Thank you for the video. I was stationed in Panama 1993 & 1994 when I was in the US Army...the first year at Ft Davis, near Colon; the second year in Corozal. I met my Ecuadorian wife there (who lived with her sister who was married to a US Army guy). My first child was born at Gorgas. We lived in La Cresta, in a small but nice basement apartment. I thoroughly loved my time there.

Excellent presentation, thank you. You have a very comfortable delivery style. My wife and I first attended an International Living Conference in Las Vegas. Because of you, we came to a Panama City Conference. I loved it and she was put off by the heat, humidity, and traffic. I regret we didn't allow enough time to travel to Coronado, David, or Boquete. A raving fan from Seattle, Cheers.

Moving is about so much more than the cost of living. In fact, that was one of the lowest priorities on our list. Ultimately though, we did choose Panama. But for reasons other than cost of living (taxation, ease of residency, etc...).

Hi... I took just a bit of exception with your statement about crime concerning Colon. Colon is more safe for some and less safe for others. One should not present themselves as a target in Colon, but the same is true in Bocas Del Torro. And its not about color or ethnicity... as much as it is about Mores (Morality) and Values. The area near Cosco Viejo also has a reputation for perhaps even more organized crime and Tourists are advised not to even enter that area. I am not certain, but I would imagine that with Colon also being an International Trade Free Zone...and Banking Hub.... there are certain levels of crime that simply would not be tolerated there. Just my thoughts from a somewhat different but perhaps Relevant... perspective.

Hi Jessica I liked your Facebook page and I sent a personal message asking a couple questions earlier in the day and I haven't heard anything back. So one of my questions was where can someone find a meal for under $10 that's East Indian cooking number one and number two I was wondering where are you from originally, where were you born or where are your parents born? As you know they have East Indian people that are from the Caribbean as well as India and other countries so I'm just curious where you were born and how did you end up in Panama? Thanks so much! 😁👍

Not sure how someone can say the cost of living in Panama is the same as the U.S. That is very misleading. If you are looking for metropolitan living in Panama City, yes, it will be more expensive than an area like Pedasi..... Spent a month in Pedasi in 2018 and a nice 2 bedroom place w A.C will cost you $650.00 to $850.00. Getting that in the U.S for the most part is not happening. A 2 bedroom home / apt in N.J runs $1500.00 to $2200.00. Food is much cheaper and of higher quality.

@robmasur99233 жыл бұрын
She makes the idea of going to Panama sound way too expensive and not even worth considering. $2600 a month, SS don't even pay that much. You can keep Panama to your self then.
@damesaphira97903 жыл бұрын
If you were planning on moving to Panama to save money, you missed the curve. Even those of us that live here are bitching about the prices of housing and we blame the immigrants that have driven up our housing costs.
@dennishassler6052 жыл бұрын
2600 sounds a bit high to me. That would be my budget range, but if you seek to benefit from living abroad you'll need to live like a LOCAL. Some pay from 400-800/month for rent. The rate she mentions are for expats living in the tourist areas, but back in the barrios rents are lower - more in the average neighborhoods.
