it, and if you follow proper post op protocol. So basically, it depends on the person.

I am a 76-year old female and have an eye tic that I tried to have addressed with Botox. My doctor suggested I see an Opthomologist for the treatment, but unfortunately, he injected too much (twice the required amount he admitted); and now I cannot close my lids completely, I have dry and droopy eyes, and nothing can be done except wait!! The tic is still very present. Do you think I should have seen a different type of practitioner? Thank you. Your advice would be appreciated.

What is the proper way to have Botox injections for migraines? My doctor puts them in my forehead, between my eyes and on my temples, with the 35 shots I get in my head. I get a total of 4 100 units

Hello, I’m 70 yr. Old & I had a brow Lift, upper Bleph, deep plane & neck lift 28 days ago. I noticed that one eyelid was lower Dr. said it was just the swelling but it didn’t get better. Now he’s saying that looks like my brow has dropped & wants to do Botex injections. What’s your opinion about correcting this? I thought that Botox freezes the muscles that are supporting my brow?

I only did it once. Idk if it is just me but around 2 months the Botox stop working.
