what i understood from his talk about the last point is that the thing that you're going to do will take place in the future, but it stems from the present and goes back to the past.

Hi. I believe you did an amazing job in clarifying strategic thinking. There's one point I didn't particularly comprehend- the last criteria for strategic thinking, I.e., future orientation but grounded in the past & the present. What does that actually mean ? Thank you .
