I think the Lombardy family was one of the great dynasties in Italy. There were several Italian men who made fortunes in the merchant trade and they all created dynasties some of which still exist to this day. Beautiful country around there. You won't find anything in the USA that was built in 1170.

A Lombardi built a very successful American football franchise in the 1950s/1960s in the United States. They named the sports biggest honor after Him
@alexandrelct8262 жыл бұрын
@A. M. As a french who do not live in Lombardy but love french history I'm agree, I do know the Sforza and Visconti family because our french kings do made wars in the XVI th century to get Milan against Sforza familly and Habsbourg power. Italy was seen by french soldiers has the most beautiful, rich and cool lands in Europe, french soldiers use to love to go in War in Italy, they use to call this "the travels of Italy" like they goes in holiday, and they were really mad against the King (Henri II in 1559) when he decided to put an end to this expeditions,; after two generations of french soldiers was used to go in expeditions there. Then the french cavaliers were used to be called "la furia frenchese" by italians, which still made us very proud. We french bring back from this wars so many artists, so many peace of art, so many technological discoveries applied in war, in architecture.... You italians are the people which we admire the most has french, but absolutely not because of what you do, but because of what you are, your culture, your lands.... everything is so beautiful in your country.
@alexandrelct8262 жыл бұрын
@A. M. I mean that we admire Italy because of its landscape, its "dolce vita", its culture, its architecture, its kitchen, because of catholicism (for me at least), its beautiful womens, its sence of honor. But we less admire you for what you done politicaly or historicaly, I mean that I've got respect for England, Germany or Spain mainly for their historical power that we french fights against during centuries, but for Italia we respect you because your just the most beautiful country and people in Europe, whatever you will do we will admire you I think. French people use to think that France is the most beautiful country in the world or at least in Europe, but trust me, to me we're wrong because in fact we knows that you italians are more beautiful than we are. You understand what I mean? What do you think about it?

Their lands LMAO. It's like to say that someone that descends from Romans owns all the former empire. They brought dark age in Italy, what you see is the job of Renaissance and humanism later, their lands my left foot. LOL Edit: Since it seems like a can't reply to you, i add some more stuff here. I could care less of you at most i'm putting history in the right perspective , granted that you are not a wannabe and a product of pantaloons from court of course. I come from a place that has given birth to Etruscans, Renaissance and Leonardo da Vinci among many other geniuses and i don't certainly envy a Murican who discovered his ancestry on a scam site. LOL Also it looks like you don't now basic history on top of many other things. Charlemagne father of what?? LOL Do you even know where and when Renaissance started?? Lombardy was not "Longobard" at all but Etruscan, Gaulish and of course of Romans who shaped it and made it great with Mediolanum now Milan , not certainly Longobards ( They were Longobards, not "Lombards", you don't even know "Your" historical name..LOL) who brought plague and middle age. Thanks God Renissance fixed their mess.
@bobryant9923 Жыл бұрын
@@alessandrom7181 No, it's like you can't comprehend the difference between THEIR and OUR. Then again, I expect nothing less from a product of peasants. That aside, I could have said OUR if I were a current long time resident of whatever area because, "We the people". Don't be mad that I can trace my lineage to kings and queens throughout ALL of Europe and much of Eurasia. One common one being the father of the Renaissance that you speak of, Charlemagne. Of which, Pepin (my shortest bloodline to him) was King of the Lombards. So yeah, THEIR land.
@alessandrom7181 Жыл бұрын
@@bobryant9923 At most you are the product of jesters from court..LMAO, you don't even know that their name was LONGOBARDS not Lombards, Lombards are the inhabitants of modern Lombardy. LOL Charlemagne father of Renaissance...ahahahahahaah Take a book and get a culture because you missed a lot from history class, jester.
