Check out Sam Shamoun's video on the topic. He goes in-depth explaining that although God favored Jacob, he did loved Esau as well. It's important to keep in mind that the Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek. So a lot of words get lost in translation, because they don't have an exact counterpart in English. I'd recommend giving Sam's video a watch, it's incredibly well done.

The Gospel is marketed primarily as a "get out of hell free" card. We also preach about repentance and being "good" and abstaining from sin in THIS life, but the only benefit that is center stage is eternal life, or at least NOT spending eternity in Hell. This is because we let too many things distract us from the fruit of the Spirit. I believe this is why many Christians aren't really happy in this life. If we were, we would joyfully express the gloriousness of God and everything that is to be gained by following Christ in THIS Life.

The lack of honest debate on this subject is an ugly scar on the mainstream church and current Bible scholarship, I cannot find any decent attempt at refuting this that is even close to taking it seriously and clearly looking at the Bible verses that support the idea of God saving all eventually.

There is very little defense against it. There is defense against universal salvation, that is "all will be saved" Rev 21:8 (second death) and Jude 1:12 (twice dead people). But if these people are singled out, why are they different than most? This is because they are a subset of other non-believers. The Restitution/restoration has so many verses for it. But if I was Satan it would be the concept I would MOST want to get rid of, because if people knew it they would see God as merciful and kind and would potentially flock to him. It also makes people angry, like the Prodiclgal son's brother and Jonah, they feel angry that God would be merciful to them when they "did so much bad" but that's the thing, so did we. God's mercies are new each day Lam 2:22. Why should they only be for us! If we had a heart like God's we would want all to be saved 2 Tim 2:4. And would rejoice at the promise of restitution! I just hope I'm able to vindicate God's name in this lifetime for people, because while the Restitution in the future is good, Restitution of our lives beginning NOW is better. I look forward to the better resurrection, the resurrection of my soul to be like God's. I will be glad when I awake in his likeness. (Sorry, this subject gets me excited. I hope you have a great day!)

I too believe in the restoration of all things, because all things at creation were described by God as good, therefore not to be discarded, but restored. But I also believe that there are and will continue you to be, those who exercising their free will, will oppose God’s plan with all their might and despise God’s mercy toward them, and would consider living in restored creation as pure hell. I believe God honors their choice and will not force them to live in his presence, as nice as that sounds. That’s my 2 cents.

You were in seminary before you had even read the New Testament? What made you want to go into seminary?
@JohnChaffeeTalks10 ай бұрын
Perhaps I misspoke. I had read the New Testament numerous times before seminary. However, when the conventional understanding of Christianity in the West does not want to acknowledge certain passages, you end up glossing over them when you read them. Almost like self-preservation, you do not let your mind go where the text actually leads. It was after seminary that I realized some of the most important and influential passages about the reconciliation of all things were completely overlooked!

To Restore: to "re" means to get back to own again. Store means "a quantity or supply of something kept for use as needed." Psalm 23: the Lord is my shepherd; provider, sustainer, provision for everything in my life. To Restore in scripture means that our faith/supply has run out. All hope is lost. No peace of soul that Yeshua left with us. All spiritual, physical and mental wholeness; Shabbat Shalom.

We also must remember that politics also was a fact between Latin Rome and Greek Constantinople. Roman bias against the Greeks may also have affected their translations from Greek. Again Protestant bias chose Latin to translate into English hence their punitive rather than Restorative attonement for ALL. And Hell? Go to the original Greek and it will show that it is refinement for an age (not always) and when complete Jesus the Christ hands All things back to God. (Revelations) Evangelical fundementalism though sincere has misrepresented the Gospel and as a result so many many have left the church. But no matter God the Father wills that All will be reconciled to Himself. God does NOT fail for He is omnipotent. Universalism the ultimate expression of love and grace. God's blessings to ALL
@luxither73548 ай бұрын
When people begin to understand that Restorationism is not Universalism, it becomes a heck of a lot easier for people to say "I like the idea." Restorationism is not the Origenist idea that all, eventually, will be given the benefits of salvation, but that all will benefit from the Love of God, in a full restoration of their nature before the Fall. This is the view of all Greek speaking Christian Theologians by the 8th century, where most scholars close the Patristic era. Isaac the Syrian describes it well in his Ascetical Homilies, and Gregory of Nyssa, when actually translated properly, conveyed this idea, albeit in a very conveluted named (he wrote most of his works as rhetorical works, not systematic or dogmatic treatises, which is why his language if fluid and, if read wrong, could be seen as arguably heretical to his own contemporaries, such as his use of Adoptionist language in his 'Catechetical Discourses'). As you've pointed out, the Doctrine is Biblical too. What's also important to point out is that is it probably the only way to understand the General Resurrection as just, without having to appeal to the incomprehensible nature of God. The General Resurrection, that all will be given new, perfect bodies, makes no sense if then those people are then all condemned to some sort of Hell by God. Why resurrect them at all, if they deserved such a punishment? The only answer I've seen is either an appeal to Thomistic morals, which are arguable, or that we cannot understand God's plan. Um, hello? God became man could become like God, as Athanasius Teaches. He wouldn't make our Salvation, by doing this, incomprehensible to us. Why would he? While we cannot understand the aspects of God's specific actions, we can certainly understand his logic in relation to us.

So, I look every few months to see who is talking about this (the Restitution of all things as a doctrine) the first/oldest version is by Andrew Jukes, he wrote a similar thesis (a letter) in the mid 1800s. What I find significant is that in each of these, you would assume plagiarism with how much they overlap. Yet, most authors have never heard of each other. I believe this is because the spirit is leading them into understanding. Some go into far greater detail, all have doctrinal differences that change minor parts of their understanding. But what is amazing to me is that this is a doctrine that was lost for so long. You can't find it in the church "fathers", it isn't canonical by almost any church as a whole. Yet, Peter says it was stated by ALL the prophets (Moses even talks of the Restitution at Sinai). This concept, Resurrection of the Just and Unjust Acts 24:15, is throughout all scripture as well and is the Restitution of All Thing's for all people. My question for people is, if we rule and reign with Messiah in the 1000 year millennium where Satan can "deceive the nations no more" Rev 20:3 who do we rule and reign over if everyone is in Hell? Or is Hell actually the concept Sheol, resting place of the dead. The concept is cross referenced in Acts 26:22 to Psalms 16:10. So if all are being preserved in the grave (Hades in Greek) until the judgment when Jesus says the people of Nineveh (non believers) will be there in the end (Matt 12:41). So, if all scripture is God given 2 Tim 3:16, and Psalm 67 states ``1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us 2 so that your ways may be known on earth , your salvation (this word Salvation is Yeshua, the Hebrew word/name Jesus) among all nations. (This is Goyim, nations not Israel, ergo Ethnos in Greek)3 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples (am) praise you.4 May the nations(goyim) be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. 5 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you.6 The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.7 May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him" and this is the Restitution, when "YEHOVAH will restore a pure language, so all nations can call on YEHOVAH!" Zephaniah 3:9. All the prophets spoke of it, and it's coming back! We're hearing it again, in whispers and, as he said, murmurs! People speak of it as the Spirit of God works on their hearts! And we're seeing the other works of end times before the Restitution is at hand, we're seeing Nahum 1:15 "15 Behold, on the mountains The feet of him who brings good tidings, Who proclaims peace! O Judah, keep your appointed feasts, Perform your vows. For the wicked one shall no more pass through you; He is utterly cut off." For most of Christianity's history war has been proclaimed, we have never known real peace, "I am for peace, but they are for war!" And we have chased our tails. In fear, "6“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, BUT THE END IS NOT COME YET!" Matt 24:6. Now we see peace preached, people are losing their lust for violence, and we will see 2 Theslelonians 5, "peace" then the Lord will come like a thief. Like the flood in Noah's time. But this isn't a destruction like Noah, it will be a dark time like Jeol said in Joel 2. "A dark terrible day" when all our Beasts (false governments as stated in Daniel and depicted in Revelations) and false prophets will fall, and the Great Harlot, all things that draw us away from God will crumble and we will be left bare and people will cry "8Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore?” Psalm 77:8. But Lamentations 3: 31 “For the Lord will not cast off forever. 32 Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies.” Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” He said he will offer Salvation to the nations and that “every eye will see him!” Will he be slack in his promises? Of course not! Will he damn Billions for being born at the wrong time? Or too far away from the message? Or because there were not enough to preach? Or because the hearts of men waxed faint, or unloving? Is God relying on US to do this by our own works? Or does he have a better, more merciful, more perfect plan that offers something that is in his heart, 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth… 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” Is he a ransom for some? For only those born at a convenient time? only for those who weren't deceived by the Devil (as is implied in Revelations 18, when the Devil deceives the nations no more). Is God's Promise of ransom slack? GOD FORBID! He will give all a chance in the Resurrection of the Just (believers) and unjust (non-believers). When all deception is peeled away. When all evil is gone and God is seen for who He is, a God whose love endures forever! A Redeemer, our Salvation, the same yesterday, today, and forever! Behold God is my Yeshua! He will restore a pure language so we can all know Him, not our earthly idea of him. Then he will Wipe all tears away! Not because He brainwashes us, or makes us drones. But because all who DO DIE chose that death with a clear mind and conscience. They are destroyed with Hell and death. If Hell is destroyed in Revelations 20:14 then there's no place for unbelievers to go. They will be destroyed, gone. No eternal punishment (another subject entirely) just destroyed. And we will know it wasn't because God wasn't merciful. It wasn't his lack of love that made them twice dead. If twice dead is a special condition for people who rejected the holy spirit's call to salvation, a call that can only be answered if there is sanctification of our spirit and belief In the truth. Then what of all those who weren't told? They are prodigal Sons in the end. We need to be the servants who celebrated the son's return, not the bitter brother. Hallelujah! God is merciful and wonderful! Hopefully, if you read this, this will be refreshing to your spirit. I know writing this filled me with joy! This is the beautiful promise! And any chance I get to share it boils my heart over in thankfulness for the love and works of God.

No, as the gospels clearly state many times an everlasting fire, that is, one without end. Men’s rationality leads to such a conclusion, but it is not so. The very first thing that Jesus preached was repentance, before mercy or love as we would rather think. We have led ourselves astray, see how scripture speaks to the everlasting fire, which is undeniably very upsetting to our souls. I only went about halfway through Matthew, but here’s some scripture I found pertinent. No matter what rhetoric or empathy man may employ, it’s not about how convincing an argument is, it’s about the objective truth about how God has imparted his justice to us. And from that, such follows: Matthew 3:12 “unquenchable fire” Matthew 5:20 “you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven” Matthew 7:23 “I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity” Matthew 10:15 “it shall be more tolerable for the land of sodom and gomorrha” Matthew 10:28 “fear not them that kill the body, and cannot kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:34 “Do not think that I am come to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword” Matthew 13:30 “Let both grow until the harvest, and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers: Gather up first the cockle, and bind it into bundles to burn, but gather the wheat into my barn” Matthew 13:42 “And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth” There is much more, much much more, especially regarding the everlasting fire and the immense sufferings. Christ did not proclaim a life of ease and no tribulation, he said “Take up your cross and follow me”. We must accept the Grace of God and allow it to pour forth into the world, our denial of such a necessity will bring about eternal damnation. God Bless you my friend, I hope this proves helpful!

There are approx 100. Research that question. 👍🏼 All you need know is the truth that Jesus freely loves and made us for himself and through himself in his own image, so that we may love as one, God and neighbor, on earth as it is in heaven, you shall love! Jesus, the perfect image of our Father, eternally loves the world with forgiveness and reforms the unforgiving to pay this grace forward, the truth setting them free, indeed. Jesus sees our Father and is like him and we shall be like him when we see him as he is, the true way of life, for whom by whom through whom to whom and in whom is the way unto our Father, from whose love there is no separation, but in whom we have our being, breathed by the Spirit who guides the hearts and footsteps of man into all truth, so that God may be all in all..

Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.

@@cs_b6432 For it is appointed unto a man once to die and then the judgement. No second chance after death! You are calling God a liar. Jesus is Lord God Almighty. ((Jesus made salvation conditional upon belief)). Hence the urgency of spreading the gospel message. According to your Universalism the great commission is totally uneccessary. The millions of people who have died to spread the gospel died for nothing. According to your theology Satan is working overtime for nothing because everyone gets a second chance.

The last few sentence you wrote shows you're not really familiar with universalism Judgment after death means to you eternal torturing, with no escape. Even tho romans 11 says God put all under unbelief/disobedience ,so that he may have mercy on all. God is not involved in wishful hoping, he will accomplish his good pleasure 1 Timothy 2:3-4 I would advise you to become a Calvinist or Universalist, because the free grace/arminian/etc god can't save all people even tho he clearly states he wants to LOL I was a free gracer before i became universalist, but i realised the free grace god can't fulfill 1 Timothy 2:3-4 (and other verses) so i converted to believing in the living God,whos the savior of all men. If everyone's going to be saved that means everyone's going to hell first, or almost everyone.

If by hell you mean the wrathful love of God that will burn off all the sin and malice we have accumulated!

Hell is another myth. God prevented Adam and Eve from taking of the tree of life - man was prevented from becoming an immortal being.

Are you hinting that the reconciliation of “all things” means that all people will be saved? If so, that won’t agree with the other passages in the New Testament that speak so clearly about a place prepared for unrepentant sinners.

Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: (book not in chronological order ) Christ returns one time in the future. However, there are several different visions of His return shown from different perspectives in the Book of Revelation. Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse. Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb. Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present? The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ. He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18. The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15. The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13. He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet? He comes on a horse in chapter 19. Chapter 20? Does He come with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1? (The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.) There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46. Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked before that time? Are there wicked angels in the pit in Rev. 9:11? If the beast "ascends" from the pit in Rev. chapter 11, where was the beast before that time? Does your view agree with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness? Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels were previously bound in some manner. Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book. The principle of "Recapitulation" means there are multiple visions of His return.

Roman's and 1st Corinthians, all future tense, promises. Time frames, now and then, Paul prophesy that basically says he will live in the time of "then". The mystery occurs at a future date. Chapter 16 1st Corinthians is Paul saying goodbye in the prophesy. Corinth means place of the peak , the apex of time. 2nd Corinthians 1:1 Paul announces Timothy, a prophesy from 1st Timothy 1:18 2nd Corinthians 1:9 Paul says we "had" past tense the sentence of death, and verse 10 who delivered us from so great a death. So this is written to be read in real time, when the dead rise incorruptible, Paul is with them, the 144 thousand are the saints mentioned, Paul and Timothy are the two witnesses, he's also "a lamb" Christ is "The Lamb" The evidence is overwhelming when it's read in real time. You'll find many past tense phrases indicating the saints have been made known the mysteries, they have received earnest of the spirit, they are harvest workers, Paul's duty is judgement of the church, he is the mouth of two or three witnesses, and if he come again he will not spare. Paul has not yet made his third visit to Corinth. The progress is carried out in the names of the cities, Ephesus mean new town, newness of life comes in ephesians, colossia means city of refuge, we are translated into Christ kingdom, Thessaloniki means victory over falseities, we are sons of the day no longer ignorant. I cam go on and on with incredible understanding God has given me through dreams and visions and just pointing me to clues I would have never considered. This is what you are talking about, the saints have are inheritance with them, this hope has come forth as it is in all the world,(but not when Paul wrote this) its the harvest that is this hope that has come. Paul's gospel is a microcosm of how the harvest proceeds, basically a playback, and it all happens first. Praise God his mystery is hidden inside of a mystery in plain site, with great plainness of speech he has informed us. It's such a incredible thing. When are the promises yes and amen 2nd Corinthians right where it should be also its the day of salvation. We are not yet born again, we may be bornagain believers but until you see the kingdom of God your not yet born again. The promises are true, as long as we don't depart the faith like the galations. They mixed law and grace and fell from grace, their name is a mixture of Greeks a Gauls a mixed race, which galatians is the only letter or city Paul actually shows up in. Why because they departed. The same reason he's threatened Corinth with. It's very simple to read Paul's gospel, it's following the precepts that are like stepping stones through Paul's gospel. God bless you brother you look like a cool guy I'd love to talk with . Linn Yes it is the restoration of all things.

Nice. Next you will discover that God is sovereign, and Free Will is a mans doctrine. God controls all, He makes the honorable and dishonorable, He molds the clay, He hardens the heart, and He does it all for a reason.
@Lovingkindness.10 ай бұрын
And the reason is: lovingkindness! Man views God through the poison of “knowledge of good and evil”. God is spirit and you can only comprehend God by spirit given us when Christ ascended. Christ saved all sinners is one such understanding. Religious flesh will never get that simple truth.

hyperbole is commonly used in scripture, by the prophets, jesus, and the apostles. know the difference.

Thank you for your thoughts. However, I don't think that, "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive." (1 Corinthians 15:22) is hyperbole, nor any other passage that says "all." Jesus talks about the regeneration/renewal of all, Peter preaches about the restoration of all, and Paul writes of the reconciliation of all. @@JohnChaffeeTalks correct--"in christ" all shall be made alive. "all", until then are in adam. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself----yet we are commanded to "be reconciled to God." colossians 1:23 ...the gospel was preached to every creature under heaven...(all creation)....go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.... jesus, like the prophets, spoke in poetic figurative, exaggerated language. everything that was corrupted by sin, resulting in death, will be restored, and given to the saints. pretty sure that hell will remain. there will be a new heaven and a new earth for the "new man". luke 24:27 all the prophets, in all the scriptures. hmmmm? mark 1:5> all the country of judea, and all of jerusalem went out to him and were baptized. i think not (pharisees) i could go on and on. ......psalm 50:10....and the cattle on a thousand hills.
