@@seanoleary1979 my cvo makes 170whp and 163wtq, yet very comfy cruising too. sure a busa is faster, but not as comfy and built for two different things, and I have a new truck to and got rid of my 2500 GMC At4, didn't use it. My softtail is a complete build too. Just say you can't afford to buy the cvo and build it, just say your broke.

I've built more winning dragbike motors than hairs on your wife's hairy snatch. If you're going to tell me a 170 hp air cooled motor can be ridden on the street (screw Harley's backward/half-ass liquid-cooled head nonsense) for more than a 1000 miles, you drank the Kool-Aid and need a check-up from the neck-up! As for comfort, the day I'm in need of a bloated 900lb limp-wristed Lazy-Boy/Barco-lounger on 2 wheels will be the day I suck on the gas-pipe!

I think you nailed this review. Have a 24 SG CVO in legendary orange, and I just rode a RG CVO ST today. I didn’t really push it too hard, but I didn’t have access to track mode (HD demo ride bike). In sport mode, it felt the same as my SG. I would much rather have all the bells and whistles and the better paint job…but that is me, and the reason why HD makes both!!!

Good review These are still going for one sticker in So. Cal and they are not sitting on the floor for very long. I did buy one and think it is amazing. I am primarily a Ducati guy but Harley hit it out of the park with this one. My favorite thing about this bike is that it is one of the extremely few CVOs where the paint job does not look like it came straight out of a rap video. This bike kind of reminds me of what could happen if during a drunken one night stand a Ducati Pikes Peak and a Road Glide decide to hook up and ended up spawning.

It's the other way around. The cam on the ST is the 511 and on the VVT is the 545. Cam lift doesn't mean anything. The real difference is 30 vs 32 teeth sprocket they put on the ST which makes it a bit snappier.

When you can almost get a Gold Wing DCT and an 2023 CBR1000RR-R SP for the same price as this Harley Davidson, and then have two awesome and reliable bikes, the choice seems quite clear. And if you must have a V-Twin, The KTM RC8-R is probably the best bike to own, they seems to only increase in value too, or just get a perfect example of an Ducati 1199 Panigale. It's not. Dyno numbers are same torque and 5hp difference. The biggest difference is torque in the vvt starts early and doesn't drop like the ST

If you're looking for performance, you're not really looking for a Harley Davidson. Something like a Triumph Rocket with 180 horses would outrun this so hard it's not even funny. The Storm has what, 180 horsepower now? And they're roughly in the same category - muscle cruisers. The Rocket is also vastly better looking than this weird semi-batwing variation.

In the motorcycle world no point in comparing harleys to others. Plenty of bikes faster or with more power. That's not what Harley is about. That said, this model of Harley ain't for me either. The bat-wing isn't just weird - it's ugly. And some bat-wings look great. More proof that leadership of harley needs to get the boot. But the more harley drifts away from their core with modernization, (computer chips, code, gaggles of electronic features along with eye-watering prices),..the more market share they loose. Their base loves the sound and feel. The raw'ness. My dad had one. Nothing else like them. On a highway trip, they're hypnotic. I'm an old guy now who's owned everything including the old large two stroke road bikes and I still appreciate Harley. But not their current direction or leadership. Yes, they've added more power to satisfy the base just like every other vehicle corp does, but it was never about competing with other bike brands. Just performing better for the brand. Sadly, their luck is running out and it's sad when icons go down due to poor leadership. The idiots just dropped their gate-way bike; the sportster. A model intended to bring people in with a much lower price. Or for people of smaller stature or females who'd like to ride. Poor leadership decision.
