Man, considering the recent developments with Jordan having departed the band, this segment of the interview makes a lot of sense. You can tell he very clearly thinks highly of Oli, but he's also extremely frustrated and holding feelings back. Sometimes you can have a work friend, someone you're buddies with at work but not really outside of it. You can work well together, you get along famously, yet outside of work; you don't really have the same relationship. It's not because you can't or don't want to, but moreso because you just live different lives outside of work. On the other end of that, you can have friends outside of work, but cannot work with said friends. I feel like Oli and Jordan are the latter, now. They started off as work friends, but over the years changed as people, becoming friends outside of it--which in turn made it mote difficult to work together. I'm rambling, but I hope my point makes sense lol At the end of the day, Jordan and Oli are friends and obviously respect one another, but they can no longer with work each other.

Jordan is seriously such a sweetsoul, he will surely be missed in the band and during shows... I feel very lucky to have seen show in his presence. The way he speaks about Oli is incredible, I've seen so many band lose a member or separate from a member and the member then spat out horrible things to the media about the other members who were still part, it's actually beautiful to show that he left for his reasons and he wasn't like pushed away or something. The fact that he explains how the lyrics mean so much to Oli and that he just want something so meaningful and that he felt privileged to work with someone like that really warms my heart. You will be missed Jordan, we still love you since the beginning you've been part of the band, I've listened to bring me the horizon since very young, and today I am glad to say thank you to you and the rest of the band. No one will ever be able to replace your amazing work.

listening to the new album i did a listen throughn and i got alot of the song references and stuff, it was cool 8.5 but listening to it over the songs that dont have Fisher on it, and taking those tracks it seems like a forced 2000's nostalgia repetitive cycle which brings it down to maybe a 7-6.5 after a few listen throughs, but BMTH adapts, its what they do, stoked to listening to their future stuff!

He said something similar to and answer in a Marshall interview. Basically, he says he likes making the different kinds of music that they do and he doesn’t let his ego get in the way of the bands vision. He doesn’t feel the need to prove he can play guitar on every track. If the track calls for it, he’ll shred but if it’s a pop track he’ll help it sound BMTH too. It’s a really good outlook to have on it. Him and the two Matt’s are insane skilled but have no problem taking the back seat to make good, interesting music.

Oil sounds like he could be frustrating in that some creatives like to be contrarian and take an existing idea and flip it, not because they had a real vision for it but they want control and your work, your idea is just to service their process. Not necessarily something to be embraced and developed as much as a springboard to mold something as if from them…..or he’s truly gifted and the other guys are comfortable with what ever gets him to where he wants to go. It can also take some humility to realize when one person is the creative heart of what brings you success and just go with it. Bands and/or lineups often don’t last because not everyone gets artistic satisfaction out of what they’re doing and burn out. Keeping a band together can be hard, whether you’re rockin’ at the local pub or playing in front of thousands.

@@KeiGambit Indeed, I don't mean it in a bad way tho. Sometimes it has to be crazy how the songs changes in the production because Oli didn't like it, the breakdown in LosT was slightly different as we can see in some of the tour videos, as we know DiE4u was kinda rushed just to have something to promote the "Post Human World Tour" so I won't be surprised if the band changes something in the release of "PH2" (like those little details on the Radio Edit), also in recents interviews Oli doesn't seem very happy with how Strangers came out so... Oliver doesn't follow trends, he starts them! Jordan is a wizard behind the computer and I couldn't imagine taking in a chorus for a week and loving it then have oli change the whole song. Patience and professionalism at its best with these guys. Sell out those arenas boys y'all deserve it! 🖤 -Love a BMTH fan since the good ol EP daze

He helps a lot, bmth need him or not, jordan helps bmth acquired new sound that oli likes and want too, remember they're album "there is a hell" , there is a song like blacklist in they're intro that's kinda bassy, and some of they're songs too, there's a sound that behind those instrument sounds like something techno or what they always use with jordan , i think many years before without jordan, oli always thinking some kind of different sound that has a like linkin park vibes so by the time jordan joined, the sound of they're music improved and enhance the way they're band sound, and now jordan is gone, still oli don't want to leave that kind of sounds, they just uploaded they're new track called kool-aid and so far it's good it's like you can still feel and hear jordan there, but whatever the problem is or what's the reason of jordan quitting is not our business, they have they're own life and got a reason too, let's just support them both, it's all thanks to us fan who supported them even by just listening to they're music. And i think oli loves being versatile and creativity so it's fine

Pretty obvious Oli has always been in control of the band. Without him there’s no BMTH. Everyone knows no one really cares for the rest of the band. Oli had the voice but also the looks. People like BMTH a lot because of Oli, not because of the band. Pretty sad but that’s how it’s been since 2006

I kinda feel Jordan was holding back in these interviews (can’t say anything to upset Oli / the band / the world). Jordan clearly has an important role in the band but I can see Oli being the head of the table and giving the final approvals. It might make Jordan feel like he’s not ‘good enough’?
