The Holy Bible is a holy library. It is not a single book but rather a collection of many sacred books. It is more than scriptures; it contains history recorded by many authors. It spans from 4000 BC to about AD 95. The Old Testament foretells the coming of Jesus Christ, while the New Testament describes Jesus’s birth, life, death, and Resurrection. Both books tell of His life, mission, and sacred role as the Son of God and Savior of the World. Latter-day Saints believe in the Bible as other Christians do. They treasure the Ten Commandments and the words of Christ.

The Bible is the most amazing, inspired, miraculous book to ever exist! In my prayers for answers, I asked God "how could light have been created on day one, but the stars not until day 4?" God first led me to Jason Lisle's research, but now I find even atheist scientists have proved that ionized particles that emit their own light and heat far predate the formation of stars. The oldest form of light in the universe was not stars, but light from these ionized particles. The order of creation has been verified scientifically, and is correct! Moses could not have known this when the OT was written. Only God knew this. Amazing! And we only knew this recently! Praise God, the Bible is truly inspired, and is the unerring, irrefutable words of God Himself. LOVE the Bible. And all of archaeology, other ancient civilizations records, and science have served to verify the incredible authenticity of the Bible. No other book has ever done this, because only the Bible (or the Torah, which is the same collection of books) can claim this. Amen and Hallelujah!

From 95 AD, all of Christ's apostles were either killed or in John's case, they just disappeared. And the disappearance of John sparked the Great Apostasy, where the doctrine was either mixed up or lost because anyone who tried to spread it in later years like Martin Luther or William Tyndale, was attacked for their beliefs in having the word of God accessible to everyone.
