Had no idea that bears and gators can live in the same climate area. Shows how much you learn by watching these channels

Same! But I will say having moved here a year ago Florida’s climate is a lot more diverse than you would think. I had thought that the subtropical climate meant that it never got very cold but it was down to the 40s last year! You learn something new about Florida’s climate and ecosystems every day.

I love how they start to smile, when they realise that there is at least one bear not far from them, possibly two, where most people would need a change underwear, they just smile, amazing Chris, I love your videos, I used to watch you with Paul on the Gator Boys TV show, its great that you are still seeking out and protecting wildlife.

That was INCREDIBLE!!! The baby Owl ☺️ SO CUTE!!!! It was super cool to watch you track. Fascinating:). I would love to be able to see a gator digging one of those dens. I don’t know if that would be possible for safety purposes, but it would be cool to see. Thanks for a fantastic video👍. Glad you had a safe trip home (all limbs accounted for) 😁

That was cool. I knew those gator holes existed because I stepped in one once, about 12 feet deep in otherwise 2 feet of water. I've also logged a zillion hours on a bass boat in Florida, but I've never seen what the dens looked like before this. I always learn something from your videos.

Both animals only really attack in defense and they almost never want to. Both of them kill about 1 person per year. (To my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong.)

I feel ridiculous, but I didn’t even know there were bears in the Everglades! I live on the south Texas coast and I always think of the wildlife in the Everglades as being the same or similar as wildlife here, just with more swamp/marsh areas and definitely a few more invasive species. But we definitely don’t have bears!
@im1withnature2 жыл бұрын
We have bears , panthers, Bob cats , fox , coyote, striped and spotted skunk, otters, mink,, hogs, nutria, about 200 types of reptiles and amphibians, gators, American crocs, 5 types of venomous snakes , gray squirrel, fox squirrel, over 100 fairly common species of butterfly plus another 50 that are rare finds! We have an amazing mix of critters here!!!
@kendrasowell24112 жыл бұрын
@@im1withnature, that’s incredible! What is a Nutria?
@im1withnature2 жыл бұрын
To me there like a cross between a rat and a pig. In new Orleans there responsible for a lot of bank erosion as they dig into river banks to make dens. You have some fairly amazing critters where your at too tho.. Its one of the places I'd love to explore, and your native animals to my life list!!! Have a awesome day!!
@Annie_Annie__2 жыл бұрын
We have most of those animals here as well as javelina and occasionally jaguarundi. We also have green parakeets. They’re native, not invasive. The only place in the US with a native parrot. But we don’t have crocs, only Florida does (in the US) but we definitely have alligators and lots of other reptiles and amphibians.
