what it's like to come back to an R56 Mini after 5 months abroad

I studied abroad in NZ and came back to my mini not wanting to run ( who wouldve guessed)

Bonnet was up every week on mine, always needed something fixing....crap engines and electrics

Oh also you might need to replace the fuel! Standard autogas goes bad in about a month. You could probably revive it with some seafoam in the tank or if that doesn't work I'd put some 100LL avgas in it and fire it up!

gas could be a factor as well but this problem formed a few weeks after I left. My dad went to fire it up to take it for a drive and get it out again back in march or so and ran into this issue

Are those 17’s or 18’s, what rpm are you at highway speed 75-80 in 6th? Mine is begging to slow down 55 2500 rpm in mine with stock rims This is the only car that I’ve owed the isn’t under 2k in 5th or 6th on highway honestly ready to sell it…

theyre 17s. stock wheels on jcws are 17, stock wheels on coop s are 16s. mine sits at exactly 3,000 RPM at 75 MPH. get anywhere from 36-41 MPG at that speed on highway
