The mix of English print pieces in the car is because the manufacturers believe in “parts bin” technology. That wiper stalk was probably used in almost every Nissan vehicle made that year. You’ll find a very high percentage of Japanese people understand quite a lot of English as it is a common second language around the world.

Nice car, I’m cracking up that you had to explain that the manual transmission gears are in the same place on RHD and LHD!
@andydhillon19775 ай бұрын
Why's that? Most people aren't familiar with RHD vehicles.

Because those controls ar produced in one factory, its economical to make japanese market aware of these basic letters (as japanese use a lot of borrowed english words, with japanese pronunciation, but written in katakana, which makes you think it is still japanese but in fact they are already english)

No way that's correct. A simple google search shows only one dealer in the NW and in very limited numbers. The bean counters aren't going to retool for a handful of cars. I would guess parts bin.

Imported a JDM Mitsubishi J53 a few years ago. Had no problems adapting at all, other than the side mirrors being way out front on the fenders. Of course, being topless probably made it easier.

Right or left drive cars? A friend of mine traveled to New Zeeland 30 years ago. Over there the rule is, or at least was, the person passing on coming traffic has the right of way and when you see this maniac approaching you at a high rate of speed in your lane, you are required to do what they call hanging a wheel on the edge of the ditch so there is room for all three vehicles .He didn't , totaled his first rental car and it was declared his fault for not hanging a wheel. Left hand drive works for me.
