Some of you asked for it... so here it is... all our dirty laundry. This is the un-glamorous side of full-time travel and camping along with a few "pro-tips" and frustrations. This is what it looks like behind the scenes... if you don't watch it, we totally understand :-P

Love the glamorous lifestyle you lead behind the scenes . That shot of Sarah goofing off after putting the dead solar panel up on the roof had us in stitches . We have a successful "de-camp" (Is that a word ?) if no-one dies . Arguing and yelling at each other is part of packing up LOL Fattrucker

You really should start reviewing products. This would give you products for free and also you will always have something new to play with. All while sharing valuable information to others using them for the same thing. You do such a great job of producing and editing video that it would be a “Win Win” :).

Nice one guys, enjoyed it hearing about the behind the scenes stuff. Have you looked into diesel heaters for keeping warm? In Australia it works out more cost effective to run than Gas, and much less risk of asphyxiation from carbon monoxide as its a closed circuit system (exhaust and air intake for combustion side of things is plumbed to the outside of living space), ive seen people set these up for portable use.

Just in case you're wondering, I dig the logistics videos more than anything else. The fancy videos of amazing sights are cool too, and I'm sure they pay the bills. As someone who does a lot of this kind of thing (in the summer, non-permanent), I love seeing how you set up, break down, the challenges, and the little details. Comparing them to what we do and stealing the small tips and ideas from the more experienced is awesome. So, more of these please :)

Can't tell you how much we love your videos. We currently camp every chance we get and have a nice pull behind trailer. While is it nice, especially to have AC in Florida, you have shown us a whole new world we didn't even know existed and are looking to be part of. Thank you for your honesty and for not always glamming over the trials of the overland lifestyle. Instead of looking for a new RV, we're seriously considering a trailer and RTT. Adventure on my friends, adventure on. What a glorious childhood for your sweet daughter!

Love the videos! Thanks for all the hard work. If possible, I’d store propane canisters vertically. In a fire they can become torpedos, so point them up. Also, if there is a pressure release valve, it might vent liquid instead of gas. I’m not an expert, so maybe check with the tank manufacturer.
@LifestyleOverland
@LifestyleOverland 5 жыл бұрын
We did a lot of research and the worst that can happen is the pressure release valve could leak liquid if it becomes over-pressurized. We've never had any issues with it. If it is in a fire, it means we've most likely wrecked and it could be in any position at that point. In any event it takes intense heat and zero pressure release valve to make it turn into a rocket.

Have you tried using an electric blanket under your sleeping pad? They draw a low wattage, nothing a Jackeroo inverter couldn't handle overnight, if you just keep it on the lowest temp setting. You'd be amazed how warm you get. But instead of buying one from Wallyworld, get those pads you use for keeping your tanks from freezing in winter. Available at RV stores. They draw really low power, and easily installed on your sleeping platform. A way to keep your inner tent poles from condensation, is to spray it with that fake hair stuff you can buy at dollar stores in the party section. Or use those insulation noodles for water pipes, you can get at hardware stores for cheap.

Itll probably take forever for you to get this, but I have been having the same issue with exporting and freezing in Premiere Pro 19 as well. I found my issue was mostly due to using mixed formats, specifically AVCHD would freeze everytime when importing or exporting, but I have since gone back to mp4 and things have cleared up significantly. Not sure if this will help, but I thought I would share. Love the videos, look forward to more!!

Ahh there's a trick to rolling up self inflating mats ;) Start rolling (with valves open) from the opposite end of where the valves are. Roll all the way closed, then close the valves. Unroll the mattress and roll it back up again; it'll roll much tighter as there's no air in there. When you get near the end, undo the valves, let that remaining air out, and do valves back up. Mattress should fit back into bag easily; when it's in the bag, undo a valve so the mattress can decompress in the bag. Win!

No, that's never been the issue. It's the same struggles regardless of connectivity. We finally got a new beast of a laptop out of desperation and it's helped a bit. We still can't run the latest versions though without tons of glitches.

Great behind the sense info. I noticed that you don't have/use an annex. Does 23Zero offer an annex? If so what made you decide not to get one? Thanks.

We have one but don't use it unless it's really cold or were staying in one spot a long time where we need privacy.

probable laptop cache getting filled up, you may clean temp and cache that will let you do it without a restart. Restart also cleans cache/unnecessary of that app. May be uploading way bigger than it can take. The last one gets the gaming Laptop with a lot of meat.
