What's your favorite color and what does it say about your personality? The uniqueness of each human mind makes it almost impossible to have a set of rules that applies to everyone. However, the preferences we have can be linked to our overall behavior. According to color psychology, color influences our perceptions and can cause certain emotions in people. Colors can also enhance the effectiveness of placebos. In this video, we will be talking about the characteristics of our personalities based on what our favorite color is.

Random fact worth noting: the whole pink for girls and blue for boys is actually relatively recent. It used to be the exact opposite, believing pink was a stronger color associated with passion while blue was more feminine because it was more soothing and submissive. Another relatively recent change is black, which now we often associate with high tier, high tech, top of the line goods. For the longest while we saw white the same way instead, and black being a dour working man's color, but then once simple black finish with fine gold lettering replaced white with polka dots in one ad, bam, folks were happily buying up silky black satin like it was the sudden height of fashion.

My favourite colours are green💚, white🤍, orange🧡 and (light) blue🩵. And here's the reason why ( my perspective) : Green 💚- because it represent greenery, nature and (natural) beauty. It is also my peace colour or whatever you call it. White🤍 - because it symbolises peace and calmness. I like white clouds in the sky and that's the primary reason why one of my fav colour is white. Orange🧡 - because it symbolises enthusiasm. The main thing that made me fall for this colour is the orange horizon in the evening which makes my heart flutter. This is actually eerie. My favorite color as a kid was yellow, and I can tell you I was an incredibly happy child. I had a rough teenage, but I was very artistic and expressive and loved trying new things. Favorite color was purple. After high school it was black, and I was highly depressed and lonely. I've finally finally dug myself out of that, and have managed to find happiness after 5 years. My favorite color is yellow.

Actually science class taught me MANY years ago, that black is the presence of all color (heavy saturation), & white is the absence of all color. Technically white is the only non-color.

As an art student, I can tell you that, even though Black or White are 'scientifically' non-colors (depending on your base (is it a white sheet of paper or a black screen ? It changes everything !)), they 'culturally' are. Black, grey, and white are colors, just like red, blue, green, yellow, etc. I also believe that shades are colors (ex : pink is a shade of red, cyan a shade of blue (culturally, not scientifically of course) ; they're still all colors) Yes, I also studied colors of light in high school in details, I'm glad I've got these different perspectives about it (:

I fully agree with this! I’m usually stereotyped as liking pink, I have long hair, quite girly, calm and social. I can honestly see why, but still, just because I wear a pink jacket everyday when I go to school doesn’t mean it’s my favorite- Also, there’s this guys in my class who has his favorite color as pink, he’s a real sweetheart and hes not gay FYI. I also hate how people also stereotype ‘soft’ people as liking pink. (People who are nice, sweet, kind, vulnerable etc.) like, just because they act that way doesn’t mean they like pink. But on the other hand I was talking about, soft/pastel/dull pink. Neon pink is a different story, and that’s the pink everyone stereotypes the most.

I dunno... those traits in particular kinda described me pretty well. I kinda related to everything except for the part that I operate well under pressure. but then again... I guess it depends on what kind of situation that we're talking about.. different situations can cause different kinds of pressure. for example, maybe I could be good at keeping my cool in a situation where am required to defuse a bomb, but I could be bad in arguments... I personally find myself getting kinda absorbed into emotional situations. like, I don't really seem to handle it very well... if everyone else around me happens to be angry, then I get VERY angry too and find myself getting lost within that emotion. although, I have personally found that I've got BIG symptoms associated with high functioning adhd... am actually FULL of constantly clashing and shifting emotions(with intense concentration problems), but despite all of that... I kinda do see myself being relatively good at being calm and level headed. kinda hard to explain just what it is that I really mean here. . .
