Do you recommend eating more protein than carbs every time you eat a meal or a snack? Do you find yourself craving more sweet tasting foods with the anabolic diet? What do you eat that keeps you "regular" or do you have to take something? Sorry if that's too personal. The higher protein diet makes me constipated. I have to take Miralax daily and looking to find something better

You haven’t mentioned any of the inflammation from the carbs and sugar and bad oils. I’m scared of the inflammation coming back. Thoughts on that?

Part 2 please! How many carbs is allowed with the annabolic diet?
@LucyGooseyVault332 жыл бұрын
@@Loverules269 I know you’re asking her but the registered dietitian I went to told me I need to eat fiber rich foods it’s what helps you be regular because I had this issue as a Bariatric patient they teach us protein protein but I went to a separate registered dietitian who wasn’t involved with the bariatric program and she told me you have to eat berries and veggies that are rich in fiber and she very much stressed the berries. It has helped a lot and berries are keto approved a lot of people don’t know that but I researched it. Also I’m interested in this because like she said I shouldn’t feel guilty eating carbs from veggies and fruits it’s not that same as eating cookies and donuts imo. Anyway I hope this helps oh and for reference I was only able to go once a week before I added berries and veggies.

@@LucyGooseyVault33 thank you! I have been eating more berries in the past few months, strawberries and or blueberries daily and I started taking sugar free metamucil every morning which has helped. I was doing optavia for 7 months and it wreaked havoc on my digestive system. I was having to take miralax daily and I believe my body got used to it . I'm just now finally regular again

Girl, I am getting back into deficit eating. I went for a "run" on Sunday & that was a huge no. BUT ok, baby steps to start out, instead of a 5 mile run, start with a walk, then a longer walk, then longer; pick up the pace and before I know it I'll be running again! But I've lost 4 pounds so far! Winning!

New subscriber here... So glad that KZbin suggested your channel! My husband and I are transitioning into a more anabolic lifestyle. I've lost a lot of muscle mass in the last few years due to metabolic changes, medication and poor life choices. Husband has trouble maintaining keto and it's just not as economically adaptable. I lost 150 lbs on keto (yeah, I REALLY let myself go) and don't think I could have done it any other way but it's time to change. The most important change that I've made is increasing my activity level. When you feel better, it makes a transition easier on the mind and body. The main problem I'm having now is getting meal planning to get enough calories and protein without going overboard. It seems that I don't have a "happy medium". Working on it...

Hi Nicole! I had been doing Keto for a year and just recently been doing more low carb but still only keto foods. I had starting running in the spring and have upped how many miles I run. I'm consistently running every other day and I have at least one day a week I run over 13 miles. I also workout on my elliptical on my non running days with lighter weights for now. For the last month I have had trouble with never feeling full and I keep wanting to eat. Do you think it would be more beneficial for me to switch to anabolic to feel full since I workout so much?
@NicoleBurgess3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you are more active than you once were & you're body is responding. Hunger usually means that you aren't eating enough due to your activity OR you're in a pretty large caloric deficit if cutting. You may want to up your calories a tad with what you're currently doing & see if that helps first

I do notice that the lower the carbs are, the fuller you feel. When I was doing keto, I often just felt too full to eat anything. It killed my appetite. In my opinion, this is a benefit if you tend to eat compulsively. Keto is a good way to jump start into eating less. However, I do think it can be hard to maintain long term, because going in and out of ketosis if you eat carbs on occasion is just not helpful long term. I do think for keto you really need to make a commitment and stick to it. Which can be hard, depending on your overall life circumstances.
