It’s fun watching Oshi No Ko and seeing the similarities in themes and style between it and Kaguya despite their different premises and tones.

Just remember that Aka Akasaka did Love is War and Oshi No Ko at THE SAME TIME. That means he would draw and write a Love is War chapter in 3 days THEN write an Oshi No Ko chapter with Mengo Yokoyari who did the art within the SAME WEEK. Then when Love is War manga was done he did ANOTHER manga series which is going on right now called Renai Daikou/Love Agency while doing Oshi no Ko at the SAME TIME. This guy is content creating machine.

have you ever thought about making a video what you prefer about manga/manhwa/anime as a medium?

I skipped on oshi no ko because the premise sounded too weird and it was too popular, but now you got me pretty interested

Excellent video. What are your thoughts about the way Akasaka-sensei writes his characters? To me, they feel unnatural for their ages as if he inserts himself into them and in a way makes them have superhuman knowledge about the world around them, or like they are too smart for their own good kind of feeling, or like he is using his characters as a personal mouthpiece to speak through.

Aka's characters are exaggerated, yes. His works aren't aiming for realism.

@@StudioErsatz Exaggerated characters in realistic settings can work, but I feel like in Oshi no Ko where almost every major character has some superhuman trait, it doesn't work especially when being surrounded by NPCs like the director and TV crew members.

Theres a difference between superhuman and skilled brother. Why wouldnt successful people know things about their line of work? It seems more like you're projecting these skilled feats as superhuman compared to yourself perhaps? The only people who do superhuman things are one manga spoiler character and Akane who is seemingly a savant at 2 things. But even Akane pales in comparison to IRL geniuses of today like the creators of the electric car, smartphones, NASA, etc.

Great video except Akane is actually the real love interest. Simple mistake. But a mistake nonetheless. For shame. Boo.
