I have a jumbled collection of this tool and its stamps, similar to yours. I got my first one on clearance at Michael's on a whim, never having seen it before. I tried it and loved it and snapped up as many other variations and kits as I could manage. I made a series of Christmas cards by stamping out a big wreath with sprigs and boughs on a sheet of paper, trimming it down into four panels, and voila, I had panels for my holiday cards that year. A hint: I find the centre of the paper with a ruler and draw perpendicular lines through the middle in a light pencil. Then I place my gear/wheel. There are arrows on the tools, which you can line up on the pencil lines. This way you can reposition the tool if you bump it or lift it for any reason, and you have a better chance of re-aligning it. It is definitely a bit of a zen thing; you get what you get and you can't always know how it will turn out!

Hi Lindsay, I love this idea for a new series, forgotten stash treasures - right up my street. I have this ensemble, might only have used it once but I want to dig it out and play with it again after seeing this! Had it had a magnetic form of securing the central piece it would have done better. I took a hiatus from crafting for a few years but now I want to get back into it again, and use what I have rather than buying new trend items that have limited uses. Happy Christmas and looking forward to your content in 2023, xx

I bought this years ago and was annoyed with using it so I brought it to my class and my 1-3rd Exceptional Ed students loved it! One would hold the piece another would stamp! They loved it! I made it a center and it really helped their fine motor skills! I left it when I moved. Hopefully it’s still being used!

I have one of these tool sets (with the round set of "gears/cogs") and I really like it! Thanks for re-introducing people to it! I remember seeing your youtubes back when you DIYed a makeshift version of this tool with, literally, a popsicle stick, a cottage cheese container lid, tape and a stamp block. You are sooooo creative! :) Then a short while later I was able to get a good deal on some of the Inkadinkadoo stamps made to use wih the tool and intended to make my own tool, too. But before I got around to it I picked up an actual tool set at a garage sale for a song! I haven't had problems with my centering gear/cog slipping around on the paper, but it still has its foam base on it and some "grip". When that goes perhaps I'll put a bit of that plastic, non-slip shelf liner from the dollar store on the bottom of it. Also, most of the time when I stamp I cover the whole of an 8 1/2" x 11" paper and cut it into four A2 card fronts. Sometimes I center the tools on the long side of the paper and that looks great. (In fact, I think I like it better than centering the tool on the paper. :) lol ) If I was making 5" x 7" cards, I'd cut two from the 8 1/2" x 11" paper and save the remnants for embellishments on another card. But I have also free-handed some card fronts on pre-made A2 cards and gotten compliments on how pretty they were.

I have some of the stamps, but not the gear parts. Love how the card turned out. When using foil, I sometimes use a different color to do the touch ups when foiling on tape. It's a also nice way to use up the leftovers when using foil with the laminator. This is going to be a great series.

This had caught my attention when it came out too, but I'm so glad that I never opted to get it. I don't use my Cutterpede that much any longer but I still have it on hand and it was my go to trimmer for years. I picked up the combo WRMK scoreboard/trimmer that I use now. I love that mega mount but I can't find mine...pretty sure my husband moved boxes into the basement and that rocker mount got taken down there. I love it for those larger background stamps. It drives me crazy that you can get a large set of varied sizes of those make-up oval brushes but the same items branded as a craft supply costs three times the amount for a lesser number of brushes. I found the same thing with tiny needle tipped glue/paint bottles too. The ones sold for crafts ran about $4 per bottle but I could pick up 10 of them sold in the e-cigarette category for holding the various cigarette flavor oils and I got 10 for $7...same darn thing.

Yep I have the Gear stuff too and many of the little stamps. I think I’ve played with them but not sure I ever completed a project. I probably have several “play pieces“ that could be turned into backgrounds! I have that cutter too! The original one (like you have) was great for me because it was the only blade slide type cutter that would cut straight edges for me. After many years of use, replaced blades & cutting strips, I think I dropped it and broke the arm or something. I purchased another one from same company and couldn’t get it to cut straight for the life of me! Found out they had changed manufacturers and there was a definite quality issue. Anyway- cute & fun card! I hope your daughter loves it! Happy Birthday to your girls!

OMGee…I have a set or two of InkaDinkaDoo stamps with the circular guides. The designs you can create are so neat.
