Back when I used to drink a lot more in my younger years, I would take me more drinks to start feeling it than it does now. I think I used to have more of a tolerance to alcohol than I do now. That is just me personally though.

If you want to talk about potent weed, look into the story of Harrison Ford and Paul McCartney. Happened just within the last year or two. It's worth mentioning that Harrison Ford not only sold weed (Mama Cass allegedly burst out during the screening of the first Star Wars film "That's my pot dealer!" when Han Solo first appeared), but Carrie Fisher recalled that Harrison's stash was so absurdly strong that she could hardly remember the time they spent together because she was so flabbergasted by the strength of his weed, and we all know Carrie loved to party so if she's being knocked out, you know it's gotta be good. Anyways, the story goes that they bumped into each other at the same restaurant. Harrison had a joint on him and invited McCartney to come out and smoke with him. It ended up being so potent that Macca appeared to be ill and had to leave the premises, for which a statement had to be crafted for concerned onlookers that McCartney was not actually sick, he'd just gotten too high because of Harrison Ford.

I was the manager of an independant art house cinema called The Bijou in Eugene, OR and he was touring his new environmental film on bicycle, but with a support bus to sleep and eat, etc. He invited the workers and other vips out to the bus, where we hot-boxed it thoroughly!

Great story. When I was in college, I got the chance to hang out with Don mclean in the dressing room while the warm-up band was playing. The twist is, the acid started hitting hard while I was sitting there in the dressing room. 😊 He even mentioned me once from the stage during his performance.

Back in the 90s my band had just finished up at glastonbury and we were reversing out of the backstage area, I'd just rolled one and was in the passenger seat up front with my window down, as we came to a halt before turning and pulling away my bandmate pointed out that we needed to go through a gate up ahead that had a few security guys and a couple of cops around it so maybe I should extinguish what I had in my fingers, I looked to my side and inches away from my window was a guy stood alone with his back to me, I said "scuse me" and he turned around, to my surprise it was Howard Marx, I said "would you take charge of my friend here?", he smiled broadly and accepted my gift, as we pulled away Mr Marx and I shared a lasting smile in the wing mirror, it's a lovely memory

Chapin showed up at the fraternity after party. 15 year old me found myself in a room with Chapin and a dozen others hitting a bong. On night I went to the Pasadena, Texas radio station with a friend who knew the DJ. We were hanging out in the back of the studio and Three Dog Night came in. We all just sat around talking. Then they jammed and I played with them a couple of songs. They were high on pot and offered some to my friend and I. They just stopped by the radio station on their way to their next concert in Houston. They were just regular guys, like the friends I had at the time. Things were so laid back in those days. No security and hardly any rules. It’s almost impossible to get to hang out with any famous person.

I don't give a damn how big a star someone is. Your personal integrity is more important, than impressing them, or even being around them. Celebrity is an illusion. (PS: One thing that I don't see mentioned, in the comments is: If life is so grand for your celebrities, if they've got the world by the tail, why do they use so many illegal drugs ? My experiences with family members and alcohol or drugs has never been positive. I know people think I’m trying to be holier-than-thou about alcohol and pot. I have vices that are destructive as well, so I don’t think I’m perfect. I don’t like any drug, be it liquor or pot or crack, etc. being normalized or put on some “Holy Grail” pedestal. For every Joe Rogan there is someone else who can’t balance their drug intake versus a responsible life. May God help you through your journey and I hope you get well.
