I am going to try this today! I think I have had undiagnosed ADD my entire life, so I tend to get hyperfocused and lose track of time or else I am trying to do 3 things at once. I do better when I make lists and give myself strict time limits for each activity, but here lately I lose track of time and it blows the whole schedule to bits. Pomodoro....here I come! Worth a shot!

Happy to hear that you'll try this out Beth! I have also dealt with issues with ADD throughout my life, so that's why I have been so drawn to the Pomodoro Technique. Having a ticking clock in the background helps me stay focused on the task. And like you said, it's easy to get sucked into trying to do 3 different things at once.

I enjoy watching the way you present your ideas, the graphics are great. I remember the information better when I'm watching a video than when I've read a book on the subject.

I have a question. Are there any videos for sr. citizens with ADHD inattentive for sorting, purging, organizing, &/or donating over 40 years of accumulated stuff using the Pomodoro method? I get stuck trying to figure out benchmarks for each 25 minute session. Can you help? I’ve watched several YT vids on the Pomodoro method & yours is great! Hoping you can help! Thank you!

I did not understand the part about the pomodoro not being split up into more than one segment?

Wow never looked at it that way with a timer! Tks....ALSO....Noticed you mentioned a name like Cirilo? Well as you can see my name is Cyrilla (Sir-IL-La) LOL. Okay I also noticed you mentioned a task or name Parkinson's? Why that name? It caught my attention because my husband has Parkinson's Disease.

Hope this technique is helpful to you Cyrilla. Re: Parkinsons...to be honest, I get confused about this as well sometimes. There is a link in the description box to a video about Parkinson's LAW, which is basically a rule of thumb where the longer you give to complete the task, the more time it will take to complete it. I will publish a video on Friday that goes into more detail about this idea.
