My problem is lack of Android compatibility. I love the idea of iCloud because while I've used Mac alongside Windows 20+ years, whatever Mac computer I have/had was always my "main" computer. But I've always had Android phones. If iCloud was more possible to use on Android, I be on it in a heartbeat!

I hear ya @Sandy Deng! But on the flip side, Google can almost do everything that Apple does with their cloud eco system. Google has photos, contacts, calendars, backups and there's almost more similarities between these big tech companies than there is differences. I'm hoping for the future where the better integrate with iMessage and such, but overall, there are a few work arounds to make things work efficiently depending on what your goal is. Are you using Google Drive or any of their cloud services? Thanks so much for watching! If you haven’t already, please support me by subscribing! Thanks for the vid Jeff. Can you advise if it is possible to add outlook Ms 365 to the iCloud? Thanks
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hey @Pinterest Express! Microsoft 365 would be a direct competitor to iCloud. In the grand scheme, we'll say there are three big tech companies that have great eco-systems: Apple, Microsoft and Google. Each company has their own suite of tools and features. For example, each have a word processing tool: Microsoft has Microsoft Word, which is equivalent to Apple Pages, which is equivalent to Google Docs. All have their own cloud storage, so Microsoft OneDrive, would be equivalent to Apple iCloud, which would be equivalent to Google Drive. So long story short, you can use these services on any of your devices, but really they're different services that all work in the same way. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! If you haven’t already, please support me by subscribing! It helps more than you know and is greatly appreciated! Hi Joel! Thank you for the info. I have a unique situation in that my Macbook Pro has some faulty thunderbolt ports and I need to send it in for repair. I would like to back up to icloud. I have plenty of storage on the cloud and it is a fairly new computer with not much on it, but it does have a few important applications and files like this year's Turbotax files and and other documents. Did I understand you to say that I can't backup a computer to the cloud, but only my iphone and ipad? I'm not able to plug in my external hard drive or even a flash drive (again, due to the faulty ports). How can I best backup everything before sending it in for repair?
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Great question @Libby Grazian! So if all ports on your Mac are not usable and you're not able to plug in any external drive on any type of port, then yes, your only option may be a cloud solution like iCloud. iCloud Drive is a dedicated folder on your Mac that automatically syncs content to iCloud. You for sure would want to move files there. As far as Applications go, usually you are able to re-download those and I wouldn't think you need to store those there. Applications have many other files referenced to it, so instead like TurboTax, usually you can export a backup file or database file so that you can import it into the software. That's what you would want to save in iCloud Drive. I do have a video specifically talking about iCloud Drive and syncing files that may be helpful. I'll link down below for reference: How to use iCLOUD DRIVE on your Mac, iPhone and iPad - IN DEPTH understanding of syncing your files! kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHm9fZWIZ9mkZ8k I hope that helps! Great question @Adel Alanzi and valid concern! I use Notes a lot and among multiple Macs, iPads and an iPhone, not all devices are always connected to the internet. Whenever you update a Note on one device, it will update and reflect the changes on the other devices once they connect to the Internet. The main thing is that it will always sync the Notes to be the same across all devices. So if you delete a Note on an iPhone, it will delete that same note on all of your other devices once they connect to the internet. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! An excellent guide, thank you :) I’ve got a question if that’s OK. I’ve got an old historical “.Mac” (.iTools before that) account that I’ve been using to purchase and sync the majority of things. But I also have a much newer “.iCloud” account too. Increasingly the iOS and macOS want to use the “.iCloud” account over the older “.Mac” account. At the moment I’m using the settings in “Family Sharing” as a workaround, basically treating the older account as the “Organiser” and the newer account as a “Family member”. It sort of works but is a bit clunky. Is there any way to reliably merge the older account into the newer account? Or is there some way to bulk transfer things like Notes, Calendars, Reminders, Purchases etc. over to the other account? Thanks, Ian :)
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching @Ian Trott! Nice, so you're for sure die hard Mac user! LOVE IT. I had .Mac also before MobileMe, but iTools was before my time! There is no set method by Apple that I've ever seen to merge any two Apple ID accounts...however upon reading about the new Apple One service, I thought I did see that you're possibility able to combine an Apple ID that was used for Media and an another Apple ID that was using iCloud, but not 100% sure on that as I have not migrated and switched yet. The tricky part that you're dealing with is that you already have two Apple ID's....I know that you can export and transfer all of your purchases to a new email that isn't an Apple ID yet, but that won't help you now....I would seriously look at Apple One. Ass far as Notes: I don't believe there is a bulk export option, however if you're signed into Notes on the Mac, it does give you the easy option to be signed into multiple accounts and you can select all the Notes, hold down option on the keyboard as you drag and it will copy the notes from one account to another. Calendars you can for sure Export and then import whole calendars into different accounts, but Reminders I don't use that too often, so i'm not sure. You may be able to find a preference file on the Mac in the Library folder to find, but I'd google it first. I know that's how it is with Stickies on the Mac. They live in a preference file that you can copy over. So hopefully some of this helps. I wish you the best of luck and curious on what works for you! Thanks for watching and I appreciate the support!

@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 3 жыл бұрын
Hi @gr8ride411! So this is one of these things that's always kinda bugs me and just when you think it works, it magically stops for whatever reason...however I have a few places to check your settings and things to try.... First and foremost, make sure that in your iPhone, iPad, Mac whatever apple product you have, go into the Settings for Contacts and look for the "My Info" option. On a mobile device it will be: Settings > Contacts > My Info On the Mac it will be in the Contacts App and then find your contact card and go make sure it is set to "My Card". Easiest thing to do is find yourself in your contacts and go to "Card" in the top men bar and look for "Make this my Card" This option tells the devices who is associated with the contact card and should sync. This does not change the photo for the local user on the Mac, but it should change within the first option of the settings in iCloud for you. Mine syncs everywhere except icloud.com with is most likely a bug. Try adding a photo and see if it syncs after you do that! Hope this helps and let me know if it makes sense and works! Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate the support!

When I download an app for the first time it has the GET option. If it has the ‘little cloud’ symbol, I think its the backup in my iCloud. Is the app and data in my iCloud or just the data? If I delete the app and data from my device, the data (or app and data) is still in my iCloud ‘little cloud’ symbol when I view it in the app store. Seems I can then download the app/data from iCloud. What if I really don’t what the app and really never want it again. Can app/data be completed deleted from iCloud? If I ever did want it again it would just start over with ‘GET’ option. Thanks
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hi @Hans Koscielny! When you are in the App Store or iTunes App Store and want to "buy" or download any App, Movie, TV show or anything that Apple offers, the button usually says "GET" for the very first time. Keep in mind that regardless if an App is free or not, you're still "buying" it as it will always show under your purchase history, unless you hide it. After you've downloaded the App after pressing "GET", if you visit the App Store again, it will no say "Open". If the App is deleted off your device, it will then show the little cloud with the downward arrow. This just represents that you've previously downloaded the App and you're able to re-download it free of charge (if you've paid money for it) Now when an App is deleted the data within the App can be saved to iCloud depending if the creator of the App allowed that to happen. Otherwise the information is gone when it's deleted. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching and if you'd like to support me by subscribing, I would greatly appreciate it!

I have 2 iPhones. Can I sync them in the cloud and have all the information from both downloaded together on one phone? Doesn’t each phone have its own iCloud? This is one area I still don’t understand.
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hi @Las Vegas Bristol! Great question! So the key is that you have one iCloud account, also known as an Apple ID. You use this one account on both devices. By doing this, it creates the link between the two so that they are sync. So if you take a picture on one device, it will show up on the other. If you add a new contact on one device, it will show up on the other one. Solutions like iCloud are all about convenience. It allows content to wirelessly sync from one device to another that is using the same Apple ID. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! Kinda... Usually when an Apple ID has been created with a third party email like gmail, or yahoo or whatever, the "Mail" option is turned off in the iCloud settings. When it gets turned on, it will prompt you to create an iCloud email address. So you may already have one and don't know it. Other than that, you can always create a brand new Apple ID using the email ending in @icloud.com Let me know if you have Mail turned on and I can help you figure out what the account is! Hello ! I've got a question, Cant I change the email address appearing on Icloud to another?
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hey @Vinuki perera! So short answer, kinda but it depends...long answer, it's a freaking pain! What you're really needing to do is change your Apple ID email address... Your Apple ID and iCloud are one of the same. I'll refer to Apple ID and iCloud accounts as one of the same, because they pretty much are. When you create an Apple ID, you have two options: 1. Use your own existing email address like a gmail, yahoo, or hotmail. 2. Create a brand new email address from Apple that ends in @icloud.com You do have the ability to change either, but you have to change it an email that's not already an Apple ID. So for example lets say my current Apple ID is something@gmail.com. If I wanted to change that to rockstar@yahoo.com, I first need to already have that account created, and it also can not be associated with Apple in anyway shape or form. After you've identified what account you want it to be, you need to go to: appleid.apple.com This is the website to manage and change what your Apple ID is and the email address it's associated with. I will say that before you do this it is highly recommended that you are signed out of every device that you may have used that Apple ID with before changing. I do have some videos in the works related to Changing Apple ID's and such so stay tuned! Below is also a link that explains how to create new Apple ID's that may be helpful too. If I've been working with Excel, will it be in iCloud Numbers? Or do I have to save to iCloud?
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hi @Joan Gillem! So Apple Numbers is the the equivalent to Microsoft Excel. If you're using Excel on an iPhone or iPad, you have the ability to either save to three locations: (also keep in mind that you will most likely need to have a Microsoft365 subscription to actually create files within any of the Microsoft Apps on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac). 1: Microsoft OneDrive, which is Microsoft's version of iCloud that's stored in their cloud 2: Locally to the iPhone or iPad 3: The app Files, which is the App on the iPhone or iPad that organizes files inside of iCloud Drive, which is really the storage for Apple's iCloud. Now if you use Numbers (which is free) on an iPhone or iPad, it creates a folder for you called "Numbers" which is just a pre-created folder to help you get organized. You don't have to actually use it if you don't want to. So in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter where you save it as long as you know where it's being saved. I personally would choose one location and one eco system to be in, as it would save you money, and easier to manage all of your files, especially if you're using a cloud environment. I hope that helps! If you haven’t already, please support me by subscribing! It helps more than you know and so greatly appreciated! Also if you know someone who may benefit from this video, feel free to share it along!

@@Learnwithjoel Thanks for your reply. Yes, I did subscribed yesterday when I found your session. I have been using Word, Excel and PPT on my MacBook Air. I don't remember paying for it (but probably did through the company I use to work with). So I guess what I'm asking is ~ to save my spreadsheets (they are the most important docs to me), should I save them "save as" to a different format? Perhaps in the future, I'd like to be able to pull these up on my phone, but for now, I'll only be using them on my laptop. I'm almost completely out of space on my iPhone 7. I live in Nicaragua now and really don't want to spend the money on a new phone. I think I'll reset my phone ~ completely erasing content and then sign back in with my AppleID and get the backup from the cloud. This is probably unnecessary info, but :-) For right now I'll be trying to learn all I can about iCloud. Thanks for your lessons!!

@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Great question @Patje Kluivert! I believe most big companies have designed it to work this way among all devices. Apple, Google, and Microsoft Photo Cloud services will all delete a photo from all devices if deleted from only device. This way they're all in sync and on the same page. Now you can always save/export photos from Apple Photos on your Mac to a different folder like the "Pictures" folder and by doing that will make a copy of them to your computer. Then you could delete them from Apple Photos. But then keep in mind, these files would only live in that folder and no longer be in iCloud or any of your devices. Hi @Kathy Smith! So other email accounts wouldn't necessarily get stored in iCloud. When someone creates an iCloud/Apple ID account they have the ability to create a brand new @icloud.com email account or use an existing email address... This is where it can be confusing. You could use an existing google gmail account as an iCloud account, but it has nothing to do with google email...it's more used like a username for apple, but you're using a gmail email address as the username. Hi @mrtklc! So iCloud really is a syncing service and with that you do have the ability to turn off syncing on particular devices. So for example, if you currently use iCloud and specifically iCloud Photos, when you take a photo on your iPhone, it goes to icloud.com and any other apple devices. If you turn off iCloud Photos on your iPhone, the photos will no longer do that. If you main goal is to free up space, but still sync, I would look at the optimize storage option for iCloud Photos as that should allow you to free up space and still have the syncing capabilities. I have a video that talks about that feature that may be helpful that i'll link below. I tried to set up iCloud but didn't understand it would delete files from my computer. I freaked out and just tried to turn it off. After a few minutes (w/ very little even copied to iCloud) all the desktop files VANISHED. So, I turned it back on. All files came back! Then I learned about the Optimize Mac Storage box! (I had it checked), So, I have unchecked that box, so I can keep the files on my computer also. BUT, now it is taking way too long to upload (I have 800GBs). Can I NOW turn it off and not fear the files disappearing again, (since I have Optimize Mac Storage unchecked), or have I messed something up by trying to stop the process? I will let it continue to upload. (I do have enough room in my iCloud storage at 2TB). I do run Time Machine, so I don't fear losing my files (too much). So, that is my main question, can you change your mind and stop the upload w/o losing things? And how will turning off Optimize Mac Storage affect the in-progress upload? Thanks!

Hi @Country Dancing Tonight! So 800GB is for sure a lot to upload at once. Is that 800GB on your Desktop or Documents folder? By turning iCloud Drive syncing for Desktop and Documents, it will make it disappear, but it just puts in the main iCloud Drive folder. I have a video dedicated to just iCloud Drive that may be helpful. I'll link below for reference: How to use iCLOUD DRIVE on your Mac, iPhone and iPad - IN DEPTH understanding of syncing your files! kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHm9fZWIZ9mkZ8k I've never had any issues with turning off sync and turning it back on, but then again with the amount of data that you have, it may be wise to let it finish it's sync. So if my Mac and my external HDs and devices were suddenly destroyed, I woud be able to buy a brand new MacBook, and sign into my iCloud account and have access to all my photos and documents, etc? I assume there would be an easy way to then take all the iCloud files, etc and install them into the new device?
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hey @Echo Heron! You have the right idea! If that situation were to happen, you would log into your brand new mac, and sign into iCloud and almost everything of what you had synced would be saved in iCloud and therefore would download to the new Mac... Apple has the ability to sync everything in your Desktop & Documents folders, but if you were storing files anywhere else, it would not be in there, and those would be lost. That goes for your Music and Pictures folder too...I think Apple assumes that every user stores photos in the Apple Photos library, but if they didn't and you just had random photos in the pictures folder, they would not be in iCloud. So for the most part, you would have a lot of your files come to your new mac, but it does not bring over 100% of everything. It's always a good idea to have a backup or be very specific where you save files. But also keep in mind if you were an iMovie user, video files are larger and they do not sync automatically. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! If you haven’t already, please support me by subscribing! It helps more than you know and is greatly appreciated! Hi @C. A. Great question! Let's verify a few setting and such! You're on the right track for using the same Apple ID. So on your iPhone and iPad, do you have any other email accounts on your device? The notes app is really a central location to store notes among multiple email accounts, so if you have more than just one account on your device, it might be going there. First thing to check is the default location for when you create a brand new note: On your iPhone and iPad go to: Settings > Notes > Default Account. Make sure this is set to your iCloud account. Also there's probably an option that says "On My iPhone" Account....I don't recommend having that on or using it because then those notes are stored ONLY on that device and if something happens, you'll lose them. Also double check that "Notes" is turned on and enabled within the iCloud settings on your mobile devices. Take a peek at those settings and let me know! Thanks for watching and I appreciate the support!

Hi @CasterCAM! First and foremost, welcome to the Apple Family! Secondly, sorry for the late response as I was out traveling all last week! Now down to business...What content are you looking for? iCloud is a service that synchronizes specific information on specific devices and locations. If you visit www.icloud.com and log in with your iCloud/Apple ID you'll be able to see: iCloud Email, Contacts and Calendars iCloud Photos iCloud Drive (this is just an online storage location) iCloud Notes and Reminders iCloud Pages, Numbers and Keynote (equivalent to Word, Excel and Powerpoint) Find Friends and Find iPhone, which should really just be called "Find My" If you have a Mac go to the  in the top left of your screen and go to System Preferences and go to Apple ID. Here you should see iCloud options with a bunch of boxes to "check" to enable syncing or not. Same thing on an iPhone or iPad. Keep in mind, no one is really required to use iCloud. It's pure convenience. Also not that iCloud does not sync 100% of everything to icloud.com or all devices. Hope this helps clarify things a little! Don't hesitate to reach out! @Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 3 жыл бұрын
@@castercam8510 iCloud is not for everyone for sure. It's not required by any means. I think that in users are so portable now that they want the flexibility of their files anywhere on any device. Apple does this with iCloud Drive, Google does this with Google Drive, and Microsoft does this with OneDrive. All are the same. They will show you content within the cloud environment, but if there's content that is not locally stored and synced, it will be removed from the device. When you say it's a pull sync and takes over your computer, what do you mean by take over? What content are you choosing to sync? What content do you want to sync? I use all three systems a lot for personal and work and they all are very very similar. I would say that for users who want alternatives is just that you're storing everything locally or on external hard drives the "old school way" so to speak. Is your main goal to sync content between multiple devices? If not, then there is no need to use these services, but if you do, you just need to pick the best one that most fits your needs.

Great question @ph f! Whenever you use any cloud service what happens is that you're able to continue to use the device as normal and expected. It just means it's not going to upload content to iCloud (or other cloud) when you have no internet. Then when you get back from a location where you do have internet, it will upload and be up to date. So for example, let's say you have an iPhone and you're gone all summer on your boat where there is absolutely no service or internet. When you take pictures or videos, all of that content will be on your iPhone, but in that moment, that's the only location it resides. When you get back to a location that has service or internet, it just picks up where it left off and starts to upload, sync and backup to iCloud. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! I hate that you cannot upload folders containing files. You have to actually create a new folder in iCloud Drive. THEN upload the files. Not good for cloud storage. But good for general backup.

I couldn't agree more @Dale! Apple for sure needs some improvement on iCloud Drive from the web browser experience! It works pretty well from the Finder on the Mac, but certainly room to improve! Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate the support!

I'm Android user, and I found an iphone without icloud, so basically it is a dead phone, isn't?

Hi @Crystal Clear! What do you mean by an iPhone without iCloud? Did you find an iPhone where there was no account signed into the iCloud Settings? Either way, iCloud is not required for an iPhone to work, so it wouldn't be dead. However if someone is signed in with an Apple ID/iCloud account, the device can have an activation lock so that if it's erased, you need the iCloud username and password to unlock it. In this case, the iPhone would be useless without that information. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! My question is: Is this service even necessary? I don't see why I would want all my devices to be synched together this way. I feel I would rather transfer pictures/videos from my phone to my MacBook manually because there are things on my phone id rather they just stay there. Also the ability to just go to the iCloud website and sign in there to view and download things to my Mac is very convenient. I don't get why I'd want to use iCloud except as a backup to store things.

Hey @Mauro Alvarez! So is iCloud required or necessary on an Apple device. I would say no. However it does make syncing certain content across the board much easier. iCloud just like any other cloud account out there today like google, or outlook allow you to pick and choose what information you want to sync across your devices. As far as iCloud for me personally, it's pure convenience. The ability to create a note on my iPhone and have it automatically show up on my Mac without be plugging my phone is important to me. Not only do I do this with Notes, but my contacts, Calendars, text messages, bookmarks all are on the same page from my Mac, to iPhone and to iPad. Without this, it would be really annoying to have to create a new contact lets say on my iPhone and then having to recreate it on my other devices. Now as far as photos goes, that too is personal preference. Do people really need every single photo and video they take showing up on every device? Probably not, but for me being a freelance photographer, it sure is nice to have access to it all. iCloud is very robust service and you are right that using icloud.com is very easy and convenient too! Hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate the support!

super easy to lose photos when you use icloud to sync. even if you have 4000 images and you sync to your phone. better to use google photos to back up. or better to have both paid service of 200gb icloud and google photos

Hi @shin sekai! I think there's for sure pros and cons to any provider's cloud photo solution...I guess I'd love to hear more about how it's super easy to lose photos when you're using iCloud to sync? All of the photos are synced by date (year, month, day) automatically and then you have full control to organize through albums any way you wish. You could certainly pay more for google cloud storage to have a secondary backup, but it will sure add up quickly! Thanks for watching!

It just makes things ten times more complicated there by making it less enjoyable especially for older people. If I could do it over again I would get a android. Mine is really a gift so I can't get Rid of it without hurting them. I will very painfully hold onto it for about a year and dump it. Take a Hammer to it and toss it in the dumpster.

I wouldn't call this a "complete understanding". You didn't discuss files and the use of iCloud to organize your documents. Most of what you explained is true enough but is like explaining how the plumbing in your house works. Explaining the file organization functions of iCloud would be like explaining how you can decorate and furnish your house -- it's something that you can actually DO something with.

I appreciate the feedback @emmgeevideo! This was more of a general understanding of what iCloud Service does and the overall concept. I have other videos that discuss other things such as iCloud Drive to organize documents. Trying to demonstrate and fit every topic into one video would be extremely long and challenging. Thanks for watching!

The single most common "device" on the planet is the Android phone. So iCloud does not work on most devices. It barely works on MacOS and iPhone, it sort of works on Windows and it doesn't work at all on Android or Linux. Even within it's own Apple Eco-system iCloud is awful. Managing photographs is obtuse and error prone. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with creating a folder and just using drag and drop? Why all the BS screwing around in the Photos' app? Why so difficult to share that folder with other people? It is literally easier to manage iCloud Photos on Windows than it is on MacOS or IOS. I am not kidding. I can just copy or move photos into an iCloud folder in Windows - done. The biggest problem is that ONLY photos works this way. No other file type is permitted. It is well nigh impossible to put files on iCloud that are not directly associated with an application in the Apple Eco system and are completely managed by Apple. For example, suppose I have a PDF copy of a vaccination record that I want on all my devices, you know, just in case I need it when I travel. Can I just copy it and put it in an iCloud Folder? NO. Because Apple wants to completely manage your life and keep you using only the Apple eco-system. Ignore iCloud, get OneDrive.
@callmeNeno
@callmeNeno 2 жыл бұрын
I tried it all; Apple is the best ecosystem hands down. If you really want to keep that vaccine record available just scan it to Apple Notes Apple Wallet or Evernote. Simple
@logaandm
@logaandm 2 жыл бұрын
@@callmeNeno You've missed the point entirely. iCloud only lets you put things that Apple deems to be acceptable. If I have any type of file outside of the Apple eco-system, the Apple pay as you go eco system, then it forget it. OneDrive is a real cloud drive. Just put files on it and they show up (eventually) on where ever you have OneDrive installed. As long as I have an internet connection I can literally stop working on a file on my desktop Windows machine and then start working on it a few minutes later on my MacOS laptop - all completely seamlessly. It's just a drive that is a little slower. The comparison between OneDrive and iCloud is so stark I find it silly to even consider iCloud for storage.
@Learnwithjoel

Hi @Andrew Logan! I don't disagree that iCloud does not work on most devices, as it's designed for Apple Devices. I'm sure that's Apple's goal. I've been using iCloud since the early days of MobileMe and it has been consistently reliable as any of the other cloud solutions, even before OneDrive and Google Drive was even a thing. I think you may be confusing iCloud Photos with iCloud Drive, as yes they are the same cloud, but they work independently of each other. iCloud Drive can easily share files and folders with other users. No different that Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive. I have plenty of PDF files in addition to many other files in iCloud Drive that I keep in an iCloud Folder and it updates and reflects on all of my devices. No issues at all. I'm curious to how you're not able to copy and put a PDF vaccination file record into an iCloud Folder?
@Learnwithjoel
@Learnwithjoel 2 жыл бұрын
Hey @Andrew Logan! I would agree with @Neno.... What type of file that is "outside" of Apple's eco-system are you not able to put into iCloud? And as far as Apple Pay, how is that any different from Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Walmart Pay...etc? OneDrive is a cloud system provided by Microsoft that honestly works no different in the grand scheme of syncing files than iCloud does. I would love to hear what files and things sync in OneDrive that do not work in iCloud.
@logaandm
@logaandm 2 жыл бұрын
@@Learnwithjoel My apologies. I stand corrected. The iCloud portion works similar to OneDrive except on Android phones. My frustrations arise not so much from iCloud as iCloud being the only way to put files on to my phone. It would be far easier - and cheaper, to be able to simply copy files to my phone. I have plenty of storage on my phone that is difficult to access without using iCloud.
