Mutual Aid is not about giving charity it's about building solidarity with people like ourselves to start a movement a movement against the the system that put us in this situation of struggle we don't put ourselves above them Many of us had been in similar places and we had help we give them the chance to have what we had expecting the best (asking only that they listened to a better way) And ready for anyting

Used this to teach our kids’ environmental group about Mutual Aid. They were truly inspired and it reached them in a way that I can’t as a parent. ❤️

Great video. Very informative and creative. Added to my short documentary playlist! Would it be ok to also link it in the description of one of my videos? It's about the free shop in my city, this would be great to link to explain mutual aid, which is the ideology the shop operates on.

This is amazing! I am wondering if it's possible to use segments of this video interspersed with my explanations for a unit that's going to be shared publicly? I can @ you for sure! I mostly want to add in more commentary so younger kids (5th/6th) are able to understand this. Sorry if these comments are not the place to ask this!

I’m considered right wing and the concept of Mutual aid just sounds like charity to me but this all sounds like programs I would support. Any program that people want to build and fund themselves to help eachother is always a good idea. The “white supremacy” part of this video felt silly to me but the end goals sound like a good idea. It’s also easier to get support because it sounds like mutual aid wouldn’t be fighting for tax dollar funding ( I used to be slightly libertarian so that part really speaks to me) Usually mutual aid is considered progressive left but I don’t consider that a bad thing and if done right you have this “right wingers” support.

While I agree mainstream charities have their flaws but I still think they can be of some use to anarchists. They provide examples of non profit driven services for people.

So being mad about people being priced out of their homes and communities by wealthier people, leaving the previous communities adrift and with no home or help, is as racist as people being sectioned into shitty housing with no real social mobility options all due to their race? Is the logic in the room with us, gorge?
