You can tell which people in the comments haven't been around since 1987 with all the "it has coils so it must be a plasma gun". Mate, *nearly everything* in the 80s had that ribbed texture, it's one of the easiest high-tech textures to make with manual tools in putty. It doesn't mean a thing!

If I had one and played Orks, I’d run him as a custom unit leader or character that is really cheap. He just has a gun that I have to roll for whether he shoots plasma or flames, like the Bubblechukka.

I thought it could be a plasma gun since it looks a bit like a 50’s laser gun and has a tube leading to a power pack or perhaps gaseous “ammunition” to be ionized. The visor also just looks like something a plasma weilder wears. Flamer also makes a lot of sense.

The hose&tank strongly suggest it should represent a Flamer. Those sort of conventions (lasguns are long and pointy, boltguns are shorter with sickle magazines, plasmaguns have prominent radiator grills, flamers have a tank etc) did not entirely exist yet in RT, but I think the only fair way to run that mini would be to say "Well look, it does have a liquid fuel tank, ergo Flamer."
