This new line up is excellent. After using the CCS version, I'm switching from my previous pad line over to the HDO CCS. I absolutely LOVE them.

Why change the color coding from the original CCS pad line? Orange and blue are opposite in the standard CCS line. This has got to create a lot of confusion.

Lake Country will eventually discontinue the old Cut Back CCS Line to help eliminate some of this confusion. Their SDO/HDO lines are their best orbital pads moving forward and since adding the CCS technology to this pad line it outperforms the old series. Eliminating a six foam pad series with a three foam pad series going forward will help eliminate some of the past confusion. The Orange pad is the same foam from the Cut Back “CCS line”, and they just added in a more aggressive cutting foam with the Dark Blue. This dark blue is significantly different from the light blue in the old Cut Back CCS Pads.

@@autogeek that will definitely make it easier. Luckily my old pads are nearing end of life anyway. Must be time for a full replacement!

Great video. Quick question. Would the blue pad leave any da haze ?

So this was a little confusing. You can use blue and go directly to black, so why buy orange?

From a clear coat context it would be best to use a orange IF you don't need the aggression of the blue foam. So for light polishing the orange pad would probably work. Heavier polish blue and black maybe. For instance a car that is 5+ years old and never has been polished. Neither are the blue and orange overly aggressive foam pads to begin with if the paint is trashed. That would be wool and microfiber territory and usually a 2+ step. I look at the blue and orange has basically one step pads, soft or hard paint/light to medium-hard polishes. If i'm going to do a true 2 step i would cut with a fiber pad and finish with a foam pad.
