I wouldn't mind seeing this concept done again, only this time with all new all different amalgam characters from the first one. Not to give a controversial opinion, but out of all the original amalgam universe characters, I kinda thought only three of them were actually really good. All the other ones either didn't make a lick of sense or were just super redundant.

They should do an animated movie series based of this universe. A four part movie to kick it off starting with DC vs Marvel #1. And what would make this animated series great would be if you got ALL the movie and TV actors from both Marvel and DC to do the voices (unlikely but come on you have to admit that would be sweet.)

Quicksilver and a variety of Brotherhood of Evil mutants were merged with the Metal Men from DC and Magneto was merged with William Magnus, the creator of the Metal Men. This combination funnily enough made Magneto and the Brotherhood mutants into good guys in this universe because Magneto was just trying to protect mutant kind where as his brother was trying to kill them. His brother killed his team of mutants and Magneto ended up making robot versions of them to continue the fight but didn't expect them to actually gain sentience. Its an odd but kind of cool mixture.

Actually Marc Spector and Michael Lane are more similar in that they are both former members of the Marine Corps (both having served two tours of duty), both took up law enforcement jobs after (Marc Spector joined the CIA and Michael Lane joined the GCPD), both lost people close to them (Marc Spector's girlfriend was killed by his brother Randall and Michael Lane lost almost everyone in his life), both turned to a religious calling after facing great adversity (Marc Spector turned to Khonshu after failing to defeat Bushman and seemingly dying in front of the statue Khonshu and Michael Lane turned to the Order of Purity after his involvement in the supposed death of Batman), both have at least once used ancient artifacts (Marc Spector used the Golden Ankh crafted by a time-displaced Hawkeye and Michael Lane uses both the Sword of Sin and the Sword of Salvation as well as the Suit of Sorrows), both have mental disorders (Marc Spector has dissociative identity disorder and Michael Lane has insanity) and both are seemingly superhuman under certain conditions (Marc Spector's speed, strength, reflexes and stamina are linked to the phases of the moon and Michael Lane's Suit of Sorrows gives him enhanced durability, speed, stamina, and strength).

My favorite Amalgam comics were the JLX series. I liked the younger members of the group (Apollo, Firebird, Mercury, Wraith, Runaway, and Nightcreeper) and wished there were more appearances from those guys.

I imagine that if they would do a live action interpretation of the amalgam universe in the MCM/DCEM then the characters would be combinations of characters certain actors portrayed like we would have Bruce Murdock who got blind as a bat by chemicals after running away from the alley his parents were murdered in and he decides to become batdevil since Ben Affleck portrayed both Batman in the DCEU and Daredevil in the Mark Johnson movie and other examples for live action amalgam characters would be Lanternpool for Ryan Reynolds, Banom for Tom Hardy, Jim Jonah Jameson for J.K Simmons and Morbius the living joke for Jared Leto but things like these would only work if the actor portrayed a hero in both Marvel and DC and vice versa so we won’t get amalgams like Norman Vulko, Catwasp, Kilowils (not that we’d get him anyways since the actor’s dead) or Brian Udonta

Should've been Batman and Ironman, amalgam name... Iron Bat, basically iron man but looks like batman, the helmet could have ears and the eyes would b white. The arc reactor would b a white glowing bat. The armour would b a metallic grey and black, mostly grey but like batman the suit would have black boots and maybe gauntlets which could have the spikes, and the suit would still retain the arc reactors in his hands and feet. Also this makes sense as they are both the 'rich kids' of Marvel and DC...

That's why you never want to combine characters just because their abilities are similar. You should combine them based on similar origins, personalities and character types.

I feel like the only reason they choose to blend Bats and Wolvie together is because the X-men were way more popular than the Avengers at the time. If the amalgam universe had been done today instead of 1996, I have a good feeling it would be a different story.

Aaaah! Flame war! There's so many variations of both characters, whose powers constantly fluctuate to suit their villain, that many combinations of the two heroes could have different outcomes. Storm wielding mjolnir for example would be tough to beat.
